Original title: can't delete music

I can't delete music on my memory card using windows media play. How can I delete music

Hi sheema88,

1. you are trying to delete the songs copied to the media player library?

2. what exactly happens when you try to remove the music?

3. you receive error messages or codes?

You will not be able to delete songs on your memory card using windows media player. You can only delete the songs in the Windows media player library.

Check out the link:

Remove items from the Windows Media Player library

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/remove-items-from-the-Windows-Media-Player-library

You must go to the original location and choose the music from there to delete.

a. Insert your memory card into a supported card reader connected to the PC.

b. Select "Open folder to view files" in the dialog that opens on the desktop.

c. or go to the "Start" menu and select the folder "computer". Double-click the removable disk.

d. find the music file should be deleted. Right-click on the file and select Delete.

Hope this information is useful.

    Hi kari skeins.

You can re-create the database of Windows Media Player and see if that fixes the problem. Follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

(c), select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoftand then click OK.

    (c) select the folder Media Player and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

  • I lost my music that I transferred to my Sony Walkman using Windows Media Player

I lost my music I transferred to my Sony Walkman using Windows Media Player.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

Please use the Microsoft Windows Forum.

As with any database, the information that is stored in the database or the database itself can be damaged. The Windows Media Player library database can usually recover automatically from the database. However, the database may be corrupted in such a way that Windows Media Player is unable to recover the database.

    1. click on Start , click run , type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player , and then clickOK .

    2. Select all the files in the folder and then click delete on thefile menu.

Note You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    3 restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files . To do this, follow these steps:

    # If you run Windows 7/Vista, click Start , clickrun , type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click onOK.

    # Select the folder Media Player and then click delete on thefile menu.

    # Restart Windows Media Player .

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Can I copy music from a file on my computer to a CD - R or must there be a CD - RW? I use Windows Media Player. I've done it before, but it has been so long I don't remember if I used Windows Media Player or Roxio CD software that I used to have. I want to be able to use the CD in my car. I copied a CD purchased in-store music to my computer and now I want to make a copy.

CD - R is very good.  The only difference between the two is that the written warning is much slower to write, but can be reused on a limited number of times.

  • Music in Spotify, iTunes and Windows Media Player

Well, I tried to use my programs of music on my computer for about a week and a half now, and that they won't play all my music. Not at all.  I went to support these programs, but they did not really help. I also checked to see if any of them were incompatible with my computer, which iTunes was the only one, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the version 64-bit for Windows 8 and still nothing.

I don't know if it's the sound of my computer, which I don't think it is, because it works for everything else except these three programs. And I have no idea why, and frankly, it's getting boring. I also checked my device manager and my sound system and everything is working properly.

Anyone who can help and give me some answers on this as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi JennaHarske

Please provide the following information so that I can better help you.

What is the name of the sound card you are using?

Click Start, type "Device Manager" and press ENTER.

Expand the section "audio, video and game controllers".

Right click on your sound card, and then select "Properties".

    Go to the Details tab.

Select "Hardware ID" from the menu drop down.

  • I can't remove songs off my cell phone using windows media player. I need help.

I use Windows Media Player to put music on my cell phone, but now I can not remove the music. He repeats to me that I is not able to remove it. Could someone please help me so that I can get the music off my phone?

This can vary greatly depending on the type of phone you have.  If you can let us know, we can help.

But first of all, I would like to try this:

    1. Click on start and open the work «»
    2. If your phone is listed here, double-click on it and see if you can explore the files and delete normally.
    3. If it doesn't work the first time, try to go back to 'Computer' and this time, the phone with the right button and choose "Explorer" instead.  On some phones, it connects to a different method and allows you to use that way.
  • Scratchy Audio only when you use Windows media player

For more than a month now, when I use Windows Media Player 11 to play any audio file, the music sounds saturated and rough. The volume is louder than normal. It is on a 5 year old XP PC, and I haven't added new software or hardware lately.  I can play the same files on the same PC with other readers multimedia (VLC Media Player or Quicktime) and I don't have this problem, and it's okay if I use headphones or speakers. I tried to uninstall WMP11, but WMP10 has the same problem, and when her reinstalled WMP11 still sounds bad. I have also reinstalled the codecs windows audio. Any ideas?

Check the audio improvements and put them all turned off:
Begin playing a file and then click the arrow below the now playing tab, point to enhancements, click show improvements and then go through each of the options.

You can also check and disable plug-ins:

If you have a music video, your friends sing you could install a flash drive on the Web site. If it is just an audio file, you must download the file to a file free host then post a link to the file on the Web site.  If Windows Media Player comes into play depends on what media player the person clicking the link used as their default media player. Windows Media Player will play no role in the file on your website. The link below contains a list of free audio files, hosting sites. There are many others that you can find with a simple search on Google.

Hi, I am wanting to put a dvd video holiday on my windows media player. I don't see how you ripp my single player music video is possible. Can you please advice

    Hey stevpw65,

It is not possible to rip DVD using Windows Media Player. You must use a program designed to legally to copy files from a DVD to a computer.

Unlike the DVD, you can rip a CD using the player. Information is available here.

    Extract music from a CD

Please use your favorite search engine and browse for a DVD ripper software which can be used for this purpose.

  • How can I transfer music from my iPod to Windows Media Player?

    Windows media player/Center

How can I transfer music from my iPod to Windows Media Player?

WMP is not built-in iPod support, so you will need to use another media player, such as iTunes or Winamp, to get the music from the iPod to the PC (I don't know if iTunes will allow you to do, but Winamp will certainly be).

If you then copy the music files to your personal music collection, they appear automatically in the WMP library.
