• Search engines not available, except in mode "Run as Administrator". delete the parent.lock file profiles did not help

  After the upgrade to 21 FF, search engines no longer appear in the bar at the top right of the screen, so no searches are possible. I can navigate to my favorites and apparently also to the links contained in the e-mails.

  If I right click on the FF icon and choose the "Run as Administrator" option, the search engines are there again. I tried to delete the parent.lock in the profiles folder, that this solution was solved a problem I've had recently with the previous version of FF (not being not able to open FF and getting the error message on another version of it running, which had to be closed in the first place - but there was no other version running.) In this case, too, before I discovered the solution, I could open FF using the option "Run as Administrator"). However deleting the parent.lock file does not resolve this issue.

  I have several related VM pools (all persistent virtual machines) and all have different parents.

  All parents have the same software load, the same levels of patch and the same o/s.

  All the linked clones will work well if I delete all parents?

  If theres a need to recompose, I can point to a parent completely VM, crop, and all connected virtual machines will come back fine?

  I ask this question because I feel, once I attribute a relative to a pool, view Admin create a replica based on the snapshot and all virtual machines in the pool are direct clones of this replica VM.

  As long as this replica is around, the pool VM connection will be fine, even if I delete the Parent.

  Yes, you have understood the concept and components of a linked clone pool.

  Be sure to remove the parents however, make sure that you have a good and tested backup of them first, in case you need it again.

  I have a table parent and child, and when I try to delete the parent record, I get the following error:

  I have the FK is defined on the ON DELETE CASCADE, so I'm not sure of what could be the issue.

  I suppose that you use the provided script to create your tables:
  the error message indicates that the FK INCIDENT_NOTES_TBL_FK is vioalated
  And your script creates a cascade of delete on FK MYTEST_INC_NOTES_CON

  If the parent account is the user account from Microsoft, you can try to reset the password as provided article suggests. Your parents will need to validate his identity by checking a few security questions and they would be able to reset the password for this account from Microsoft.

  (a) go to control panel

  (b) select user accounts, select the user again accounts

  (c), click on manage user accounts

  (d) highlight the account you want to delete, then click on remove.

  (e) click OK.

Although not a major contributor, I've always found that an old account of work, where I am no longer employed, still has his record in C:\Users\MyUserName\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\rd4y3dca.default\ImapMail\ and takes about 1.5 GB.
