Dell Digital Delivery - pending items / pending

About a month after I took delivery of my Ultabook XPS 14, Dell digital delivery arises and installed FastAccess facial recognition.  Large.  Worked well.

I had been wondering about products Adobe Elements that have been promised as part of the new package laptop but have been too busy to follow.  I was pleasantly surprised to see - a day after the installation of facial recognition, as digital delivery was now to show Adobe first 10 items in the list.

However... First has been here for about 2 weeks now, with the status of "Waiting".

When I look in the DDD event log, it shows "Got 2 pending downloads from Dell servers" - every minute!

I have a d! MN fine internet connection - of course - I'm on this site.  So it may not be waiting for an internet connection.

I found and run Dell Digital delivery Reset Tool, as suggested in other posts on the forum.  The reset tool ran ok, and he can see in the log file that the 2 pending downloads are first items 10 and Photoshop Elements 10.

I restarted my laptop at least twice since the execution of the tool to reset and confirmed that the DDD service is running.  (Which I suppose is also attested by the update event log every minute.)

So... what he expects?

How can I start the download and installation process please?

DDD version is 2.2.3 if that helps.

I have solved the problem.  Hope this helps someone else.

Stop the service of digital delivery on Windows.

Find the file ClientFulfillmentService.State.settingsin C:\ProgramData\Dell\Digital delivery .

Rename this file to something else (I would do precede OLD... maybe).

Start the service.

After I did, one minute two later, when Dell's digital delivery interface appeared, it showed correctly the first and Photoshop and started immediately to download.

Installed programs.  Problem solved.

    V.2.5 Dell digital delivery does not work. Computer opened today, tried to use DDD to download software that has been purchased but not installed. Keeps giving error message: -"Dell Digital delivery was able to connect to the internet. Please make sure that you are connected and try again. " -even if I AM connected to the internet.

    Dell technical support could not fix the problem

    Version of DDD provided by Dell Online associated with your laptop service tag was wrong version (2.1).  Searched a later version (2.2 x) with NO filter service tag, just by pulling the top of all available drivers and software for portable model & OS. A later version of DDD using worked.

    Re: Office activation - completely uninstalled, but had to run MS software 'fix it' to clean settings pre-installed or residual or files (not sure he cleaned) and then reinstall Office 2013 once again, then he was able to activate. suspect that since it would not activate after initial installation, that something came pre-installed on HD that prevented activation.

  • Reference Dell digital delivery not installed and cannot download support

    I'm trying to get the software that I bought with my new downloaded Dell (Adobe Photoshop elements).

    It was not installed on my PC at delivery, and I contacted the support. They notify installation Dell's digital delivery to get it, but when I go to the support site and enter my serial number as advised, Dell's digital delivery does not appear as an option. Help! I need digital delivery of Dell to download my software, but I can't download or access the software Dell digital delivery real itself! Able to help write and suggested that I use a telephone support, just tried to call them to find their Saturday and Sunday closing (really!?)

    Any ideas or suggestions on how I can install Dell digital delivery?

  • Dell's digital delivery, Adobe XI Std and serial number

    We ordered a lot of new Optiplex 3010 for business.  We also clarified Adobe Acrobat XI which only comes through via digital distribution Dell now.  If we do not get a disk or card serial number more.

    We have implemented a computer model exactly how we like it.  You know, through all the guests of nag, import a script to customize the application pinned to the taskbar, accept the license agreements for first time, make sure that all of the software that we need are installed and configured.  Then after that, remove us it from the field again, and so that a local administrator through us everything one last time to make sure things are custom the way we want to.  We then take an image using Acronis (initialization of network).  Then we go back and run the sysprep utility Windows 7 that points to an XML with things like profile copy = true and other.

    After that it stops us the image once again we have an image after.  Now we only use Acronis and put this image on all of our Dell Optiplex 3010.  When his kick the only thing he asks is the name of the computer, and then once his punt join our field.  Pre-deployment appwiz.cpl, run us down to Microsoft Office 2010 and press 'Edit' and choose to enter a product key, and then we enter the product key from the computer it replaces.

    Now, today I received an e-mail from a person with one of these new computers with a screen from Adobe Acrobat XI (which remember is via distribution digital Dell and we don't have more maps in the series or installation media).

    It indicates the serial number 1016xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is already in use by the maximum number of computers.  You must disable another computer within 25 days of using this product. Then there are two options:

    • Retry the activation. I already turned off one of my other computers.
    • Provide a different serial number.

