Dell Inspiron 3000

I have a Dell Dimension E520 with Vista.

I am considering buying a Dell Inspiron 3000.  It is affordable.  I take a lot of pictures (amateur) and a lot of editing.  That's mainly what I use the computer for.  No one knows about it and even if it's not top of the line do you think it would be enough for what I do?  I have very little music.

Thank you

I beg of you! do not hesitate to buy it! ;)

Hi, I think currently buying a dell inspiron 3000 small but I wanted to increase the RAM and put it in a graphics card. I was wondering if this could void the warranty. In addition, is install graphics even possible, I need to upgrade the power supply if I do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi DatGuyWhoIDK,

You have two options with this model. For built-in you would receive Intel 4400/4600 as graphics. If you want to go for discreet graphics you would receive NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 625 or
NVIDIA GeForce GT 635 according to your choice. You can upgrade the RAM up to 8 GB. It will not void your warranty if you install the graphics card. For power supply by default power supply provided with the above mentioned system cards should be compatible.

  • Can I upgrade my Dell Inspiron 3000 SFF desktop computer to install my TV Tuner, Pinnacle card?

I have a previous Pinnacle PCTV digital TV (model #8230 Pinnacle TVC Pro4 SD) tuner card I bought Oct 2008 Best Buy for $88 for my desktop so that Windows XP-which has since died. I want to install in my desktop Dell Inspiron 3000 Form Factor bought February 2015, which has Windows 7 with Windows Media Center, so I can watch TV on my computer screen all working. It did not come with a TV tuner. Is it possible to install a TV tuner in this computer?  I searched the site Web of Dell to nothing does not.

Not that the tuner is obsolete and the small footprint is really tiny and lacks housing for it. A 7-year-old tuner may not work on windows 7 in any case. It does work on Windows 8 in all. All the tv is now digital.

TV tuners are becoming less popular, given that some cable companies have introduced all the channels that you subscribe online. My Time Warner service has all my subscribed channels available online, including local stations and HBO and Showtime. Check with your cable provider to see what is available for you online - a much better picture and easy to use.

  • Dell Inspiron 3000 11 screen rotation

    Hello

I bought my computer dell laptop on site (Malaysia), and after a few months using the touchpad seems to not work. Called to them and they sent a technician to fix it on the spot, only to see giving it 2 parts that were not related to the problem (motherboard & keyboard), which has been replaced mine with a new one anyway.

But such has not set the touchpad (in his defense, he said 'they' gave him the parts and he has no idea why), he said he will return to me on the touchpad and meet another day to replace the correct part.

Now I'm not the complaint of writing on the touchpad, but the rotation of the screen. After temporary "fix" it seems every time I tilt my screen sideways or backwards, screen turns as usual. It is, he turns to the original orientation when I tilt it. The technician has no idea how or why he did this and cannot correct this back to normal.

Finally after leaving, did some retouching autour and found 3 methods that worked:

    1. press ctrl + alt + up arrow

    2. change the orientation settings in the Intel HD graphics properties

    3. it's a little weird, I had to open up to the laptop screen so his flat with the keyboard, THEN only the screen rotation works as usual if I cant post any thing.

But these methods did not fix the problem of orientation, its more of a temporary solution, because it will not bow to the original in "portable" mode position

    any help?

go to control panel, display, change the display settings. You will find the control defines the landscape vs. landscape (flipped). change and uncheck the allow screen auto rotation

  • Stylus for Dell Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1

I recently acquired a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1.  It has a touch screen and I really appreciate using it.  I wanted to start taking handwritten notes on this laptop using a pen to write like a pen.  So far, I only found a stylus with a broad and flexible rubber tip that will respond to the touch screen.  This isn't satisfying to try to write as you would if you use a pen and paper.  Of course, my finger also works well, but is not very accurate as well.  I was hoping someone on these forums could recommend a stylus that is suitable for use with this product that would allow me to write like a pen.

I've tried addressing Dell agents by phone and chat online, and it was suggested to use an active stylus for Dell.  I bought this product and it did not work.  I plan to return this product of course.

Anyone out there have a recommendation for a stylus pen-like that I can use with my Dell Inspiron 3000 2-in-1?  It doesn't matter if it's a Dell or one product other than Dell.

    Thanks in advance.

a regular rubber nub stylus will work on the dell 3000 11. There is no material inside the laptop that will make any active pen works. and for a reason, even the node stylus does not work always, but do most of the time.

  • I have a Dell Inspiron and its ubuntu operating system is there a way to change it to windows xp

I have a dell inspiron operated by ubuntu is possible to change it to windows xp

    Hello

I'm assuming that Ubuntu is the only OS installed on the computer, and you have a XP install disc.

The hard disk must be erased all traces of the file system,

Download and burn to cd Darik Boot and Nuke. Start and wipe the drive hard when you are finished it will appear for XP like a new hard drive.

  • Dell Inspiron does not go in GRUB after the stop of Kubuntu

I bought a new Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (Ubuntu) laptop and installed Kubuntu 15.10. No dual-boot. Kubuntu only.

Everything seems to work... with one exception: after closing down (or restarting) of KDE/Kubuntu, laptop computer does not successfully start only once.

When I shut down the system, everything seems ok. Then when you press the power button, I see the Dell logo for a short period of time (as a kind of progress downstairs bar) as usual. Then the screen flashes in different shades of black, nothing more. No GRUB menu. In this pressing situation ++ restart the laptop and GRUB is reached and everything works fine. Following restarts (without having to boot into Kubuntu) works also without problem. However as soon as I have boot into Kubuntu and start/stop from there to the next single boot of the laptop will fail.

