  • Desktop Background slideshow is stopped after Windows Update

I have my computer and automatic updates from Microsoft. I received a number of Microsoft updates on 14/02/13. After the reboot, the background slide show feature has stopped working. The background alone, that I can use now is a solid color. If I select a single image or images and save the value, the background does not change. The bottom icon temporarily shows a slide show and then switch back to solid in seconds by itself. It was working fine before the update. Once I connected after the reboot, the bottom just went blue. I tried all different background options and the only one that works are solid colors. I can change the color scheme, but can't get images to display. How the background slide show to work after Microsoft updates? Y at - there an update I can remove it to restore the function?

I was able to fix the problem by replacing the "TranscodedWallpaper.jpg" file and clear the contents of the file "slideshow.ini" in my... Directory of \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes. Not sure that is actually solved the problem. I deleted the "TranscodedWallpaper.jpg" file and replaced with an image file. I selected all (cntl-a) in the ini file, even if it looked empty, delete the entire contents and saved. Then I closed all Windows Explorer Windows and the background went to the image. Then I was able to pick my theme with background transitions and it worked.

Obviously, updates of windows which took place on 14/02/13 caused one or more of these files to become corrupted.

I hope this helps someone else.

  • Satellite click Mini L9W - B touchscreen stops after Windows update

    Hello

After a series of windows updates were installed today (July 15) on my Mini click the touch screen no longer works. Uninstall the updates, brought the touch screen to life. If anyone has had this problem and, if so, find out what update caused the problem?

Mac.: I just fixed it by restarting the Tablet two times.

    Good news!

But in case this will not work for others, you can use the Windows Backup & Restore to set the operating system to the point of early time (prior to the installation of the update)
After each update of MS, Windows creates new clean restore points

  • Y50 stops after bios update

I'm pretty disappointed with the performance of this laptop. I paid a lot of money for this, and now, after the latest bios and os update it stops when you play.

This problem only occurs when you use the version of the bios v3.03. I went down to 1.03 and it works very well. However, since I was on windows 10, there are a few problems with power management.

What is lenovo has to say about it? Any difficulty?

  • System stopped after bios update (Y510)

I've updated my bios on xp using the vista Installer (probably a bad idea). Just after I've updated, to start the system stops. Saying: network wireless unsupported detected device. Arrested system. Right now I can't do anything on this subject. Little help would be greatly appreciated.

You can find the location of the map by turning around the laptop and by unscrewing the largest coverage (coverage that doesn't have a disk written on it).

It should be the thing circled in blue. Read the label on. Find a way to remove this card from the system. I have no experience with the removal of the card itself, so I can't help you with this part.

  • brushes Photoshop rows and stops after the update to Yosemite

After update to Yosemite, whenever I use the brush or tool Eraser, it stops or lags (I don't know what to call it).

What happens is I can't hit the other shortcuts like '[' keys to increase the size of the brush, and even changing tools like pressing 'V', but if I click the icon it will be recovered.

I checked the history panel, it stops there.

    I use

    Wacom Bamboo CTH-670

    Wireless keyboard

    Wireless mouse

    iMac (21.5 inch, Mid2010)

    I also did these things

    -Reinstalled photoshop and Wacom driver

-If I use the mouse it works very well

-Because the mouse is OK, I thought this is my wacom but used the brush in Lightroom, it works perfectly it

-Using the clone as a brush stamp tool, it works perfectly.

    What should I do now?

Are you running CS6? If Yes, go to Menus, shortcuts, tool Lasso or Photoshop constantly run when using a Wacom tablet. Mac OS

and install the plug-in white window workaround. Let us know if this clears up the question

  • doesn't stop after the update

I've updated the software for my Mac mini yesterday (19/12/15). When updates have been made, I stopped as usual - except that the gear on the screen remained there for at least 30 minutes. I had to unplug the mini to stop the process. Today, I started the camera and there worked - App Store showed that need updating, so I think that he had no problem with the installation yesterday.  But when I stopped, the engine remained once again on the screen for a long time. I finally had to unplug again. Any ideas what is wrong and how to fix it?

Several parts of the update are not actually installed until the machine stops.  The installation process can take a long time, and Apple install progress estimates are notoriously inaccurate (the "About 2 minutes to the end" on my El Capitan upgrade took more than 6 hours!) »).  I say stop the machine before you go to bed and see if it ends in the morning.

If this is not the case, try resetting the PRAM (NVRAM) memory when you start.   Probably a good idea to do whenever you make an upgrade of the OS.  The El Capitan upgrade on one of my machines was starting slow until I reset the PRAM.

Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Method 2: As you reported corruption of C drive, I suggest to run a disk check and check if that helps.
    Check a drive for errors

  • Laptop HP OMEN - 15-5010nr: Omen HP 15: backlit keyboard does not not after BIOS update

This morning my HP omen arrived by mail, fully functional with everything in tact. After I left my laptop to install the updates from HP Support Assistant (one of these being an update of the BIOS updates), I returned to find my computer restarted and my enlightened retro keyboard does not. After trying to use HP OMEN control to fix the keyboard, I found the keyboard flashes when I click "Apply to all Zones", but then immediately turns off again. Is it possible to fix this keyboard backlit ir question can we see an update in the near future that resolves this problem?

Found a solution! Apparently, the keyboard stops after the update of the BIOS, so to reactivate just push F5.

  • Mac stops do not after the update of the sierra

I've updated my MacBook Air (13 inches early 2015) to Sierra. After the update, it is not shut down or restart. If I click on stop, my screen goes black and the keyboard backlight is on. The judgment never ends. Its the same case on reboot too.

    Help, please. Thank you.

Although this will help, but I have also reported this problem, like many other people:

    MacBook Air shutdown correctly

macOS Sierra presents a serious problem that must be dealt with quickly

Apple should give a direct response to this because it is obviously not an isolated incident.