    Well, since Dell has not distributed the Adobe key cards, where I'd get a different serial number from?  I imagine that the figure was used in the original image.  However the Dell digital delivery check the service tag that the PC is allowed for Adobe and it should have taken care of this.  So what do I do here?  In the future if we do not choose this method and instead go through another retailer for Adobe Acrobat Standard XI, then we have a CD and key card for each computer that we deploy, although its much more expensive... spoke vs $150 $50 add it for her when customizing your Dell computer.

    So thank you for any input.  I know that this could be a problem of Dell (while I posted there also), however it was installed via digital distribution of Dell and Dell did not send the keys.

    We legitimately paid for it.  In the round previous to the Optiplex 3010 when we could order Acrobat X standard, we had a key card.  After sysprep I would run a script (AAMEE was installed in the default image) to change the serial number via the command line.  But now Acrobat XI is different and I don't know what to do.  Dell is not still give us an option for Adobe X more, otherwise I would have just used this version which worked well.

    Sorry, I can't help. But it seems that you should go with a dealer that would offer you a volume license which would have been much less a hassel. You may contact Dell and return Acrobat you bought and go with a volume license.

  • Cannot re - download any digital delivery...

    One of my users has a XPS13 out of warranty running Windows 8.1. He made a mistake and downloaded the demo of Adobe Acrobat DC.  He uninstalled Acrobat 11 software that we shipped with the computer.

    No problem, don't tell me.  Uninstall DC and use Digital delivery for re - download at 11.  Hah!

    There is no shortcut Dell digital delivery anywhere.  There is a folder in Program Files (x 86), but none of the executables no matter what.  The service runs.

    So in programs and features, I try "repair".  He wants the CD. OK, I find where to download the digital distribution of Dell on Dell's web site. Repair does not accept the MSI as a source of repair.

    Then I run the MSI file and it tells me "account already exists" and closes. So I uninstall DDD of programs and features.  Now I run the MSI of DDD and he told me that a newer version is already installed and should be uninstalled everything first.

    AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!

  • Trouble with the options for a mix of physical and digital delivery products

    I cannot remove the seams to get downs delivery option works correctly in the shopping cart for the mixture of products. I have all the products separated into two catalogues, one for a digital physics. If I add a physical product to cart the show options shipping and I can load shipping rates. If I add a digital product to the shopping cart shipping options display correctly for the two elements. that is free of charge on digital, but retains the physical costs.

    But in a clear cart, if I add a digital product, first of all I have no delivery. What is correct. But as soon as I add a physical product to the basket there too no shipping cost.

    Someone help because this can be a show-stopper for my client.

    PS I do not use "exclude catalogues of shipping options" because of what I've read this feature does not work. BC will never get fixed.

    There is a bug on this subject, there is always and years ago in being not fixed. BC know about it and there is a bug tracking number for this. I don't know when it will be fixed.

    I was not able to complete the full implementation of the solution Dell Direct USB key due to various problems.  .    Dell ended up sending me a new Windows 7 HARD disk image.   I have now the laptop up and running again with Windows 7 and have various applications installed.   That's all pretty well.  But now how do I get my data files restored?   Basically, I want to connect the external drive to backup and complete step 19 of the solution, as described below.

    
    Here are the steps OS using the Dell USB key: 
    
    1. Boot from the Direct USB Key by tapping F12 at the Dell logo, then select the
    USB Memory Key option from the boot device menu. 
    
    2. Accept the Dell End User License Agreement (EULA) by clicking the box next to
    Accept, scroll down till the end of the license agreement and then click on
    continue. 
    
    3. On this screen, the usb key gives an overview of the process it is about to
    perform, click continue when ready to proceed. 
    
    4. The Smart Repair solution runs a surface scan on the system to identify any
    errors with the boot record or the startup files. If any errors are found, they
    are automatically corrected. 
    
    5. Once the process completes, there will be an analysis summary, in this case,
    there is no issue found by the smart repair, click continue. 
    
    6. In this window the user can select what data they would like to back up, they
    can either go with the default backup solution or they can click select more to
    select more files for backup, click continue after selecting files for backup. 
    
    7. If user clicks on select more, they will get the screen below, they can go
    ahead and select the necessary data for backup by checking the box next to the
    respective folder, sub-directories are selected by default once the root folder
    is selected. 
    
    8. The user will be prompted to attach a USB hard drive to the system, user
    needs to connect the USB Hard drive at this point and click continue. 
    
    9. Once the solution detects the USB hard drive , it goes ahead with file
    backup. 
    
    10. Once the files are backed up, the solution will back up the user personal
    settings. 
    
    11. The Direct USB Key displays a summary of the data and personal settings
    backup. Click continue. 
    
    12. The Direct USB key then proceeds to install the operating system image on
    the system. 
    
    13. Once the operating system image is transferred, the drivers are also
    transferred. 
    
    14. After the operating system image and driver transfer, a summary page comes
    up giving the user information as to what process was performed successfully and
    what failed. The user needs to remove the USB key at this point and click
    restart. 
    
