  I work for a small engineering firm. We have owned a large scale printer Postscript HP Designjet T2300 plotter for about five years. We rarely have problems with it, but a few days ago, we started to have problems with the service stations of the tracer. Whenever we turn the plotter hear us a loud clicking noise coming from the area of the station.

  We initially received error code 21.2:13. I contacted HP support and they had me run diagnostics on the service station. They returned with the error code of 21:13. I was told that I needed to replace the service station.

I got out the service station Assembly and disassemble to see if I could fix it. Badly cleaned ink necessary spittoon & one of the metal clips used to stop the carrier to move too far to the front had popped out.

  I've cleaned all the ink level and I replaced the clip. I reassembled the Assembly and reinstalled in the plotter. After the reboot, I can still hear the rattling noise. The motor that moves the carriage of station service before doesn't seem to work properly. It does not stop when it reached the front of the gas station. She continues to advance the carrier and click on gears.

  Is there a sensor or something built that is supposed to stop the carrier to service station when it is moved to the front as it has supposed to go? Is my only option to replace the entire service station?

  Here's something that might work. Remove the loaded paper. Remove all the ink cartridges and print heads. Now, turn on the printer and see if it get to the place where it asks to install some of these supplies.

  Someone at - it an idea on why when the printer above comes out "sleep" mode, trying to copy anything the printer will produce a block of black ink A3 size.

  If you stop the copy job, perform a new analysis the document it prints normally.  It seems what happens when coming out of sleep mode.

Replace the belt, system of tube of ink, cartridges and printheads (belt was shot, the ink tube sank cyan) system started successfully with print heads of installation showing all 6 colors of ink. Ran diagnostic impression. Magenta is totally absent in prints of Diagnostics 1 and 5. Not even a trace of color. I tried the calibration and fails with the error 6009, understandable. tubes of ink to the transport still show all 6 colors. printer initializes generally very good, with all the list OK print heads (because they are all new!). But sometimes throws an error 0032 00000004 0c fall detector, but not always. Fall sensor cleaned. My thought is that the Magenta Printhead is about shooting. Given that all the tubes of ink and no ink bubble comes OK. The fact that she sometimes error 0c 0032, but sometimes not, said that the printhead magenta must be fired sometimes at startup. So, I intend to replace the rear cart cables as the next logical step. Notice please! Thank you! Ray

  The first you see, it's actually the flowing magenta printhead ink. Take a damp paper towel, then press the printhead magenta in the towel and you should get two lines of ink. If you need a comparison, take the black and do the same thing. If you don't get two complete lines, then you can try to soak the print head in warm water (the temp) for about 2 minutes and pat dry with paper towels. Most of the time you can tell right away because when you place a print head in hot water should flow little ink and water take on the colour of the print head. Also make sure that it is not the magenta head light print and magenta. My feeling is that if you have a problem of thin cable you get an error message since the main Board check electrical connections to the print head during initialization, and when printing. Since you are not getting a failure than this message means electrically the printhead and the connections that are very well and this is the part of print head that is clogged or not working do not.

  Remember, once a print head has been damaged by the air in the tubes, it can not be fixed. After you make sure that no air flow inside the tube, you must replace it with a new print head. If you indeed extract the air from the tube and then replace the old print head, you will have to remove air from the tube and put a new print head in the printer.

• T2300 out of notification paper

  I have two different types of paper in my T2300. The default behavior of the machine, when #1 roll is empty, is to automatically switch to roll #2 without any notification.  What I want is tell me when #1 roll is empty, so I can load another roll. Is there a setting somewhere that will prevent the automatic switch to roll #2? The machine will beep at me for several different reasons, I wish it would beep when it is out of paper.

  To access the Protection Roll option, please follow the menu options listed below.

  Main menu > Setup > advanced printing preference > paper Option > roll of Protection.

  Hi guys. I try to print an image that is partially b & w, but has an area of color to this topic.

  It is originally the coming final image resembling somewhat a sepia image with some magenta inside. Some looked purple-ish also

  How can I stop this happening? I downloaded an image showing what I mean.

  Hi John, there is a profile/media incompatibility, meaning that the color profile used in printing does not match the media that you use or needs re profiling. What type of media you are using and what RIP you use to print?

  I just changed my internet and phone from verizon to comcast provider and now my plotter won't work.  It will not print the file.  It gets stuck in the impression, and I can not move from there other than to eliminate it.  I have different passwords for internet access. Would that be a problem?

  Internet access has nothing to do with your problem.  What is probably happening is your ip address of the computer has changed with the new router and your printer probably still has the ip address that has been setup when you verizon.  You will need to establish an ip address of the printer that is in the same frame, and the ip address of the computer.  Just go to a prompt on your computer and type ipconfig and see what ip address was assigned to the computer. Say is the address 192.168.0.3 now on the plotter, go to reports and print a summary report of network or just go to network setup and find the ip address of the plotter.  Using my example of the first 3 sets of numbers must be the same ones 192.168.0 now if the address of the tracer is 192.168.1.12 then this is the problem.  You need to manually reset the ip address of the printer, so the first 3 series are the same and the 4th issue is different from the computer.  Once you have done this, go to the properties of the printer and then click ports and then configure port and replace the current ip address with the new address and the printer should now work once the settings have been applied.
