Deleting the file Windows 7 games

Greetings;

For my part, a great multitude, would be hale anyone who can devise a way to PERMANENTLY REMOVE THE FILE from any WINDOWS 7 MORE GAMES.

I have a NETBOOK computer and covet the rather limited memory storage. I know for a fact that there are many others like me in my college

who are trying their best to ELIMINATE THE GAMES FOLDER.

It's almost become a scenerio over GREAT RACE. I really believe that if MICROSOFT wanted to perform a PUBLIC RELATIONS BIG ACT that

It would create and offer a GAMES WINDOWS 7 FILE UPDATE that would allow the removal of the FILE GAMES only.

Why not trust your customers to make a simple decision to NOT HAVE a file as banal and unimportant as the GAMES FILE under WINDOWS 7?

  • Cannot delete the file - Windows 7 cannot check location

    Hello all,.

After the upgrade to Windows 7, I tried to delete the Windows.old folder. However, I encountered a problem; There are two files in this folder that Windows 7 can not remove. When I try to delete them, I get an error message stating that Windows cannot locate the two files and it asks me to check their location. Is there a way to get around this?

    Thank you

    Garrick

When the above does not work, try this:

    1. click on windows orb
    2. type cmd in the search box
    3. right click on cmd in the results menu and click on run as administrator
    4. control windows opens, must be in the directory c:\windows\system32
    5. go into c:\ do this type cd... until you reach c:\
6 goto directory where the file to be deleted. example c:\windows.old\users
7 type rd /s (directory name)
8 get invites to delete y/n type y and press on enter

After successful removal, you can check the windows Explorer and see that the file is missing.

Example, I have a directory on my c drive named windows.old, under windows.old that I have a user directory and then several subdirectories, 1 directory happens to be named bill. For some reason any windows can not find this place and will not delete the folder. I then who follow the previous steps and remove this directory.

So, in step 6, I would like to c:\windows.old\users goto, I then head to step 7 and enter the rd/s Bill and enter. Follow step 8 and the file is missing.

Let us know if that helps.

Pop-up window automatically downloaded a file to my laptop. I deleted the file in my downloads, but how can I be sure I have removed completely?

If you know what has been downloaded, I would use EasyFind:

    https://iTunes.Apple.com/us/app/easyfind/id411673888?MT=12

In addition, I would like to launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac:

These steps will not guarantee that all items have been reomoved.  This is possible only by backing up your data, erase the HARD drive and then reinstalling the OSX and your data.

  • What happens if I delete the files in the Temp folder in Windows 7?

What is happening in the windows--> Temp folder in windows 7, and if I delete the files there, that will be a problem?  I want to free up the disk space of 1.8 G, but can't find any info anywhere of the consequences of deleting these files, what they are for, or how they got there.  Thank you!

In general, it is safe to delete anything in the Temp folder.  Sometimes, you can get a "Cannot be deleted because the file is in use" message, but you can just ignore these files.

For safety, do your Temp directory deletion right after you restart the computer.  Sometimes a program installer will put something in the Temp directory it needs to complete the installation after a reboot.  If you restart and wait a bit so that they were, whatever left in the Temp folder should be OK to delete it.

If you want to be conservative, use the built-in Disk Cleanup tool (type of cleaning disc in the search box).  If you select "Temporary files" as one of the elements to clean (deleted), by default, that Disk Cleanup removes only the files that have not changed in 7 days.

There are files in my library that I deleted the files, but the items still appear in my library. An example would be the items stored in the folder 'Public '.  When I right click on the file and choose 'Remove', nothing happens.  Any suggestions on how to get these files is no library WMP?  I tried already to 'Restore the library' and I also tried "sfc/scannow", which did not find any problem.

It seems to be a corrupt library file.  In any case of the deletion and re-creation of who?

    Hello

The update option in the settings of PC mentions that you can save your personal files, it does not mention programs and applications.

The first screen you see when you select the refresh option is as follows.

You will need to reinstall all of the programs deleted.

For the question of multi-geste, contact Samsung support to download the latest driver for this component.

  • Is it safe to delete the file$ $NtUninstallKB2718704?

There are so many files under the directory of the window.

I would like to know if it is safe to remove them manually or not.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions :>

    C:\WINDOWS

    $NtUninstallKB2718704$

    $NtUninstallKB2719985$

If your PC behaves properly, you can remove hidden files fix for Windows backup in WINDOWS folder, whose names begin with $NTUninstallKB. Be aware that once they are removed you will not be able to uninstall the updates they represent. Remove only the $NTUninstallKB files that relate to corrections, not those for applications such as Word, WMP, etc.. In addition, DO NOT DELETE THE folder$ $hf_mig.

Just in case you need it, copy the files on a CD/DVD to enable their restoration if a correction needs to be uninstalled later. Now delete the folder \WINDOWS, but leaves the orphan entries to add / remove programs intact.

  • Delete the files in the C:\i386\svcpack directory

I need to free up space on my C: partition, this directory looks like as if it had a good number of files that can offer valuable space, I need

    Hi Yoda-R6,

Deleting files from the i386 is not recommended, unless you have a genuine Windows XP installation CD. Sometimes the files in c:\i386 (or C:\Windows\ServicePackFile\i386) are needed to replace a damaged operating system file.  It doesn't happen very often, but if this happens to you and you have deleted the files, then you may need to use the Windows XP installation CD to replace the files.

  • Deleting the file in the Temp folder

I have a file in my TEMP folder called BCGECE. TEMP

He said: I can not remove it because it is used by another person or program and to close all applications and try again. I have notheing ope, but still can not remove it?

    Suspect A malware.

What anti-virus application is installed? What's his current subscription? He has never been allowed to expire?
What other antimalware applications are in use?

Download, install, update and run full scans with each of the following free tools. Do not run the scans at the same time. Each analysis will take a long time, so start an and then go for a non computer chore.  Leave the delete/quarantine everything it finds. Once completed, you can uninstall these applications.
    MalwareBytes AntiMalware
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do a scan with the free eSet online scanner virus

    B. delete the file

Assuming that the file is not removed by one of the above tools, the following steps work almost always:

    • Close all running applications.
    • Open Task Manager (press CTRL + ALT + DELETE)
    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line
      CD folder
dir b * (this step is only to list all the files to confirm that you have changed the appropriate directory, make sure that BCGECE.) TEMP is in the list)
    • In Task Manager, find explorer.exe in the processes list, select it, then click on "end process."  Your desktop will become empty except for open windows from the command prompt and the Task Manager
    • Return to the command prompt window and type the following line and press enter
      del BCGECE. TEMP
    • In the Task Manager, click file > new task (run...) and type explorer.exe in the area. Click OK. Your desktop should reappear
    • Close the Task Manager windows command prompt

If for any reason the foregoing does not, from the start in a "clean boot" configuration XP and delete the file in the usual way.   Use "Method 2" (manual method) to the linked article.

  • If I delete a file in the search results pane, am I actually delete the file or just the result of search?

I'm a bit confused about the Windows XP search results pane.  I need to winnow down remove some of the documentation noted that the results do not apply.  If I remove them in the search results pane, am I actually remove the document from the PC or just delete the search result and leave the document in its original file?

    Hello

You delete the file. Try it yourself...

    • For example, create a document with a unique name (say qwerty987.doc) word
    • Search all files and folders to qwerty987
    • Right-click on the file in the search results, and then click Open containing folder
    • Research of two results of window and the window of the folder containing the visible file (resizing and movement to achieve, as appropriate)
    • Remove the test file in the search results window and watch it disappear from the other window too

    Tricky
