Delete specific files of a project without deleting

A common operation in the lab I work in is:

Take a basic VI and change it to specific experimental purposes. The way we have done in the past is using the "save under...". "and selecting: 'Open additional copy' (and adding this file to the unique project that we use for all our work of LabView; probably a silly thing to do from the outset, only seen one project). However, we recently encountered a few problems with this (surprise, surprise) because a user has modified a Subvi, which was referenced by several rappclc. So, we decided instead start using individual projects and duplicate any relevant hierarchy to avoid changing the common files.

The first time that we tried to do this, we used "save under...". "and"Double hierarchy,"then save the new files on a new project. However, the duplicate files were added somehow the original project as well. The result is that there are several conflicts that whenever files are responsible for each project. The obvious way to solve this problem is to delete the overlapping of the original project, but I can find no way of simply remove them without deleting the files! This is a serious nuisance. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for the reply. I guess that's the way of the brute force to go, I was wondering if there was a more generally including remove the individual references, or several files. Thanks also for pointing out the mess of the icon.

    General file recovery

If you stop using the drive, it is possible to recover files that have not been overwritten by using the recovery software such as MAC Data Recovery, Data Rescue II, recovering files or TechTool Prodeleted.  Each of the previous ones come on a bootable CD for use without risk of writing, more data on the hard drive.  Two free alternatives are disc drill and TestDisk.  Look for them and demos to MacUpdate or CNET downloads. Recovery software generally provide trial versions that allows you to determine if the software would help before actually paying for it. Beyond that, or if the drive has completely failed, you must send the drive to a recovery service which is very expensive.

The hard drive remains the most widely used and the data are recorded, the greater the chance that your deleted files will be overwritten.

  • How to delete files, getting the project exceeds the capacity of the disk in again

I burned this project twice now, with DVDs fine engraving.  I wanted to just change a few things on the menu.  Now when I go to burn, I get the error message "disk capacity superior project.»

This seems odd given that the previous fine burned DVD.  I think the previous Burns/renderings are in the path.

In my edition previous softare, if I had to do something, a new rendering and re - burn video, I would click in the menu "delete all auxiliary files for this project."  But I don't see that in again.  Where can I remove this temporary/auxiliary/or what do you call the files?  What they call?

    Thank you!

526 KB used for DVD-ROM content.  I don't know what the content from.  How/where would I delete that?

Basically, this means that you don't have any content ROM. It's just the General fresh minimum necessary, you must add the ROM content - this size is normal.

Back up a little, you said you did not have the Cache of database cleanup/remove function in audio/video IN & OUT. I was of course about my still (2.0), so I'd go for help and look for "Cache" as CS4 has probably moved things - sorry for the "wild goose chase."

EncoreDVD 2.0, media Cache files are stored in a folder (Cache\Media Cache files) in the hierarchy of the project files. There will be several subfolders in this one. Do not know if in CS4 has changed this hierarchy.

  • Delete a source code control RoboHelp project, without opening HR

    Hello

I use HR 11 and Visual Studio source code control.

I need to take an archived version of my HR project and open it to the changes that are not in the current project.

When I unpack my archive, it automatically links to the source code control and downloads the latest version of the project.

It supersedes the current source code control project and even change the mapping of the source control path must match the project archives.

So what I need to be able to do, is open my archives project without source code control interface. Is there a file I can edit linking the project to source code control? I can't even open the project in HR because it distracts the mapping of source control.

    Thank you.

It is fairly easy to do. See Rick's excellent post: October 2004 - ban witchcraft do not forget to remove the CPD file however.

  • Collect project without changing the file structure?

Hi all, anyone know if there is a way to collect a project without overlapping of images in a folder (film)? I organize my pictures in a folder with the files to the appropriate subcategory, I work, but like to use collect in order to reduce my folder of images at the end, as often, I have tons of items to choose from that I, or items left behind by the previous revised project, in the end, States I always end up with a folder of images in a folder of images. (I know that I have worked with all my images to the same level as my project, but what a waste.) I don't work that way.)  How other to face this? Looks like there must be a simple way that I'm not aware of. Thank you for your comments!

