Designjet 1050c Cutter do not operate.

I searched this forum for old cutter 1050/1055 related messages, but nothing has fixed the problem.

Here's the background info... I fixed the plotter last summer and it has worked great until about 2 months ago.  He plots fine, but will not cut the paper.  Strawberry is 'on' in the settings and the driver is set to cut as well.  It will NOT cut off when you press the button "form of power and cut.  It advances the paper and a few dances around the arm of the actuator of the left side, but never out.

Here's a video of him during this operation of FF/Cut:

http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=Vb_A-At48x4

Maintenance last year included a new belt would be rebuilt module transport & electronics, new drive cable and a new tensioner.

Since he left the Cup, I replaced the (new) MICR band, Strawberry (again) and a new belt.  Still doesn't fix it.

It passes the test of the electronic module (firmware A.01.17), network. Scan axis is with record.  What I'm missing here?  I'm out of ideas.  Part of me thinks that this is a problem with the firmware, but I'm tired of throwing money at it without a good reason.

Plotter fixed.  There was a problem with the circuit of the value axis.  The technology could not immediately identify the problem, so he sent another refurb could take.  Everything is good now.  It will continue the fix, Member of the Board, but he wanted me to operational.

Thanks to Vincent LeTech solutions!

  • HP designjet 1050c is compatible with windows 7

We have a HP Designjet 1050c model C6074B and recently bought a new computer with windows 7.   I am trying to determine if the computer is compatible.  Any ideas?

Vista Designjet 1050c drivers have been reported to work under Windows 7, see the post here.  (I used XP x 64 drivers for my old old Designjet 650 c in Windows 7 and Windows 8).  You will need to select the correct 32-bit version or 64-bit driver.

There are also has 1055c Designjet drivers available on Windows 7 in the add a printer dialog box, it may be worth trying one of these.

This forum focuses on the level of consumer products.  In the future for the Designjet you can have better results, post in the forum HP Designjet here.

  • Ink tube leaking Designjet 1050c

My Designjet 1050c is leaking yellow ink coming out of tube under the prinheads jets. I took the whole hose out of the printer (per instruction manual). My question is, these nozzles can be replaced at the end of the tubes verses buying a whole new tube Assembly? $300 + est a lot of money for a full game when you need only 1 nozzle or 4 new ones.

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I'll be in good shape now... I figured out how to get the fixing of nozzle apart without destroying it,

AND... NOZZLES, I FOUND ON EBAY FOR $18.00... !!!!!!

  • Message JOB may NOT OPERATE because of DESTINATION INVALID keeps popping up online with IE or not.

Periodically throughout the time I use the computer, the message of EMPLOYMENT cannot NOT OPERATE due to INVALID DESTINATION continues to appear and must be x'ed out before I can go on my work.  It comes as well when I'm online (IE9) and work on the DESKTOP.  This message has not arrived until I changed to IE 10.  I paid Microsoft to stop the problem I had with IE 10 and they put me in IE9, but this message now.  can someone help me?  I've already spent $250 for the military in order to fix this situation, but it has not yet been set

I am running windows 7, IE 9, connecting cable through Brighthouse and MSN as your browser.

Nothing new has been installed after the installation of IE 10 attempt and after that, when it does not work well, try to install Chrome.  This installation was stopped because the computer would not accept the download - for some reason any. I have a HP computer that has about 3 years and with the exception of this persistent situation works well.

    Hi Harry,.

Let us work together to solve this problem.

I ask you to answer a few questions, so that we can diagnose this problem properly:

    1. do you have connected an external hard drive to the computer?

2 you have any backup software installed on the computer?

This problem is known to occur if the external hard drive is not connected properly or if the backup software does not work properly.

  • DesignJet 5500: DesignJet 5500 cutter chatters

My 5500 fine cut, at least the Cup seems to be good, but the strawberry makes a weird noise, he chatters, as is the Cup.  Is it possible to replace just the cutting wheel?  Alternatively, somehow sharpen the wheel?   Is there something I need to look and check with the knife?

