Deletion of data on Z3 compact email

I'm trying to free storage space to install the latest version of the OS. If I delete the data in my email email application always will remain on the server?

In this case any e-mail that you delete in the phone is also deleted from the server.

If you have a large amount of e-mail that you want to remove from your phone, you can remove the e-mail account in settings > accounts. After deleting the account, you can then erase data to the email application in settings > Apps > Email > storage > clear data.

If this is not sufficient to allow you to update your device you can that uses most of the storage in settings > storage. In most cases, it is downloaded apps that uses storing more then you might need to uninstall some of your applications, at least temporarily, in order to make the update.

After compacting emails, all my emails from September 2011 until now have disappeared. Are there opportunities that I get back them? I use Outlook Exprees and he suggested that I should compact messages. I've done it several times before and everything was OK until

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

    Recovery methods:

If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

I have synced my firefox bookmarks so that I could the reupload if ever my computer wiped, so I don't have a second device with the touch of synchronization on this subject. I made the mistake of recording only the sync on the computer key. I just got my computer back to the shop and they erased my operating system without asking. Now, I don't have my sync key and the only way to access my account synchronization requires that I have change the timing key and delete all data saved on the server. How can I access my data?

BTW, the Firefox sync service is not intended for "backups", it is supposed to synchronize your Firefox data between different "devices." Any chance you have more than one device with this sync account configuration? If so, you can use the sync this device key.

  • Deleting your iCloud account deletes the data?

I'm in Australia and we have mandatory data retention laws so they may be required by law.

I'm not aware of any way to delete an account iCloud. You can remove an account from a device and you can delete the data in an account, but in both cases, the account itself still exists.

  • Recovery disk is deletes the data at the 2nd disk on Satellite A300?

    Hello
I use a laptop Toshiba A300, which has 2 hard drives (250GB). The laptop has Windows Vista Home Edition 32-bit installed, but I want to change for Windows Vista 64-bit, which comes with the recovery disk, in order to use all 4 GB of RAM.

I have all the backup data and move them to the 2nd HARD drive (D, C named first name).

So I wonder if Recovery Wizard will delete the data of the two hard disks or just a 1st.

    Thanks in advance
    Kevin

    Hello

Your laptop was equipped with HARD drive recovery option allows you to create the own Toshiba Recovery disk which would be contains the preinstalled operating system.
In your case the Vista 32 bit.

And Yes, install from the recovery disk format the whole HARD drive and removes all the disk, also of the second partition.

That's why to create the recovery disk before you install or change anything on the HARD drive

How encrypt or delete my data in order to send my computer in for repair? I send you my computer to HP for repair & I need to delete all my personal data off of it for obvious reasons and I don't know how to do this. Is there anyone who can help me?

    Hi @mamasullens ,

Thank you for your request, I am happy to be of assistance!

I understand that you want to delete all your personal data before you send it in for repair.  I understand your concern, but it is not necessary to delete your data.  If you feel more comfortable deleting data before you send it if for repair, you can most certainly.

Firstly, I would like to back up data to avoid loss.  Here is a link to the How to use the command Format of writing, of zeros on a hard drive (pcsupport.about.com)

There is third party software that will also help to remove the data from the drive. For example, here is an article from WikiHow.  How do I permanently erase data on a hard disk of.

I hope I addressed your concern.

You do not have.  You add another e-mail address as a second email account, while you keep the other at the same time.  But as stated to Veritas, it would be useful that you got a little more specific if you want a more detailed answer.