If you just want to clean up your ASP project so that only the images used in the project remains in the project Panel, then simply use the Reduce function. The collect function has no option to recreate the same folder structure you have in the AE project Panel.

If you want to manage the content of your files by removing the assets then you must use the collect function and then find a way to reorganize the structure of your file on your hard drives. I only use the collect function when I say someone to work on a project that has been approved. If they have access to the original images I'll let worry about duplicates on their own system.

For all of my clients, all assets (videos, photos, pictures, scripts, notes, project management, billing - everything to do with this customer) go into specific folders and the original documents and the revised documents are never deleted. I have a carefully designed project of numbering and system files I used for many years going back to my days of working with film. Basically I have folders arranged like this by job under each customer number so I can watch my logs of project or an invoice or an e-mail with the project included number and go directly to resources for this job years later.

    • Docs

      • Invoices
      • Scripts
      • Production notes
      • Search
    • Video
      • The original film Date data / scenes
      • Intermediaries / scenes
      • Rendering of effects / scenes
      • 3D rendering / scenes
    • Audio
      • Production date / scenes
      • Scratch titles
      • Audio processing / scenes
    • Project files
      • After Effects / scenes
      • First / scenes
      • Illustrations
        • Air currents
        • Approved

You get the idea. Personally and I learned this the hard way, I have never intentionally remove any work product or communication that I used to create any work for any client, I just organize files in a way that puts all the work approved in the approved appropriate folder and that the customer has access to the work approved.

  • How can I save a directory or a specific file without saving the Image to the system?

Purchased new software my company insists on the fact that we back up software data every day on a USB. I tried to schedule a backup, but I don't want the Image of the backup system. How can I save a directory or a specific file without saving the Image to the system?

When you choose what to back up, simply uncheck the box of system image:

Or another simple way is to program a command that copies the files on your USB key, replacing the backup from the night before.

For example, this command copies all of my 'Project X' folder on my USB drive (drive E :)

  • Check in a project without media

    Hi all.

Probably a very simple answer to this question, but something I have not been able to work on myself.

I currently have a library containing a single project which takes up 100 GB of storage on my external HARD drive.

This project is complete, so I want to archive in case it is needed in the future.

I reduced the size of the library en masse by deleting files of rendering.

Now, I created a library called "Library Archive" on another external drive, then selected the initial project, and then file > copy to the library project.

I select the 'library of the archives', I did not checked 'include proxy support' etc, but it does increase the size of my library of archives to 7 GB.

I want to only save the project without any media - if I need to use the project in the future, I can re-import the original media.

Is there a simple way to do this?

    Thank you.

MMake a new library on the same drive as the original.  In the properties of the Library set an external file to the media. Copy the project that you want to check in the new library.

  • How can I move specific files according to date to a new drive and recreate the folders that they were originally in?

I would like to take I have saved a search to sort by date and then move them to another drive and also preserve or recreate specific subfolders, in that they were originally of specific files. How do I do that? I found an and only a third party program which claims to work with the copy of the files and other. It is called "Copywhiz" but I don't think that it has this ability account required from what I've seen of him. I looked up information about the xcopy command, but his date setting allows only a specific date, not a date range. What is the best way to do it if possible? Otherwise I'll have to go through the TEDIOUS process of your time to copy all the folder and its subfolders to the other drive, looking all over again for a date range and delete these files and not in the range of dates, I want to be in the files in specific folders. I hope it is clear to you because I have no other way to explain. The specific details of the project are that I have a bunch of psd files in many subfolders based on the object. Of these files, I want those who are previous to the year 2009. I want to have the records that those displaced persons files were to be preserved in their new location. Essentially, I want to replicate the folder structure that only selected files to the new drive.

