  The recommended method for re-index/reconstruction is to open Spotlight preferences panel in system preferences, click on privacy. Now add the drive that you want to re - index to privacy window. Now delete this same player of the Privacy window, and it will now be indexed/rebuilt. No necessary terminal command.

  I upgraded to MacOS Sierra recently, since then, my Mac Mini must start 5 times before it actually starts.

  I have experienced a similar curiosity, but often with messing around on a Linux partition.   I ve made just the switch to macOS Sierra on my 2014 27 "iMac and not only love him but they were"lucky"so far: everything (apart from a few little niggles in Photoshop CS6) works well. But in the calendar, I have several entries and events dating back to the 1990s that I still sometimes have to find. But rummaging through the won´t calendar show anything more than 1 year away, which is very frustrating! Someone knows how to help me, or is this a limitation of the I´ll calendar just to live with? I like using Mac calendar for its simplicity, clean up the GUI and the perfectly in-sync with my iPhone and Don t want to use a third-party program such as Fantastical or BusyCal.   You need to re-index your Spotlight cache files. Some users have had to re-index the calendar items. However, before you start trying to bugs, if your calendars are synchronized, you can try to remove the addition. System Preferences > iCloud, clear the calendar check box, and then add it again. Give it time to delete files.

  Check first under the Privacy tab in Spotlight. If the boot volume, or any volume where your data resides is listed, remove the. Spotlight will begin immediately the amount of indexing. Check back later and you should be able to find the items in Spotlight.

  HOW DO I RE-INDEX YOUR SPOTLIGHT CACHE FILES

  In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.

  * Click on the projector.

  Make this mail and Messages is enabled on the results tab of research.

  * Click on the Privacy tab.

  * Drag your player to the list. Wait a few minutes.

  * Remove the item you added.

  * Projector will be re - index the content of the element that you initially dragged to the list.

  It is possible that your Mac is always indexing of files for Spotlight.

  afternoon, this seems to be a common problem - I came here looking for an answer as well. There is a smc / ram p reset fix floating MacOS Sierra - time machinestuck preparation backup on network devices. There is also an exclusion to spotlight some suggest work. I have tried both and neither worked for me, a lot more. I ended up clear time capsule. Airport utility > change > disks > erase disk. has immediately started a new backup and have not had a problem since.

  Nothing but hurt. It is a common problem in the Sierra. One of the reasons, you must take off the coast about obtaining the latest software. It can be a bit much. If I remember correctly, they do not have the issues of EL CAP battery until le.3 ou.4 updated. (this is the solution that allowed the 8-9) I would recommend just downgrading to El Cap, as I can't imagine that the loss in the life of the battery is useful for siri.   Just my 2 cents.

• My hp LaserJet 1022nw fails to analyze the download of the printer driver after that macOS Sierra upgraded.