Any idea what the problem might be?

  • Can I upgrade the CPU in my Dell Inspiron 2330?

I was wondering if I could spend the CPU in the Dell Inspiron 2330. I like the computer. However, I was wondering if I could switch the CPU to one with HD 3000 or 4000 HD graphics.

I have the model i5 with 8 GB of ram and a 1 TB hard drive.

This video gave me the idea:

    Hi junior796,

You can switch to Intel Core i7 - 3770S processor (8 M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz) which comes with the Intel HD Graphics 4000 on Inspiron 2330.

  • MaxxAudio Pro disabled after upgrading my Inspiron 3000 for windows 10

I'm trying to figure out what to do.  Can I go back to any previous driver? How?  Is a new driver available that works?  I tried updating the driver and it did not help. I noticed that a few other people have had similar problems.  How can I get Dell to respond?

Hello. Early adopters of Win10 are a bunch of audio problems. I think that Dell is sitting out and waiting for Microsoft and makers of audio chips - vendors - to recover.

Microsoft for Win10 suggestions are to try these things:

    1. open start, enter Device Manager [in the search box type Device Manager] and select it in the list of results. Select your sound card under sound, video and game controllers, and right-click on it to open the context menu. Select the driver tab, and then select set to update driver.

    2. If Windows can't find a new driver, search for one on the device manufacturer's Web site and follow their instructions.

    3. If you can update via the Device Manager or find a new driver on the manufacturer's website, try to uninstall your sound driver opening device, right click (or tapping and operation) audio driver manager and selecting Uninstall. Restart your device and Windows will try to reinstall the driver. [When you perform this procedure, do NOT check the box that says "remove the driver for this device."]

    4. If does not work reinstall the driver, and then try to use the audio generic driver supplied with Windows. Here's how: in the device, right click on your audio driver manager > update driver software... > Browse my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer, select the Audio high definition device, click Next and follow the remaining instructions to install it.

    5. still need help? Contact a technician for the response from Microsoft.

    ====================================================================

If you need help to find more pilot please answer back with the name of full model of your laptop. You said it's an Inspiron 3000 but this model would be almost 15 years now and wouldn't stand for WavesMaxx. You can see a list of all Inspiron here. Your complete model name must be in the list.

  • Display problem with Dell Inspiron N5110

    Hello! I'm new!

This problem became very very very annoying.

My laptop goes to a smaller resolution (1366 x 768, 800 x 600, approximately) 3 seconds, then returns to the normal (1366 x 768) and made a sound like theres a connection usb and desconnecting, the problem is I know not when, it can change every 10 minutes, every half-hour, at any time at every moment the strange thing is that it can spend days not to change but then it suddenly starts to, it can do so only once or several times, here is a video showing:

    cs_setInnerHtml ('video_ab07b5c3-8224-42ba-9a2e-da700221ecb3', ");

    We see from 0:20

My laptop has two graphics cards (graphics Intel 3000 and a Nvidia Gt525m) could almost say that the problem is the graphics card Intel because when I disable it stops happening.

    I tried the following:

-Uninstall two graphics cards (Intel and Nvidia) and install them again

-Install the latest driver for Intel Graphics 3000
-Uninstall the driver from Device Manager section - view maps and installing it automatically when the computer mobile restars, after it becomes intstalled (it installs a driver something like "standrad vga adapter"), then I reinstall the driver of intel, but the problem persists.

-System Restore does not work, I do not have a restore point.

I used the drivers from the sites official dell intel, nvidia, I used my drivers dvd drive too.

I thought that maybe some programs, could make the problem, but I don't see what program might be, here's my installed programs:

Another thing, I formatted my computer laptop about 1 month ago and a half, after formatting, this began to happen after the rare thing that it started happening suddenly.

This became very annoying, when im trying to play more often.

    Maybe a hardware problem?

    I wouldn't format. I'd appreciate any help.

If youre telling me that I need to uninstall driver intel restarts my laptop for windows queue install vga driver then go to download the dell Web site and install the nvidia driver?

Fix. Until you do this, uninstall the driver nVidia from programs and features in Control Panel, restart the computer, THEN Device Manager, expand the drop-down list Display Adapter, right click on the listed adapter and select uninstall. When the warning about removing it, allow the uninstall. Then restart your computer (it will be required and you are prompted for) when windows starts, it will install the generic VGA driver and then navigate to the Dell site support and download your driver nVidia for your model. • Dell inspiron 15R 5520 Graphics

I have a dell inspiron 15r 5520 and I'm trying to find a dedicated graphics card, which is less than $ 100

Can someone give me a list?

    Hi D_Man311,

The Inspiron 15R/5520 is available with the option integrated graph and discreet following:

Model Integrated graphics card Dedicated graphics processor
    Inspiron 5520
    • Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 1 GB of video memory for Sandy Bridge processors.
    • Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 1 GB of video memory for the Ivy Bridge processors.
AMD Radeon HD 7670 M with 1 GB video memory

This option is selected at time of purchase of the system.

Graphics on laptops are integrated on the motherboard of a computer and where you plan to update the graphics card, you may need to replace components such as the motherboard, AC adapter / CC and heat sink. Although the AMD Radeon is considered to be a discrete on this system option, they are soldered to the system board and cannot be replaced separately.

    Answer please for more details.