I could get this link to work, so I downloaded from http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/RoboCopy-Download-87790.html.

I tried it and it worked and it was relatively simple.  He did the directory and the structure of the subdirectories as well.

In my view, is the command you would use in command prompt:

ROBOCOPY sourcedirectory *.psd /E MINAGE:20081231 destinatiiondirectory

I think that's all there is to it.  It worked for me when I did something similar with all .doc files in the My Documents folder.

WOW!  It was fairly easy and well obviously the solution.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck.

  • Need to block specific files to be seen through writecopy (Adobe Reader - Accessability)

Adobe Acrobat is a new feature for Accessability.  If the accessibility equipment is on the PC, Adobe reader will open with frequent messages for accessibility (accessibility.api or readoutloud.api).

That's a virtual IE6 without adobe acrobat reader installed. Acrobat Reader is outside of the virtual application on the local PC.

Is there a way to block specific files to make it past thru; but getting the rest of the file structure?

"Delete" since an embedded .vbs script file. Assuming that the directory has the writecopy isolation mode, it will be only to mark the file as deleted in the sandbox, not actually remove the file from the system. However, any attempt to open the file of the virtual application will fail because the virtual application is the file is no longer there.

  • Find the files .html and .htm without a .dwt (model)

I have a site with 1 933 .html and .htm files. 809 files 1 933 have a. tpl. This leaves 1 844 files with n. tpl. I want to give the files of 1844 a. tpl. To make sure that I'm clear, I have 1 844 files .html and .htm without a parent of the model. I would like to locate them and give them a parent. TPL. My question is, other than opening and looking at each of the 1933 files, how can I find these orphaned files?

I found the best thing for me to do was a: 'Find and replace' research; "Search in: all current Local Site; "Search for: Source Code; "Find: ;" check "ignore white space /" and then "search everything".

This will find all htm and html documents in the properties. Scroll through the list looking for something out of use. It is not as difficult as it sounds. For example, I had more than 2,000 listed documents. The majority of my documents should have httpdocs\sermons. Anything outside of this folder has become suspect. I found a folder that I downloaded in an attempt for the redesign of my site to reagent trying to meet the demand of mobile enjoyment of Google. The folder contained over a thousand documents not in the httpdocs\sermons folder. I deleted the entire folder. I did another search 'find and replace '. I've then easily accounted for all my documents.

I keep thinking that there should be a way of locating documents not related by a .dwt (model).

Murray and Nancy's O thanks for your time and knowledge.

MicroSoft has released an update for Windows, which poses problems with screens. What follows is of Talbot McInnis, who has been tracking this problem and offers a solution:

"MS technology MS13-057.  Specifically, on kb2834904 XP and windows 7 kb2803821 is causing a problem

For us, it happens when the decoding of WMV9 files.  Not all uses of decoding WMV are affected, but I have confirmed that when linking the WMV decode DLL to a sample for RGB32 video grabber, executives are black on top, so that points directly to the internal data of the dll to decode WMV decoding.

You can uninstall these windows updates to fix your problem. »

  • Opening specific file causes Flash crash

Hello! I'm a freshman college working on a project of animation in Adobe Flash Cs6 I ran into a problem where I can't access a specific file than what I'm getting. I am able to open the Flash and any other project file I want, but not this one. When opening it (no matter how I do or on any computer), it will instantly break the program without warning.

I ran into problems where a few days ago each time, I tried to save / he recorded automatically, an error message would jump by saying that he could not save the file type and to rename the file or change its location. Even if I did these things, he would always come with this message. However, the file was still save so I thought it was some weird glitch.

But now I'm very sad because the animation, I had worked for the past two weeks is now all gone and due Tuesday.

Is it possible to get it in its entirety? Thank you very much!

My specs: Flash CS6, Windows XP operating system

    your file is corrupted.

