Dell Inspiron 3043 All in One-2nd monitor?

My dell is not detect a 2nd monitor when I connect it to my Acer monitor.  I tried to use the VGA cable with a HDMI adapter.  I also tried to use a DVI cable to HDMI.  The Acer monitor only has VGA and DVI - D connections?  Is there another way to connect the 2nd monitor?

I have the Dell Inspiron 3043 all in one

You can consider using a USB2 > DVI - D or USB2 > adapter VGA to connect the second monitor, but they are not exactly cheap.

And if you buy one of these adapters, make sure that the one you get can clone (1) internal display, (2) extend the desktop on 2 screens and (3) show 2 different screens simultaneously and is compatible with any version of Windows that you are using.

  • Dell XPS 2710 all-in-One will not start, the totally blank screen

Hello. This is my first post on the forums and I hope someone can help me.

The Dell XPS 2710 all-in-one I bought for my 10 year old 15 months ago (Yes, that means that the guarantee is expired) will not start. No no post, no beeps, nothing. Just a brief spark of light on the screen, no words, nothing. The machine gets occasional use, and there is nothing to indicate what could have caused the problem. I have not upgraded the BIOS recently, is not as if it was a bad BIOS update, or whatever it is. I tried to hit the F1, F2, F12 keys delete during startup. No results.

The video works. I know because I can connect my laptop to the HDMI-in port and I can see the desktop of my laptop very well. So the question is NOT the video. My son uses this machine for occasional movies and homework in his room. I want to fix the computer, if I can. I am handy with computers and built several machines from the outset in the past.

I believe that the most likely scenario is that the motherboard has went wrong; There are several posts around the internet about motherboards 2710 AIO being unreliable. I saw an ad on the forums of Dell from a guy who said Dell Tech Support replaced its motherboard 2710 five times. I see that some of these motherboards are selling on eBay for around $200. I'm toying with the idea of getting a. I watched the service manual for the 2710 and I'm pretty confident that I could replace the Board of Directors.

Someone had experience with permutation on their motherboard on a 2710 AIO? Or someone has any ideas on what could be the problem with my son's computer? I appreciate all the advice/help anyone could offer.

OK, I have removed all the RAM from the motherboard (there were two sticks) and unplug the connector on the SATA hard drive. Then I turned on the machine and got two beeps very strong, but still no video on the screen indicating any form of activity of the POST. The sound signals have been first sounds I've ever heard during the procedure of boot on this machine. I put the RAM back in and re-connected the SATA cable. The way he has been, no video, no post, no beeps. I'm a bit at a loss for what I've decided, this means that the motherboard works technically and that another device on the machine is at the origin of the problem? Have I reason to assume that if I hear two beeps, then I should have the certainty that the motherboard was bad? Given that this a sound signal, the solution becomes cloudy, I guess. I can't help but feel that somehow the BIOS on the computer is damaged. Don't quite know how that could happen, however, because I have not updated the BIOS in over a year. I don't remember what BIOS version I have, but he had been working well for a year with no problems. Thanks for any other help/suggestions you can provide.

    Hey @camcord2,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are looking for information on the connection of a secondary screen to your CRAVING 23-c110tx all-in-One PC. According to the specifications of the motherboard used in this model there is no video output port. There are third-party companies who manufacture USB adapters that can convert a USB to DVI, HDMI or VGA, but is not something of what HP specializes in the so I can't provide any information other than to let you know that they exist and could be worth looking at.

Hope this helps to put you in the right direction.

Reformatting the hard drive and reinstall windows 7 has done the trick. This really delete all the driver files! With a clean machine, I was able to install the printer without problem in Vista SP2 compatibility mode. Not only so, but the other two Windows 7 PCs on my network domestic also saw the printer and installed it.

It seems that the uninstall utility doesn't work unless you install the drivers correctly. If, as many of us have done, the drivers are installed without using the compatibility mode there are some files that get somewhere the uninstall program cannot reach. I just checked the section of drivers from the support page and can find no reference to installation in compatibility mode, the Council States that it is compatible and install the Vista driver. Always if Dell puts in place all the information, it should would probably be no need for forums like this.

