Delete the playlist

Somehow, I ended up with a Genius playlist, containing songs more 8 million in my iTunes. Whenever I go into iTunes and the attempt to delete the playlist, it will freeze iTunes and does not delete the playlist. Is there a file somewhere this playlist where I can remove it without using iTunes? What I've read, it seems that the playlists are all related in a file any? I don't care if deletes every playlist at this point, I just want it gone.

The songs have duplicated themselves many times over in this playlist, which is initially to show as many files. I do not have a lot of songs LOL

Unless you're 'home sharing', which he does not seem like you are, two libraries (macbook and iMac) are distinct, so a change does not affect the other.  Best way to test would be to remove a few songs you can download easily and see if it changes.  But I don't think it will be a problem.

  • If I built a playlist can I delete songs in the music list without deleting the playlist

I downloaded an album and had to rearrange songs about it.  I made a playlist and put everything in the right order.  I am now able to remove the songs in the list of music that aren't in the right order

If 'list of music' is your iTunes music library.  The playlist is simply a list of songs that are in your iTunes music library, you have chosen and placed in a desired order.  A song on the playlist cannot exist here if it is not in your library iTunes music.  If you delete a song on the playlist of your music library, it disappears from your playlist.

  • Impossible to permanently delete iTunes Playlist

I seem to have a playlist iTunes ghost on my iPhone 5s that I can't seem to permanently delete.

You can see the contents of the playlist in the image below. I can select each song and remove them, but they come back after I have sync the iPhone with iTunes on my Mac mini.

I'm sure I'm wrong, but is there a way to permanently delete this playlist on my iPhone? Thanks in advance!

TT2 is the iTunes of real experts around here, so hopefully it will chime.

In the meantime, I guess that you delete the playlist in iTunes. Is this correct? I also see that the songs have the dreaded punctuated by circles next to them. Which is never a good thing, I know. I read that if you unsync your music and delete this and then Resync, these circles go away and the music should appear on the device again. Then you should be able to remove them properly.

I will admit that I am no expert on iTunes, but I know that dotted circles are not good.

  • When I make a playlist on iTunes to burn a CD, the songs of the playlist are wrong

I burned a CD on iTunes, but the labelling of the songs is incorrect.  I deleted the playlist from iTunes and make a new burn a new CD, but it does the same thing.  Is there a way to fix this? The CD I'm burning was not purchased from iTunes.

    Tacos of thought says:

    Thought,

From your description, I think you're talking about ripping, not burning, correct?

When the CD is inserted, iTunes retrieves a "best estimate" track of the Gracenote database information.  If information is missing or incorrect, you can fix it via right click, get information on the track (s) concerned.  Make the corrections before the investigation period, and then the imported tracks will go into iTunes with the correct tags.

  • How can I delete the column work in 'view as Playlist "?

In iTunes 12 for Windows, I consult a reading list, and in the iTunes menu bar, I chose Visualiser\Mode as playlist.

It gives me a numbered list of the tunes in the playlist, but for each song in the playlist, I always get a box useless art with a note of music in there.

How can I remove this unwanted column 'field work' from this point of view?

I already did what follows, to remove all the illustrations in iTunes:

    (1) I deleted all of my entire library of music art.

    (2) in Library\Songs, I have selected the Display Options and have disabled 'Art Show'.

    (2) in Library\Songs, I have selected the Display Options and have disabled 'Art Show'.

    Auto

You must uncheck this box especially for the Playlist you are viewing.

  • Songs of my music are also deleted from the playlist.

The new feature added to the playlists of songs are not added to my music is awesome. The only problem is that if you delete a song (or album that contains a song on a playlist), it is also deleted from the playlist.

Everyone would like to have (at least the option) to keep the songs on a same so removed my music playlist?

Sorry, you can not. Playlist is only a link to the current music file.

If you pull the carpet (delete the file), the playlist will link dangling to nowhere.

I have the song in the playlist right click and you click on delete, then the song just completely deleted my iTunes library. But I want only to remove it from my reading list. How can I remove songs from playlist without deleting the library?

Highlight the track, press the delete key. If it still removes the track completely from the library, then at some point in the past you must tell it to do things like that.   iTunes prefs > advanced > reset all warnings of the dialog box. - https://discussions.apple.com/message/23987276

  • delete the file associated with playlist

If I import a set of files in iTunes that I have worked with previously, the program has somehow, platforms, written in the files that they are now associated with a playlist.

But where the ID tag or file header is this and how can I remove it?

It appears in the properties of the Win Explorer, it does not show in the menu 'get info' in iTunes (unless I missed it), and it does not show in sch third-party programs such as mp3tag.

I tried to get rid of it by deleting the actual playlist, but once I drag and drop one of the files that are used to be in this new in iTunes, the playlist will reappear.

So, I went to "Edit Playlist", then deleted all the files it contains. Now I have several empty playlists. But, again, if I drag move the files back into iTunes, playlists are back.

It says "part of a compilation" in the properties of the file, but this field is always empty.

So, how can I delete iTunes playlist audio file association?

    THX.

Remove all file from playlist (.m3u) that is located in the folder containing the media that are imported.
