The network port is the port on the laptop (it is not that large - look around) that looks like a large phone connection.

You have a router/network to connect to and a cable network to connect with?

Look at the 'Network option' part of the poster:

    Hello

1 have had any changes made on the computer before the show?

    2. do you get an error message? If Yes, what is the full and exact error message?

    Method 1:

See the article and check if that helps:

    To establish an Internet connection

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/howto_i_client.mspx?mfr=true

    Method 2:

Try to run Microsoft Safety Scanner for any malware or spyware infection and check if it helps.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

It works with XP and even load Excel 2010.  I can't find what I need to change in win 7.  I guess that's the firewall or driver settings.  I completely disabled the firewall and still no luck.  I also took the file to connect to the XP machine and tried to use it as an existing connection and still have the error.  I ran Excel on the Win 7 XP SP2, XP SP3 and still no luck.  I have spent hours reading and researching the issue and can not find an answer.
I tried to change the OLAP service account and open all ports on the server.  Still nothing.  The error message will connect to the client computer and the server does not record demand, so I think that I don't yet get on the server.  I do not understand as well as if the message is actively refusing connection.
I can run the cubes very well on the server and on the XP SP3 with Excel 2010 machine.
I'm in my troubleshooting garnis.  There has been some problems, that I have not been able to solve in Microsoft Servers and this is one.  I know that there is an answer.  I'm just not see it.
    Thank you!!

  • Printer on Windows 7 PC, unable to connect with the laptop with Vista

I have a Lexmark 2600 Series printer on a Windows 7 32-bit computer.  I am not able to connect to the printer with Vista laptop for my wife.  I can share files and see the printer.  I try to connect and I get "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Impossible operation completed (error 0x000003eb). "I tried to install locally and change the path without success.  Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Zyfot,

First of all, I would say that you add the printer on the vista computer and check.

    1. open Printers by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, hardware and soundand then click Printers.
    2. click on Add a printer.
    3. in the Add Printer Wizard, select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.
    4. in the list of available printers, select the one you want to use, and then click Next. If your computer is connected to a network, only printers listed in Active Directory for your domain are displayed in the list.
    5. If prompted, install the printer driver on your computer. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    6. follow the steps in the wizard and then click Finish.

Install a printer on a home network

Also, make sure that the print spooler service is running on the windows vista computer.

A print spooler is the service that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print.
You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

    1. open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type Administrative Tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
    2. double-click on Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. right click on the print spooler service, and then click Properties.
    4. under the tab general , next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
    5. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Startand then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    I hope this helps!

  • Dell inspiron 15R n5010 no sound, Windows 10

I have dell 15R (N5010) and have problems with the audio drivers. When I upgrade to Windows 10 my audio drivers not working and have no sound. I spoke with the community of Microsof, he send to dell... It's a rly funny because dell allow users of portable computers more former because they have no benefits for this. The warranty is over so bye :) Can someone help me?

Attention to anyone reading this thread:

Make sure you know the name of your template before you install a driver!

The topic of this thread is "Dell inspiron 15R n5010 no sound, Windows 10. The problem is that there is no model with this exact name. There is an Inspiron N5010 from 15and an Inspiron 15R N5110.

They are different models and different drivers. In other words, the audio driver for the N5010 is not intended for the N5110 and vice versa.

To complicate matters, someone named aimeehuang posted in this thread and put in a link named "dell 15r n5010 drivers download. But if you click on the link it goes to a page for Inspiron 15R N5110.

The person named 'aimeehuang' is not used on this discussion forum and probably got confused model names.

Check the name of your model. If you have an Inspiron 15 N5010, use driver IDT audio R280657. It is intended for Win7, so install in Win10 using compatibility mode (instructions below).

If you have an Inspiron 15R N5110, use the IDT 6.10.0.6421 audio driver. It is intended for Windows 8. He could install without problems in Win10, but if there is a problem, install it using compatibility mode (instructions below).

    1. download and save the audio driver on your computer or to any location on the hard drive...
    2. double-click on the new folder to extract (unzip) the files of the driver.
    3. the wizard of the extractor will create a new folder for the driver files. It will be located at the "c:\dell\drivers\xxxxxx". Note the exact location that the wizard creates.
    4. If the driver begins to install automatically, stop (cancel) installation.
    5. search for the driver files on the hard drive (the location you noted).
    6. find the file "setup.exe".
    7. right click on setup.exe to open the context menu.
    8. Select Properties.
    9. Select the Compatibility tab.
    10. check the box "run this program in compatibility mode for"... Win7 (or Win8 if you install the Win8 to the N5110 driver).

  • turn off the headphone jack on the dell inspiron 15r is 7520 8 windows

    Hello

My helmet came loose inside the headphone jack on my laptop, and I can't get out...

Now, I expected to find a way to disable the headphone jack, so that I could still play sound through the built-in speakers, but I don't know how to do this.

Could someone give me a guide on how to do this please? Preferably a software solution.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15r is 7520 with windows 8

    Thank you!

    Hi Thibaultdj,

It seems that we have already tried all possible troubleshooting steps, you can try to get the plug removed with professional help.

In case the above don't work for you, you may need to replace the motherboard as the headphone is integrated on the motherboard.

  • Dell Inspiron 2650 display scrambled until the computer "warms up".

    Hello.

I own a Dell Inspiron 2650 that just ran out of international warranty on Aug 3 months :-(. The laptop is about 5 years old. One morning I turned it on, and there were lines everywhere in the monitor. The lines kept 'dance' and the computer became unusable at this time. I turned off the coast and I replaced the RAM of the computer (at first, I suspected that RAM memory may be faulty, since I had a desktop computer that have had similar problems and it was solved by replacing the RAM; and in the laptop, some video memory is shared with the RAM).

Change the RAM has NOT fixed the problem. I tried all possible combinations: 2 different types of RAM that I had to hang out, different RAM slots (the Dell Inspiron 2650 has 2 slots), everything. Nothing has worked.

I then waited patiently for the episode to repeat itself, and when it did, I plugged an external CRT monitor. The image in the external monitor looked the same - so it wasn't a monitor problem - he had to be the motherboard or graphics card related. Another thing that might be interesting, is at the same time, I had a few MP3 stopped playing music on the computer, and when the music was the problem, so it doesn't seem to be just an innocent only display problem.

I disassembled the laptop and pulled out the NVIDIA Geforce2 Go video card and put back on the motherboard, made sure all the screws holding the video card to the motherboard are tight and made sure the strip of the screen to the video card is connected properly. I made sure that the keyboard is properly connected to the motherboard, and nothing seems to fragile or irrelevant.

But the problem happened again. And here's the clincher: if I just put the computer for 15 minutes and let it "warm up", then I reboot, it seems to work fine after that. In fact, he needs to warm up. Which would also govern the video card? I've seen computers that crashed when the video card EU hot, not unless HE had hot...

So for now I just do this little dance every morning: I turn on the computer for about 15 minutes, restart and do my thing with her. But I would love to get it fixed.

If you have assumptions or certainties about why this can happen, please let me know how to fix it.

    Thanks for reading!