Just a pity that it took a format and reinstallation of the entire system to operate. Live and learn

    see you soon

  • Reference Dell V 313 all-in-One Printer

Recently, our 313 of V Dell all-in-One printer will print only an execution of an order given... the number of pages is irrelevant. Next time when I want to print, the printer icon small appears on the lower lip, the graph bar showing the beginning of printing appears, just at the top, and the printer sounds as if it starts to print, but only a couple of "grants", then a pause, then the printer stops, with the icon and the bar graph disappears from the display.

The only way to get the printer to print the following command is to close all files, the printer and restart the computer. As soon as the computer has been restarted, and the printer turned on, without any other order, the printer starts printing the desired item.

I uninstalled the drivers from Dell and downloaded the drivers from Dell official website of Dell, to see if this action makes a difference. I don't have.

I'd appreciate deeply any suggestions on how I can adjust our PC to eliminate this mysterious hang up. Thank you.

The system Dell printer is not compatible with Internet Explorer 11. Uninstall the present and go back to IE 10 and everything will be resolved. Is not ideal, but I hope that Dell of MS will come up with a better solution.

  • Inspiron 2330 all-in-one, white screen on startup after Dell Logo

    Hello

I just bought an Inspiron One 2330 with Windows 8 this week which was working fine until today.

When I go to it starts, I get the Dell logo and Windows 8 points floating around in a circle below. When these disappear after five or six seconds, as often happens with the boot process, nothing happens. It allows access to the screen of Windows 8 with time and this landscape of space-age thing, but now I get nothing, just a blank screen.

Please could someone help? Everyone knows this?

    Thank you

    Hywel

I thought that I will answer my own post because I have not managed to solve this problem after the effort of several hours.

I managed to enter the automatic repair of Windows by following these steps. After ignition, the Dell logo appears then the swirling circle. Is immediately turned off by pressing the power button until it stops. Repeat 2 times more, how the computer would decide that Windows fails to start, so it should start the auto repair.

The automatic repair feature spotted that there was a problem with the video driver (as I suspected) and disabled. I could then restart normally and use system restore to return to a game without the danger of drivers, before I was running Windows Update.

  • Inspiron 5000 all-in-one question

I just got an Inspiron 5000 23 series (5348) and was shocked to see that the top of the screen has an open space of half inch! I looked at photos online and don't see this 'feature '. This will allow all sorts of dust and dirt to go directly to the computer. What I need to know is this. That's how the system was designed and built intentionally or is this faulty system? I don't see how I can keep this system if that's the way it is supposed to be.

Contact Dell says that this is not normal. If you gently push the bezel all sides, they fit together and stay that way?

Otherwise ask another replacement as soon as POSSIBLE.

Good luck. Hope that they solve this problem quickly.

  • Error cartridge on the Dell 946 printer all in one

I get an error "cartridge #1203" and I can't understand what it is.  I replaced the cartridges, restarted the printer, tried new cartridges, etc... and I don't know what means this error.  any ideas?

Error 1203 is an interesting error code. Here's what I discovered on error 1203

It is average your cartridges of overflow of nine cartridges after a several impressions or all after you filled cartridges. Check to see if the ink are smeared on the holder where the contact panel with the cartridge. I have the same problem which I think lexmark has a problem and forget.

    Solution:
I use the klennex with a few drops of water to moisten and cleanse back them on my printer work and support.
The charging of ink work very well if you let it sit 24 hours. Then before you print anything, you must run aligned the cartridges once or twice then run once or twice cleaning cartridges.
Print the test page to see how it's look and the way you're going.
Be sure to not leave the debris of the klennex on the door panel.

To reset the error code, unplug the power cord to the wall. Also remove the power brick to the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Then connect everything again.

Dell series 5 ink cartridges have a sensor to them that cannot be reset. Article on Dell ink cartridges filling .

Dell series 5 ink cartridges can be purchased at Staples, Wal-Mart or any Dell website.

I don't think that today's computers can auto start after power cuts and even if it is possible, it is not recommended. Buy a battery backup UPS as APC must prevent interruptions of power failure and give yourself the time to shutdown properly.
