Delete files older than the time period

I have a sub (attached) vi which I have short after a period of time checks the files and comapres them against a time constraint. If this time constraint is met the files are deleted or moved. My current Setup uses file vi information to check the path of the folder. I want to delete or copy files after a period of time. In view of the last exit of change on the file information this only checks the date of last modification of the file, and I want that it checks the files in the folder. How can I do this?

Hi CAEHP

I finally get it to work. I join all of the finished program. Feel free to use and change around to meet your needs. The finished application to remove or move the files in the specified folders older than the set time. You can also set the frequency with which the application to check the folders.

Hope this helps

    Change the query that is used in wire,

    declare cur CURSOR,

  • Query a directory and delete all files older than 1 hours

    How do I query a directory and delete all files in this directory that are older than 1 hour?

    I used CFDIRECTORY before displaying the pages in the directory and the directory information, but I can't understand how to query a directory and delete all files older than 1 hour of this directory.

    1 hour of old means that time is NOW over an hour of the date and time of the file on the server.

    You need to the user a combonation of the tag to read files and the to delete the files in conjunction of a tag to decide when and when not to do the removal.  The dateDiff function would be useful in this decision.

    In the pseduo code:

    NOTE: Look closely at the way the dateDiff works with fractional amounts.  That is, 59 minutes and 59 seconds is 0 hours while 1 hour and 1 second is 1 hour with the value of 'h' percision.

    Also note that I didn't look at the syntax for one of these tags, and I probably poorly named and. or misorderd settings.

  • DateTime file back at the time UNIX

    I have some old pictures I scanned and sets the file date time via the touch control to a date earlier than the time UNIX (January 1, 1970). It works, but only for a period of time, when the file returns to the time UNIX. As I understand it, HFS + supports the beaches of dates January 1, 1904 - February 6, 2040, and touch not to complaint using the date, so I'm surprised by the behavior.

    Here is an example:

    $ touch t 194310010000 testfile

    $ ls-l testfile

    -rw - r - r - 1 personal bnixon 0 1 October 1943 testfile

    After a certain period of time (I've not been able to determine a model)

    $ ls-l testfile

    -rw - r - r - 1 bnixon personal 0 31 December 1969 testfile

    Note that I am in the Central time zone, December 31, 1969 makes sense once the time zone is applied to the date/time UTC of January 1, 1970 00:00:00.

    Any thoughts on what could be the cause and how to prevent? Or are the date before the time UNIX not supported? I ran the disk first aid, and there are no errors.

    OSX is a UNIX certified 2003 operating system and UNIX systems hate dates wrong files before the DAYS of UNIX itself. Therefore, the operating system is saying that it does not include the date of your imposed file and puts it at the TIME, the first valid date in UNIX.

    You will need to either organize your photos in the dated folder names (e.g., 1943), incorporate the photo date in the name of your file, or as a comment via Get Info Finder, whenever the date is outside the valid range of UNIX data. You can then specify the Finder, for example, to show you all the images in 1943, where this date is in the name of the folder, name of file or comments.

    Hi Ribhu,

    How did you start the Windows XP installation? This is the start of the Windows CD or Windows itself?

    You can try a new installation of Windows XP after formatting the hard drive Vista and check.

    You can consult the following wire link and check if it helps.

  • Is it possible to read the contents of the XML file rather than the properties for the location of FLEX

    Is it possible to read the contents of the XML file rather than the properties for the location of FLEX

    Strictly speaking, this is not really true. When running, the ResourceManager of IResourceBundles for localization, not deal with XML files or properties files. As long as you implement IResourceBundle, you can back it up with XML, properties, JSON, AMF files - what you want. The problem is that mxmlc will not build modules of resources for you what it is, with the exception of properties files, and cannot compile just resource bundles in a .swf using anything other than properties files. If you build your own interface to spit IResourceBundles, this could work, but it is probably more trouble that it's worth.

    (Assuming that you establish the link in the application) the best solution is to write a script to pre-process the XML in properties files.

  • Automatic purge of the OS check files older than 30 days

    Running Oracle 11.2.0.4. We are trying to purge audit records from the OS (.aud) in this case on an AIX system.