    15. The system restarts and comes to a flash screen on recovery and restore. 
    
    16. After the flash screen, the applications start installing. 
    
    17. Once the applications are installed, the user would see a summary screen
    informing them that the Operating system has been restored, connect the Direct
    USB Key and click restart. 
    
    18. After the restart the user will be prompted to connect the data backup hard
    drive and then click continue. 
    
    19. The files and personal settings are then restored from the USB backup drive. 
    
    20. After the files are transferred the system comes to the desktop with a pop
    up window informing the user to check the device manager for any exclamation
    marks, the tool also guides the user to download the drivers from the support
    site and the applications from My Dell Downloads and Dell Digital Delivery. User
    needs to select the check box to prevent the message from being displayed again
    and click close.

    The Windows Migration utility (MigRestore) was obtained from Dell, decompressed and Support execution of data taken with the backup restore.

  • 6310 office all --one installs: Visual C++ run error

    Hi all:

    I just bought a new computer (Dell XPS 720), with Professional Windows 64 - Bit SP1, and I get an error when trying to install the OfficeJet 6310 All in one software (drivers and software for scanning, etc...).

    On the HP site, I found the OfficeJet 6310 all in one software, selected Windows 64-bit version and downloaded.

    When I try to install, I get:

    Things I've tried so far:

    1 remove all the Appdata\local\temp installation folder

    2. in the setup.exe from the installation in App\data\local\temp folder, right click on the exe files and select "Run as Administrator"

    3 made a full chkdsk on C:\ (control of start time). No errors where found.

    4 downloaded the tool HP Assistant, let it detect the 6310 printer (who does) and let it download the software... same error in installation.

    Am I missing an older Visual C++ library? Or .net Framework?

    I understand that your HP Officejet 6310 will not install because of a Visual C++ error at time of launch, and I am happy to help you with this installation problem!

    These are certainly good measures to try, after some research, I found this post, Re: Error message Microsoft visual c ++ runtime library, by my colleague @SuperMario1. In my view, will further help the situation.

  • FastAccess facial recognition software uninstall

    I recently bought an Inspiron 17 "/Win8 which came with FastAccess facial recognition software installed.

    FastAccess turned ON the camera (and directed) and does not allow me to monitor turned or fine tune when he was allowed to start using the camera (and the resources of the system). So after a few emails with the support of the SensibleVision and find the version the most recent was faster and better recommended - they wanted an upsell - I uninstalled it through Control Panel. It is that fast - easier to type a password only to have to smile at the camera and wait.

    However, still there seems to be a few pieces of it around that I never tracked.

    Now this morning, all of a sudden FastAccess appears and wants to be trained on my face again. It seems that Dell digital delivery has downloaded again. I go to the digital distribution of Dell and it does not remove FastAccess and some other selling points. So I uninstalled Dell digital delivery as well.

    In any other place, something that is to settle and be boring is called a virus.

    Did I miss anything else I want to uninstall it to get rid of this "viral" software

    It's horrible.  I never regret buying a Dell!  It worked for a while, but now my digital delivery has yet once installed FastAccess on my computer.  I really hate this software on my computer and I think I'll never by another Dell product and never any "Sensitive Vision" software!  Please, please, please someone help me find a way to remove this program permanently so I mustn't shake the roof!

  • Where to download Alienware FX/Command center?

    I don't see this in the downloads available for my Alien Aurora R4.  In the applications on the drivers and downloads section, it lists only the update of Dell and Dell Digital delivery.  No other downloads are for the Alienware software.

    Download/save the Aurora-R4 Windows 7/8.1 authorized command center on your Windows desktop. Right click on the saved file, click on the Compatibility tab, choose the compatibility mode, then run it.

  • Failed to install Adobe Acrobat Standard XI on the computer Windows 10 - missed installation error message

    I recently updated my computer's hard drive and performed a clean installation on Windows 10 Home on my system.  I'm trying to reinstall my copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard XI (11.0.07).  However, installation is almost complete, and then the installation starts a restoration process and ends with "Installation interrupted".

    At first, I tried to install the Adobe software via download Dell digital delivery, as the software was purchased about a year with the computer.   That option has failed, so I dared to Adobe's Web site and downloaded the Acrobat XI installation files myself and extracts.  Failed to install with this option.  I tried to run setup.exe as administrator and in compatibility with Windows 7.  Installation failed with the same error.  My first conclusion was perhaps the installation of Adobe file has been corrupted or the extraction process has worked correctly.  So, today, I downloaded the Adobe installation once more and extract the files.  Same results.

    I even tried to use the troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows installation, this doesn't work anymore.

