Since my laptop has a single input for microphone and headphone jack, and most of the helmets separated inputs microphone and headphones, I really need to know what type of audio from my laptop. How can I know if my laptop has TAKEN or TRS jack socket? I need to know this so I can get 2xTRS to JACK or 2xTRS to the TRS separator?

  Struggling combo assume that a helmet combo (type smart phone) will be used with it.   You can try traditional computer headphones with a splitter, but we have received reports of mixture on dispatchers, with more people saying that they are not only working people who have had success. An alternative to a separator is an input jack usb audio. Those who provide ports separated for the microphone and headphones are cheap on Amazon and elsewhere, and may not be of the best quality. USB plugs have their own ADC and DAC, and thus a separate audio system of the built-in notebook Realtek audio systems.

  I was with my Dell Inspiron 7559 this weekend and suddenly stop the audio of my helmet. I had no problems during the first month I got the laptop and audio still pregnant works very well. When I plug in the headphones the dialog box also don't watch not asking questions on the audio device connected to the port. I know the headset works on my phone, and I tried uninstalling the Realtek audio driver and using the native driver. Nothing seems to work. Someone at - it suggestions? I'm grateful for any help!

  Thanks for posting.

  Have you tried another set of headphones?  The 7559 decision-making is a composite, which means that the headphones and microphones can be inserted into the same taken.  So if your current headphones are not lining up with the plug, so they will not show.

  Some customers have tried a different approach by purchasing one of these dividers, which seem to work pretty well, and they are inexpensive.

• Inspiron 5520 Headphone Jack does not work

  I have a Dell Inspiron 5520 and his works well, except the headphones does not work. I installed the drivers from the dell support site. also tested using the Dell Diagnostics utility, by pressing F12 and selecting from the menu, I don't see the 'custom' option which is indicated in this page (step 4):http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3517/p/19351382/19768710.aspx

  the test turns on and at the end there is a radio button to test the Audio, which plays several tones through the laptop speakers. When I plug in the headphones, I have no sound in the headphones and more tones are played through speakers for computer only. Also I have heard no "instrumental piece of music complete with battery" according to step 2 in the above link.

  Is this a hardware problem? Please guide me further.

  Whenever you connect the headphones to the computer, you should get a notification that the headset is connected. If the sound comes only through the internal speakers, the issue may be with the audio port. I suggest you to connect other headphones or external speakers and check. If the problem persists, hardware may need to be replaced.

• Dell Inspiron 15 is having problems connecting to the internet?

  I had a problem with my Dell Inspiron 15, wireless connection to the internet for some time now. Almost daily, some time ago when I can't connect to the internet, no matter how many times I try to connect, and if I do connect, it remains only connected for a minute or two, and then I'm back to the tent to connect several times. I know it is not my router or my modem, because none of the other computers or devices in my House have the same problem. I'm the only one with these connectivity issues. I reset my router and modem regularly, thinking this may help, but it doesn't. I changed the channel on my router and which has in fact nothing, either.

  Yes, I am now typing this Message from the Inspiron 5537 (i5 4GB 2 GB AMD). My laptop also have the problem with the GPU each games Hang and sometimes with errors when opening. The integrated graphics Drive Error Message poping up showing Intel HD Graphics is missing and the restart of Lap resolving the issue... Can still say about graphic AMD if im trying to install the graphics drive the laptop black full turns and nothing happen (having to reinstall the OS to ride again) anyway just some face this problem...   I recently bought a 5th generation Dell portable computer 5548 with recognition software preinstalled facial quick access. After a month of using the facial recognition software, it took a license purchase. Because I wasn't ready to continue with the service, the software application has been removed (Uninstalled). Earlier this week, I wanted to make a Skype video call only to find out that my webcam was not working with my Skype. I also discovered that I didn't have any webcam software on my PC.   The latest Realtek audio driver for the Inspiron with Windows 10 3542 is this one. Follow the instructions under "Installation Instructions". Let me know if installing it does not solve the issue.

  You can see all the drivers for Dell just introduced for your model in the page html Inspiron 3542. In the column 'Operating system', which are WT is for Windows 10. Those marked with a WB are for Windows 8.1. Those for XP, Vista and Win7 is clearly identified as such.

  There is also the page Inspiron 3542 product supports, which has links to all the same drivers, but if you don't know how to navigate the support pages it can be difficult to find what you are looking for.

  Dell is very stingy to give technical specifications for audio. There is none in the installation Guide for 2520 Vostro.

  There is a document called the "owner's manual" which is actually the maintenance manual, but it has a section "technical data". Here all the information it provides for audio:

  The Jack of the Vostro 2520 headset is intended to plug a TRS that looks like this:

  

  If you are using a type of smart phone to the headset with a JACK plug it may be an incompatibility. A plug from SOCKET looks like this:

  

  All I can say is to try a variety of outlets, including a 2.5 mm plug, if you can. If no adjustment, if you got your Dell Vostro, there is a day 21 return period during which you can send it if it's not good for you, but there is a restocking fee unless the device is defective. (If a standard TRS plug will not make decision-making then I would think it is defective). Or contact the technical support and prosecute on this subject.

  I just realized that I can't plug in headphone on my bike E 2nd Gen when I have a Motorola handle shell on the phone. The shell of the Grip is thicker the provided factory ring outdoor original. And the hole in the plastic is not open enough to allow the jack plug all the way. This is a pretty serious design defect.
