DELL PowerEdge T300 boot CD

Hi, my T300 PE with Windows Server 2003 keep restart when loading Windows, I need to repair operating system , but I lost the CD to boot for my T300.im of PE begging you to give me the link (if able iso link) where I can download it.

Thank you very much!

Let me be more clear... you can NOT repair the BONES with SBUU.  The only thing that will make SBUU is to help you to re - install Windows and it will be, WIPE OUT, all the information on your current disks!

You said Server 2003 won't start - it keeps just reboot to the Windows form.  If you want to solve this problem, you need to boot CD of the 2003 version of the Recovery Console.  Since 2003, cannot communicate with readers without a RAID driver, you will need to load the RAID driver (below) of a disk at F6 during installation of Windows (the first thing you see when you start on the Windows CD).  Since your T300 probably does not have a floppy drive, you will need to use nLiteOS.com to integrate this driver (text mode) in the middle of 2003.

If you don't care about the data on the disks and want to destroy any re - install Windows, then use SBUU, but who does not resemble what you're trying to do.

  • Install.VGZ fails in ESXi 4.1 install on a Dell Poweredge R710

I have a cluster of ESXi 4.1 six-host running on Dell Poweredge R710.  They start from a USB key connected to an internal USB port.  I did at least 12-20 installs on the same hardware without problem.

When I try to re - install on the single ISO ESXi 4.1 host via the iDRAC, the installation fails when loading install.vgz with the error message: "Booting: MBI = 0x000100c0, enter = 0x0040024a.

I studied the two codes and the only suggestion that I get, it's that my hardware is not supported (specifically that my 32-bit processor is not supported).  I do not have a 32-bit processor, so I know that I can surrender.  I downloaded the CPU VMware ISO (file:///C:/Users/pguarco/Downloads/VMware-CPU-Compatibility-e.x.p-160658.zip) compatibility, and my CPU meets all requirements.  Previous installation of ESXi host crashed for unknown reasons, where the re - install.  It is possible, that there is a hardware problem.  Any ideas on how to limit this problem?

you are doing the right thing. only thing I could thing is bad ISO, (Please make sure that the checksum is correct). and the worst case material PE firmware update.

  • Dell PowerEdge 2950 P2V problem

    F: Data3

    G: data4

    vSphere ESXi 4.1 (under license)

    ISCSI SAN

    vCenter Server

I tried on cold hidden server with boot CD, but received the error "unable to determine the operating system invited."  Looks like that I don't have the driver for the Dell raid controller in the boot CD.

I decided to go with the hot P2V using the plug-in for VirtualCenter.  I stop the SQL server service and disabled the firewall disabled the anti-virus tools.  Only two partitions (C and G) on the physical server must be in the new virtual machine.  So, I've selected partitions C and G and has increased the size of the drive at a time.  I made sure not to install the vmware tools and unchecked the option reconfigures.   The P2V conversion was successful.   But when I went to start the virtual machine, it starts with the 'VMWARE' logo and restarts immediately.  Restart the virtual computer so fast I can't even in the BIOS unless I hit the key several times.   I did the clonning with the hidden partition, but with the same problem.   There are no BSOD or any indication that the virtual machine cannot find the vdisks.   Called in vmware support.  They used webex for an hour, but could not fix.  Asked me to send in the logbundle.

I HERE it if someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

Another option is to install the Standalone Converter 3.0.3 on the PowerEdge, stop all services and performing the conversion.

  • Usb device ESXi 4.1.0 through material passtrough on Dell Poweredge R510

    Hello.

I am trying to use one of the four usb ports on a Dell PowerEdge R510 inside an ESXi 4.1.0 260247 host for a XP Prof invited. I have the following PCI devices:

    http://communities.vmware.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/10539/esxi41.jpg

    With each of the devices ID 00:1 a. 0 00: 1 d: 3 comments XP correctly will not start. When I attach the 00:1d.7 device boots comments, but then there is a problem with the device driver. I tried the chipset drivers for W2003 from dell (http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=de & cs = debsdt1 & l = a & s = bsd & releaseid = R269378 & SystemID = PWE_R510 & servicetag = & os = WNET & osl = GE & deviceid = 17195 & devlib = 0 & typecnt = 0 & vercnt = 2 & catid = 1 & impid =-1 & formatcnt = 0 & libid = 27 & typeid =-1 & dateid =-1 & formatid =-1 & source =-1 & 396483 = starts) , but no luck.

I know that there is now a direct usb support in ESXi 4.1, but my usb device is not supported through this new feature.

In addition, I'm looking for a PCI Express RS232 serial card that works on this server equipped with passthrough for a XP guest.

    Thank you

    Michael

Try to ignore this ridiculous list, it's a bad joke for devices on the external bus like SCSI and USB.

I've successfully used the USB feature in 4.1 for a device not on the list (in fact, he was a device of type modem/serial port), more precisely a key entropy of Simtec.

So anyway, try your device with the USB function before mingling with the much more fragile PCI passthrough feature.

  • VMware ESXi 4 on Dell PowerEdge 2950 CDROM missing in virtual machines

    Hi all

I installed VMware 4.0 on my Dell PowerEdge 2950, and everything moved very well. I had the ISO image from the support site on the website of VMware and Dell. I installed both with the same problem, once installed, the CD-ROM will not be displayed in any virtual machine, I create.

I changed the boot parameters, the order of the boot, played with the BIOS settings, and no matter what I do, when I start the virtual machine and open a console window and try to connect on the CDROM, a message displays saying that the device is disconnected.

I have reinstalled Windows on the box, went to the site of support of Dell and applied each update BIOS patch and firmware of the box. Including the one for the TEAC CDROM, which is in my box.

Anyone had this problem before? If so, how should I do? I really need this works quickly. Without a CDROM, I can't install software such as SQL Server and others.

    Kind regards

    Michael Lange

I assume that you have added a CDROm for virtual machines?

You then specify "logged in/connected to the power on" in the settings of VM page? (I know it's usually obvious.. .but I did it very mistaken once this week.. .accidentally added the CDROM to the VM wrong.)

What OS your virtual machine is running and you have the installed VMTools?

If issuing a VMtools install on a windows host, it works, then the Cd drive works as ESX uses the virtual CD Rom to install the tools.
