Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/
Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.
Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
below.
Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.
Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.
===============================
Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
do it right.
Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.
Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.
Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
the parameters.

Dear,
I have a problem with my laptop (dell vostro 1510). For the second time my screen went completely black. I couldn't see anything, but the computer was not working. I assumed it was for the same reason as the first time (burnt video card). I have replace it with it and when I try to start the laptop I just get three led among that flashes on the left. It is not go further and I don't have access to the bios. The diagnostic led codes say it is a problem with the processor. How can I test if the processor work? For me, it's weird with the old motherboard, it began. I also tried to reset the CPU on a different time slot. I don't know what to try anymore.
If you have any suggestions please let me know

IDE hard drive not recognized in bios Vostro 200
My friend gave me his Vostro 200 when she bought a new computer. I took the 130 GB drive HARD from my old computer and installed with a mini vertical bridge Sabrent SBT-SCIDE and a Molex to SATA power adapter. When I booted the computer and check the Bios, it does not appear. I checked the connections, and they agree, then I hung up in the old computer to ensure that it still worked. No problems in the old computer and no errors when I ran the disk check. Re-installed in the Vostro, but still not recognized.
Did I miss something as controllers or orders at the entrance?
For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated... ed
Most of the time these IDE SATA bridges do not work - you may need to try several of them until you find one that does - assuming one will indeed work. The only reliable method to fix an old IDE drive to a new SATA system is to mount the drive in an external USB box.

Hello, I'm trying to update windows after installation and I get error code 80072F8F. After looking for other pages, I checked my BIOS date and time are correct and Windows as well.
Laptop: Dell VOSTRO 1510
Windows 7 x 64 PROI already activated Windows (silly me to check everything actually works) and I need a solution as soon as POSSIBLE.
I needed Windows update to try and fix a number display adapter (card intel not giving not external display resolutions)- but that's another question.
I hope that there is a fix out there somewhere in the ether.

The foregoing notwithstanding, and since you neglected to install an antivirus application...

Do not get audio 5.1 of Dell Vostro 1510
Hello
I recently bought a Creative (Sound Blaster Live 24 bit external) external sound card for my Vostro 1510. I also bought a 5.1 nexw system Creatibve (SBS, A500).
Since I have windows Vista installed on my laptop, I couldn't be able to get the 5.1 output. But now, I searched the external driver 24 bit for Vista and installed.
The device works very well with the vista driver. but I'm not able to appreciate the sound 5.1 full. only 2 satellites and the subwoofer is to get the sound. another satellite 3 will not get sound. That is to say. I can hear only the front left and front right with the effect of the woofer. Back left, back right sattellites and centre do not get the sound.
Is this a problem with vista driver or the sound card itself.
Can someone please help?

Dell Vostro 1510 Audio has stopped working after the update of Windows Vista.
Nice day!
My computer (vostro 1510) began to revolt recently and I wonder if you could help me with this.
Basically, last week I was talking to my friend on Skype when suddenly my computer restarted due to the update of Windows (I have Windows Vista Business 32-bit). After he turned his back, I realized that there is no audio from the speakers. I tried using headphones but still - no sound.
Immediately, I went to the 'Sounds' menu and checked if my speakers were still 'active '. They have been.
Next thing I decided to do was to reinstall the Realtek audio driver, however, did not help or the other. Since then, I tried to reinstall several times but, unfortunately, everything remained the same. Then, I thought that maybe something was wrong with my hardware, however, audio spent ALL Dell diagnostics audio tests (so my hardware is very good, yes?). I also tried "System Restore" option and returned to the point before the update... Nothing has changed!
In addition, as far as I know, all the audio settings in Windows (checked in Registry Editor) are OK.
What should I do now? My last hope is to completely reinstall the system, however, I decided to contact you first.
Thanks in advance!
Solved the problem by reinstalling the operating system.
Thank you!

Newly installed internal Second hard drive not recognized
L1701X XPS laptop (running Win 10). Installed a second 500 GB WD hard drive that is not recognized in the BIOS. I've updated (flashed) BIOS to the A10 and I updated all drivers recommended by Dell Support.
If I remove the new second player and hover over the first (original) hard drive to the second vacant slot it works very well and also appears in the BIOS - so it seems to me that there is no problem with the second player port.
I tried everything I could find on the Net about it, for example, to check the connection of the second disc, but nothing done yet.
Can someone help me with this?
I'm pulling this Post because I don't get all of the possible solutions to my question. Thanks to the two people who have asked questions.