    By using this command:

    Start

    () dbms_audit_mgmt.create_purge_job

    audit_trail_type = > dbms_audit_mgmt.audit_trail_OS,

    audit_trail_purge_interval = > 24,

    audit_trail_purge_name = > 'OS_PURGE ',.

    use_last_arch_timestamp = > TRUE

    );

    end;

    /

    I managed to delete files > 30 days, you use this command to create a timestamp:

    Start

    () dbms_audit_mgmt.set_last_archive_timestamp

    audit_trail_type = > dbms_audit_mgmt.audit_trail_OS,

    last_archive_time = >

    TO_TIMESTAMP ('2015-03-14 00:00:00 ',' YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'),

    rac_instance_number = > null

    );

    end;

    /

    The way it's Setup, I can get it to delete all files before March 14, every 24 hours, which is good for April 14, 2015. However, we must somehow this automatically.

    Is anyway either have alternative use "use_last_arch_timestamp = > false" so that it does not use a time stamp, but also does not remove everything?

    Or is it possible to automate the creation of a timestamp that would create something 30 days before?

    In addition, I apologize if I don't put this in the right place, I wasn't sure at all where I should put this.

  • How to free up space in a drive by deleting files hidden from the previous operating system?

    Download a program like TreeSize Free (http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/) to see where the files take up a lot of space.  Be aware that deleting files without knowing what you're doing can cause your system to be unable to restart or cause instability can so be sure you know that you are deleting before you start.  There is no way to extend one hard disk other than to replace it, in which case you need to copy all the files from your old drive to the new.

  • Cannot delete files locked in the temp folder

    I emptied regularly delete all files in the temp via the function folder in the Tools menu of IE9 and also by searching on folder and deleting the contents of the temporary Local AppData file in the users folder.

    Ten days ago, I found there are some files in the folder temporary AppData that were locked and could not be removed. This only happens in a user account, and this isn't an administrator account. Opening of properties on any of the files by checking the Security tab, I find I am wierdly the sole owner of the file, but have limited permissions. I tried to change the permissions to get total control and then remove the file, but that did not work, nor has anything else I could think of. This included the stop of all open applications and disconnects all users.

    Other file properties:

    -Open with "Windows Shell Commo" - little matter that is.

    -Similar names to ~ DF38C18158B32C1039. TMP

    -Attributes: ATI

    -The size is small (512 bytes, for example)

    -No previous versions

    Normally the files in this folder have names like this except without the ~.

    After having in vain tried everything I could think of to delete these files, I downloaded Revo Uninstaller, who managed to remove all the files locked in the record at the time.  However, the problem resurfaced shortly after and this time Revo Uninstaller did not work.

    I spent a few days of research on the net and try different options without success until I stumbled on a recommendation to go into Control Panel, search for Java, open its settings menu and refuse authorisation for Java to back up the data on my computer.  It worked - I went back in the folder, the files were no longer locked, I was able to remove them as I usually do and I had no other problems with the locked files. Until yesterday.

    I double-checked the settings of Java to ensure that authorization still denied to save data on my computer. I don't remember now if I set permission to refuse when I checked again. I tried then to Revo Uninstaller again, but he failed again to remove these files locked. I noticed today that the date for all files is last July 15.  It seems (so far) no new files have been generated, but I still cannot delete locked files 51 of my computer.  My biggest concern, obviously, is security.  I don't want to locked files including origins, functions and activities that I do nothing on my computer, especially if I'm unable to remove them.

    I want to know how to remove these files, what caused do them appear in the first place and how to prevent them from happening again.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for this suggestion, Oberwald. It came a little too late, however.  Finally, it occurred to me to try my anti-virus software file shredder function and he managed to remove the locked files.

    I believe now these locked files were likely due to some kind of malware - after shredding, my desktop Recycle bin flashed repeatedly icon when I shut down the computer. Also, after have logged you in today, I find everything runs much faster and no sign of keylogging.  Seem to be back to normal.

    I was able to save the link and it will try in the future if necessary.

    Thanks again!