I know it's too late, but you should start to develop the habit of saving your work using different file names, if this never happens to you again.  most of us who have been programming for a while (whether using flash or html5 or php or whatever) to develop a naming model that suits us.  I use a naming like game_01.fla, game_02.fla etc.  so, if game_32.fla is corrupted and I can't open it, I can open game_31.fla and I lose jobs of less than an hour.

in any case, at this point, rename your file xxx.fla to xxx.zip.  then unzip this file into a new folder.  You can recover most of your assets and add them to a new fla uncorrupted.

If your zip file is corrupted, try to fix it. There are zip utility of repair available.

  • How can I recover a data file if it drop without backup!

    Dear friends,

    I have a request.

In oracle database 10g, I created a database of test name 'medium '. I created a tablespace "support_ts" here.
In my absent mind, I deleted the data file that is associated with "support_ts" physically. Logically the tablespace information is in the database, but physically the data file is deleted.

'SUPPORT' database has no backup (export and rman), also the database is in noarchivelog mode.

Now, is it possible to recover or do I focely delete the tablespace for database information? While, in the next database startup search information tablespace "support_ts"?

    Hello

Recover the data file is not possible without the backup of the data file.

You can re-create the control file and the startup of the database.

Steps to recrete the control file.

    1. change controlfile backup of database to trace in the "";
    2. open the control file and remove the entry from tablespace and datafile support partly noreset newspapers.
    3. connect sys as sysdba
4 cancel immediately / closed stop
    5 startup nomount
    6. paste balls noreset controlfile content
    7. After you have created the mount controlfile and open the database.

  • When I linked book FM, I have files in the project files, but no chapter file in Table of contents chapter

Using RH9 in TC 3/Windows XP

I've linked to a number of books in this project. A book has all the chapters files well displayed in project files folder in the project manager, but have no books in the table of related materials.  Only topics.  How to fix this problem.  It seems that I deleted all the files in the table of contents before that I can delete the TOC file in the project manager, but is it anyway to regenerate the table of contents?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Mary

    Hi parties,

You don't want to say that the table of contents are different in RoboHelp compared to FrameMaker TOC, please take a look at this blog http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2010/03/demystifying_mapping_filesettingisf_and_toc_genera tion.html- it might be useful.

you don't Ned to remove the link from the book of RoboHelp can just make changes in FrameMaker or update and correct path of TOC in RoboHelp and Force the link to update.

It should make changes in ROboHelp TOC.

In addition to that you can change the table of contents to RoboHelp after generation according to your need (these changes are going to get is returned on the next update)

    Hope this will help

  • NEITHER supplied include files copied to project files?

I pulled out a project compiled and disseminated under a particular version of the CVI [8.1.x].

Then some time later, another person retrieved the project for maintenance and has tried to compile it, they could not find the NOR include files.

    They come back to me!

The reason why they could not compile the project was that they used the CVI 9.x.

The project was looking for the include files in \Program Files\CVI81. Complaints went to the Manager.

So, the question is a practical common.

If the list of project files, point on the NOR prescribed [installed] folder locations.

or if the necessary include files be copied manually in 'local' project folders before the release?

    Thank you

    Scott Youngren

    Northrop/Grumman electronic systems

The short answer is no: OR the include files must remain in their repertoire; the IDE should solve all the paths by itself.

    To learn more:

    • #include directives must only list the names of files, not the path names
    • All basic guidelines OR files include must go in the support of style (for example #include )
    • Instruments include files should go in the style of the quotes (e.g., "inifile.h" #include)
    • Your include files may go to the source folder or other folders of your choice (see following)
    • Change project options to set 'Include path' (i.e. folders where the include files are searched): applied to all the draft instruments loaded like a library specific to the current project for application-specific include paths

I always got my projects in accordance with these rules and never had a problem in the upgrade version of the IDE while developing. You will see that most of them is automatically defined by CVI (e.g. when the system asks you to include some files needed for some statement: it uses the correct style).