    I also disabled my antivirus software and tried to run the installer with the antivirus disabled, and even once, it did not work.

    The Adobe Acrobat installed through the installation process gets down to the last part where he goes to the copy of the new files, and then patch the files, and then at the very last minute, it turns into restoration and finally displays and error indicating that the installer interrupted.

    Currently I'm under 10 Home Windows, 64 - bit and MS Office 2016.

  • Constant error - "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working"

    Recently, we purchased a new high-end Dell Precision Workstation from Dell and bought Adobe Acrobat Standard DC with him (Dell).

    At the reception of the computer, whenever we try to open a PDF file, or do anything related to a PDF file, we will randomly get a dialog box of Windows indicating "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working".

    I've attached a screenshot of this error.

    PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ERROR INDICATES 'ACROBAT READER DC', BUT WE HAVE NOT INSTALLED CD PLAYER - ONLY ACROBAT STANDARD DC

    Specifically, it can be almost ANY Acrobat associated action that triggers this error, including:

    • Opening Acrobat Standard DC
    • In Windows Explorer, when you browse a folder containing PDF files in it, and when clicked (to highlight) a PDF icon on screen
    • Doubleclicking on a PDF from Windows Explorer.
    • Saving as a PDF, or print a document to a PDF file.

    I searched this error online widely and tried all the 'solutions' that I read. This is a COMMON problem, and it shows messages from the forum that Adobe does not have the problem, or is not a way to fix the problem.

    I tried a recommendation - that happened to Adobe's Forum Moderator, to uninstall the program, then run

    AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015.zip, which apparently removes any vestige of the previous installation.

    After uninstalling, cleaning, then with the software, then reinstalling the original version that we bought (which, according to the configuration of the sysinfo file is Version 15.6.30033.133277) - ORDER of the ERROR, AND IT has WORKED FINE for 3 DAYS. Prior to this relocation, it would crash with this error about 1 times per minute (sometimes more or less frequently), but constantly, so when we arrived 3 days not a mistake, I assumed that this problem has been corrected.

    Then, on 18/08/15, the errors started. I checked the Windows Update since Adobe has updated the entire program and there is no option to "Uninstall" the update (apparently either Adobe which is off, or if they replace the entire program, you cannot uninstall the update). The Version on this 'update' code was 15.006.30060. I confirmed that the program had be reinstalled via Windows Update automatically, and the date of installation of program in Control Panel was in fact 18/08/15.

    So, I repeated this process, uninstall the program, the race of vacuuming, reboot, connecting the Adobe ID account, then by reinstalling the ORIGINAL version, we bought Dell "Dell digital delivery" process - to reinstall our original version - which had already solved the problem for a couple of days.

    THIS TIME, IMMEDIATELY AFTER you HAVE REINSTALLED, I TURN OFF ADOBE UPDATER, thinking that it would disable future updates.

    Overnight, we came into work and saw that the program was no longer updated automatically once himself again, despite the fact that the update from Adobe was extinguished, it again, updated in any case!

    Of course, since it was updated, the constant errors started again, just like before!


    I could repeat this process continuously, but its a lot of your time for our IT Department to keep mounting, and the error reappears just apparently every time that Adobe did an update. And speaking of which, why can't NOT UNINSTALL a "Adobe Acrobat Standard DC update" when you uninstall other issues updates to Windows for example?

    My PC is Windows 7 Service Pack 1. It is 64-bit.

    At this point, our options are either to get the problem fixed, or discontinue use and uninstall the program - we really need because that person publishes our CAD designs out in PDF format for documents control.

    This PC is a new precision workstations Dell - straight out of the box and is running Windows 7 64-bit with Service Pack 1

    PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS PROBLEM! I spent several hours EACH day for a week, try to solve it, but based on the number of complaints about what I found online it seems to be a problem purely of Adobe, and replacing "Refresh" the DIFFICULTY ISN'T THE PROBLEM if it's what it was intended to do.

    Thanks for the help. However, we have solved the problem. We have added very early in the directory that you are proposing, but it did not help.

    One of the Tech Support guys Adobe we finally talked to suggested disabling the "Preview Pane" feature in Windows Explorer and it immediately solved the problem. Since then, we have had no problems.

    This is only a workaround, however, as the preview pane was invented for a reason - to visually identify files based on the forecast of nail. We work with many, many files of CAD data, and this preview function allows to visually identify a file based on the image much faster than having to read the file name - which in our case is long and technical, CAD Solidworks file names.

    Thus, we have so much need for Adobe to fix this feature so that Windows Explorer can display a preview of PDF files. Its a shame to have to put out in the world, just because of a problem with a single application (Adobe Acrobat DC!)