If I need to replace the cutting tool, is there a place to get a good price?  I found the knife set for sale for $85 and it would be nice to find a price lower, if possible. If all goes well, I can fix or trouble existing strawberry or replace the wheel or something cheaper than $85

Take a look at this thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/DesignJet-Large-Format-Printers-and-Digital-Press/5500-cutter-repair/m-p/5603303

I had the same problem.  The cutting tool is easy to remove, but you must shoot the heads of print and unclip the front pipe of the car.  Then you can get a Torx screwdriver to remove the screw that keeps the cutting unit on.  Then it slides towards the front of the printer.

When you look at the Assembly, there is a small "tire" which is probably worn or cracked or torn.  This is what rolls on the bed of the printer and makes the sound vibrations.  You need to disassemble the knife to replace it, but it is not too complicated.  Just be careful and watch for the big spring inside, so you don't lose it.  Can take pictures so that you know how to reassemble.  Take the 'draws' down to the hardware store and ask an "o-ring" that matches.  Cost about 89 cents.  (I don't remember the size but I wrote it at home).  Set which turn it back on and go back and reinstall everything and're you good to go.

Or you can send them to me and I'll fix it for nuthin'!  These prices on Ebay and other sites are really outrageous for what they do to fix it.  Here I would have thought of it!

  • DesignJet 1050c more Electronics Module Test

    Hello, all.

A few weeks ago, we replaced the belt on our more tracer 1050c DesignJet.  After restarting the printer, he would end the scan of the axis.  Did a bit of reading and greasing and decided to try again today.  Today, it is said that there is an error with the electronic module probably with the spray fan.  From what I gathered, the more does not use a fan of the aerosol.  Is this true?  Any of you have an idea as to what could happen?

    Thank you.

We had a service technician come and fix it Wednesday.  The coding Strip has not been installed correctly.

  • Designjet z6100: Z6100 do not print correctly

I tried to print to my DesignJet z6100 after update to windows 10 but the machine will not print to something greater then 14 ".  I have a 24 "roll loaded on the machine and when I try to print with photoshop, I select a page 16" x 20 "size, but it prints just 14" and then cut the rest of the image.

The printer is reading so I know that's not that media to 24 ".  It seems that im missing some menu items in the print settings that I can not select a custom paper size dialog.  my software support HP tells me that my drivers are up to date, it reads as a pilot class HP designJet z6100 42 inch.

Any ideas what could be the cause, or is there something else I should do to print on this machine?

OK so I finally understood this point, I have listed the steps below in case anyone else had this problem.

    1) download the drivers from the HP website

    (2) unzip the drivers in a folder somewhere you can find it (I put it on my desk)

    3) go to start > settings > devices and click on add a printer or a scanner

    (4) after scanning, an option that says 'the printer that I want isn't listed"will appear. click it

    (5) select "add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.

    (6) select your printer is connected to the port (because mine is networked, I selected the IP address of the printer that was rated) and click Next

    (7) select "have disk" at the bottom right

    (8) select 'Browse' and that it points to the folder that was unzipped earlier.  There should be a file that appears, select it.

    (9) from here must install a driver called "HP Designjet 42 inch Photo HPGL2" it's the one you want.  You can share or not, I've selected do not share

The "class driver" is the software an HP and windows tries to install, but it has very limited functionality.  Honestly im a little upset I fgure on all this for me.  the HP less could do is put som instructions for installation with their drivers in a readme file or on the site.  Instead, they just give the files you and waiting to discover by yourself.

  • DesignJet 1050c more: 1050c print head cleaning

    Hi all

I recently bought a 1050c more printer in fairly decent condition. I used to use a Roland SP540v at the office but this 1050c was home so I'm somewhat familiar with printers large format.

His print beautifully after I replaced the timing belt, new valves of printhead on the ramasseherbe Assembly and removed all the air from the system. The only thing I noticed when I got all the covers off the coast has been the print head cleaning.

The cleaners C, M and received this pleated filter sitting at the window near the wipers but the black does not. Is this normal? I can see what appears to be a sponge sitting at the front of the vacuum cleaner that I don't see in color.

Refurbishable are printhead cleaning products? I only ask because it will be a unit of the House and I would try save as much as I can where I can.

    Kind regards

    Select this option.