The upgrade of Inspiron 9300 Hard Drive not recognized
I bought an upgrade of my Inspiron 9300 laptop hard drive:
Old hard drive: TG754 Hard Drive, 60G, 9.5 MM, 7.2 K Hitachi, Moraga, unleaded
New hard drive: 250 GB SATA 3 Gb s hard drive 16 MB 7200 RPM 2.5 IN. w o free fall Scorpio black
TG754 Hard drive, 60G, 9.5 MM, Hitachi 7.2 K, Moraga, unleaded I don't know I installed it correct (just slide in and screw it) but my problem is that my laptop does not recognize the new drive. When starting it complains that no hard drive is, and when I boot my Windows XP it also said that no hard drive is located.
I followed the upgrade recommended Dell so I do not know why it does not work. I read that the SATA drives require additional drivers, but I'm sure that my old drive was already a SATA drive, so I don't understand why he is not recognized.
Help, please. Thank you.
The 9300 has been performed in two versions - the vast majority were EIDE. The last execution of production used SATA. Yours is EIDE.
Readers are physically the same size and made the same carrier - but does not connect the SATA version to the motherboard (check the back both discs and you'll see why).
The EIDE version has a limit of 120G BIOS - it means not that you can not use this drive of 160 G, but the results can be unpredictable, sudden loss of all data. Keep backups if you try a 160 - it is much safer to use a 120G.
No, a 5400 all else equal will be slower than a 7200 - but you don't have a choice, because all manufacturers have stopped making 7200 RPM EIDE (PATA) computer laptop some time ago.

Hard drives not recognized on Precision 650
Hello
I have a Dell Precision Workstation 650 2003 System. I have 4 hard drives of 250 GB on in more the 40 GB boot drive. Of data readers were on the secondary IDE channel, while the other two were on a PCI - IDE card.
Recently, I decided to upgrade all drives in my system. For my boot drive, I have upgraded to a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST380215A HDD 80 GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100. For my data drives, I went with 4 ST3750640A of Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750 GB 7200 RPM Ultra ATA100 IDE drives.
After having replaced the drives, I was able to install CentOS Linux 5.1 on the 80 GB boot drive. I also could see the 750 GB drives attached to the PCI - IDE card. However, the 750 GB drives connected to the secondary IDE channel are not recognized by the BIOS or the operating system.
I tried the following command to get the discs to work:
(i) update of the BIOS on the workstation to version A05. It is the latest version of the BIOS available from Dell for my system.
(II) new IDE cables are used for the secondary IDE channel.
(III) tried all four disks to see if any combination works.
(IV) tried to put just a walk on the secondary channel.
(v) tried "cable select" setting the jumpers on the drives.
(VI) configuration of the riders ' master/slave' I tried on disks.
(VII) tried other riders to Seagate where you put an extra jumper on two pins closest feeding on both drives.
(VIII) tried erasing memory NVRAM using keystrokes - Alt + F, Alt + E, and then Alt + B. After reboot, the system performed the automatic IDE configuration, but couldn't detect the 750 GB drives.
(IX) tried the IDE cable that I use for the PCI card, which is able to detect the discs correctly.
(x) tried to connect the drives on the primary IDE channel.
None of these things have worked. I don't want to go back to the 250 GB drives because I want more storage. Y at - it a trick of hardware/software/firmware that I missed? Is there a way I can use the 750 GB drives on my system?
Thank you
Saurabh

Built in hard drives not recognized Mac pro 2010
Hi all. At work, I have a Mac Pro 2010 tour which has two built in disks, running 10.10.5. Recently, the computer is not recognizing its own built in disks. The keyboard eject button will not open any of them, nor will be the eject option in the menu bar - he thinks that there are no drives connected. It is a work computer, and we'd love to have this feature back. Thanks in advance!

External hard drive not recognized
It seems as if my Macbook Superdrive is not recognized by both my MacBook after upgrade to El Capitan. I took my external drive to the Apple iStore, it has been tested and I've been told that it does not. Then, I bought a new disc (R1999.30 - a lot of money!), and after connecting to my two computers today, I realized that this new album is also "does not work". After each update, something that has worked well in the past, does not work. Has anyone found a solution yet?
How you try to burn the disks?
You get an error message? So then what?

Tecra M9-185 - 750 GB HARD drive not recognized
I have Tecra M9-185 (PTM91E-0G4045G3) with BIOS Version 1.90 dated the 29.02.2008.
It came with HARD drive of 160 GB, which is quite old and needs replacement. I want to upgrade the HARD drive. I tried to use the 750 GB HARD drive, but it was not recognized by the BIOS.Is it possible to upgrade the HARD disk? Is there a limit to the ability of the new HARD disk that can be installed?
Hello
Of course, the HARD drive can be upgraded.
The laptop supports the SATA controller. The SATA controller is not limited to a special HARD drive size of my knowledge. 750Go should be supported too. But it might be possible that the BIOS is not able to manage these dimensions.
Try a different SATA HDD with the smaller size. But question: why you n t choose an SSD (250 GB)?
I have improved my Tecra A10 with a 250 GB SSD and the performance gain is amazing. The machine is running much faster and quieter
