• I did a system restore and the files are still there, but I can't find the location.

  I use Windows 7 Professional and everything seems to work very well. I joined my new Transcend f25 USB (300g) to use for backups. I copied on about 20 concerts of archives and had run Windows it's first backup.

  Everything seemed fine, and the available space on the disc is now about 230g, that sounds right. The problem is I see only empty folders on disk!

  Now, I know with certainty that the files are there because I tried to plug the drive in an old laptop XP - bingo there was all my files! Can someone advise me? This seems to be a configuration problem, or maybe a drive error. The files were there when I added in the first place, however, is very strange!

  How can I see my files? Help!

  Check the disk for errors by using this procedure.
  1. open the computer by clicking the Start button, click computer.

  2 - Click on the drive you want to check, and then click Properties.

  3. click on the Tools tab and then, under check for errors, click Find now.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will be a problem, but not to fix them.

  To perform a thorough check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This analysis tries to find and repair physical errors on the disk itself, and it may take much longer to complete.

  To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

  4. click on start.

  Go in Edition > Preferences > Performance (on a Mac: Lightroom > preferences > Performance) and uncheck CPU graph use.

  The library, go to:

  File > open recent

  Choose a catalog named so in the list, otherwise go to the catalog folder (normally found photos in) and double click (Ctrl-click) on the catalogue with the .lrcat extension

  If still not appear the pictures, go to a dated backup folder, when it was last working and launch of the .lrcat file.

  Look carefully at the audio track of the timeline in the vicinity of title of the file.

  

  The title of your file audio timeline shows: level of Volume or something else. If something else, click the tiny triangle where

  the red arrow in the screen shot is sharp and select the Volume and then level so that you end up with

  Volume: level as shown in the screenshot.

  Hope it's the factor involved.

  Not quite sure what you mean.  Finder allows you to search for things in the folders on your computer.  Photos is an application that has its own library where the pictures are stored.  If you find one of these photos in the Finder, then delete, Yes, it will disappear from your photo library.

• How to delete items hidden around the visible area of PDF?

  is there a way to remove easily abject (images, text...) around the visible area of PDF? See here: http://screencast.com/t/TCUMZENn4Nj as you can see in the screenshot above, are not only the extra images (its different forms and sizes at random pages) using the space and make the file more big, its not either allow me to focus a "Draft" watermark when I try to place it in the middle of the visible area. I tried to use the 'Optimize PDF' feature and checked all the option "throw objects', 'Clean Up' and ' ignore data user" but who has not actually removed something around the visible area of PDF. Does anyone have ideas of how essentially from crop everything outside the visible page?

  BTW, I know that there is an option I can unckeck and the watermark will be focused: "Keep position and size of the constant of the watermark text when printing on different page size", however, is not a good idea, because 1) in the definition of the opacity of the watermark less than 100%, black becomes opaque 2) objects around the visible area still take place and increase the size of the file.

  There is a fixed upstream - "Delete page objects that are completely out of the box trim" which should work, but isn't here. (Probably because the limit of some items that happens in headliner area)

  Missing? Do you mean that in the photos, there's a question mark icon? Or do you mean something else?

  This also happens on my laptop which is a Macbook Air, so it's not limited to the Windows 7 version of Firefox.

  When there is no data icon in the XML file, then Firefox will be able to display such an icon.