I just went down and checked on my 1050C cleaners and Yes, they are the same.  Also the same on the cleaners of the 5000 series, IIRC.  Foam on all colors but black without foam.

Can you tell me where you extracted the floodgates of print head?  Also, I have a problem with the air in the lines on my 1050c and seeks to replace the system of whole tube by a refurbished.  But if I can try to solve it by simply replacing print head valves, I could even quite a bit of money.

    Thank you!

  • DesignJet 1055 CM will not be running

We have a DesignJet 1055 CM that worked very well until I tried to turn it on this morning. The screen displays the message "autotest", then indicates ".." then shows "Initializing" for a few seconds. I hear a click from the left side of the Board drawing, then it starts the sequence again the message "autotest". She repeats this sequence if lit. There is no error message is displayed.

That is a known issue with this liner has a bad spot on the coding Strip which sometimes causes problems with loading the paper. He had the problem with the band of coding for years and I've never had a problem he turn before if. I do not think that the two would be linked?

The only thing that changed was recently I replaced an ink cartridge, but the plotter worked again very well after the replacement of the cartridge.

    Thanks for any help.

The first thing that comes to mind is the power supply located on the left side. What I would do is remove all the printheads and ink cartridges. I would be so off tension in the back of the plotter, plug it in again click the switch on the back to turn the unit back on. If you still get the led at the front of the drawing on red Board and the power button on the front is not working, then power would be the most likely cause. If you is not the model number, you can still use power supply plu model as there is no part number for the power supply for non plus a model.

  • HP Designjet 500 42 "do not print

Looking for help with my HP plotter. Recently, I replaced the service station and print transport. I also downloaded the driver (Driver HP DesignJet 500 PCL3GUI 32-bit) and firmware (series of printer HP Designjet 500, 510 and 800 Firmware Upgrade) to new pc XP from the original pc used for printing crashed. The printer displays indication normal and says ready for jobs however when I send a print to the printer it just shows treatment work and transport movements feeling left right at a few times, but the jobs do not print. Also, it seems to stay forever in this (suspended) mode and I have to power the printer off to return to the normal screen ready.

What is a driver/firmware issue or hardware?

If I try to print a configuration page it also does the same thing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jacob

It is a thin cable error. The ends of the cable have questions or it is not completely sitting in the cart. I guess the cable could be as bad.

  • DesignJet 5500: Cutter has stopped working. Strawberry setting is "enabled."

On my 5500 after printing something from the machine always cuts the paper.  The printer is no longer automatically cutting paper when finished printing.  I checked the menu of the printer and the strawberry is set on "on".  It makes no noise related to the cut, I don't think that the printer is trying to cut.

Are there other settings that I can check?  I get no error message.

I found the page break and characteristic cut, it's under media settings.

I changed the media type and the strawberry started to work very well.  I do not change the paper, only the type listed in the media settings in the printer menu.

  • DesignJet 1050c more: 1050c failure print head

    Hi guys,.

So I have a 1050c that I had recently worked, there done upon arrival have air in the black line. I replaced the nozzle which leaked onto the station transport and removed all the air from the line. It worked perfectly for the last two days. Ive kept a close eye on the tube system to ensure no air flow. Last night when I tried to print, it came with printhead failure on black background.

Now its almost certain air went up in the head after the first print test I did with the printer, I think it was the test of the palette. That's what prompted me to check the tubes in the first case.

After I got the error last night I tripled checked the lines for all the bubbles that their absence. I also pulled the head and checked the nozzle and there certainly no air either, when I put the printhead in the unit, says its fine all it prints perfectly 3 or 4 passes and then triggers the error. If I reinstall it, it still print 4 or so passes and then triggers the error.

Is there a chance the other than the head thing, I just want to avoid the replacement of the head to find her something else cause. I'll try and rinse the head with ink to make sure there is no air inside, could give the old head a new lease on life, but I have another head on command in any case.

99% of the time it's a defective print head.  If the print head has got to air inside the first time you used it, then he should be replaced because there is no way to remove the air unless you can fashion a form of suction device that attaches to the side of nozzle and do enter the PIN that normally goes into the nozzle on the transport of ink.  A few years ago, I saw a device that somebody foreign did but have never seen one that was produced for the market.
