What is my error code?

Thank you

Sorry, but your post is very confusing.  You've got an ok error code, after that I do not understand what you mean by switch / stop and seconds.  First thing you need to do is to unplug the plotter of the power source.  Wait about 30 seconds and plug back in and if the power does not turn on by itself, use the power button to turn it on and tell us what appears on the screen.

  • Designjet T520: Designjet T520: failure of the printer

Had Designjet T520 about 18 months. Use it only for printing large format on roll paper. Error message: the printer failed. "There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP. »

Have made the procedure "on - off" several times including disconnect, allowing the printer to sit idle and then plug it in, turn on and still the same problem. I also removed and checked each ink cartridge and cannot detect all problems.

Remove all the ink cartridges and turn on the plotter.  When he asks the ink, put them in one at a time and see if the error is displayed when only one of the ink cartridges installed.

We tried different settings. Updated the firmware today. Very frustrated ~ can someone help please?

I solved my problem by determining there was something wrong with this particular PDF. As another PDF of the same size and similar content files have been feeling very well, I'm focused on PDF export process.

This 'problem' PDF was created in ArcGIS. To resolve this problem, I have re-exported a new PDF, using graphics tablets vector (deflation LZW) and rasterize all symbols;  the new PDF print very well.

ALSO, for anyone who uses Pipelogix with ArcGIS, make sure that your toolbar does not work properly. If you get the toolbar alerts, remove the toolbar and start a new session, before exporting a PDF file. This may sometimes cause the problem I mentioned above.

  • Printing on roll paper using hp designjet t520

    Hello

    I bought a t520 24 "hp designjet printer that can print on a 24" or 600mm roll.

The problem I have is that I can only select format A1 (594 mm x 840 mm) but I'm not able to select a custom size to really make use of the roller. Does anyone have experience with printing on rolls?

    Thank you

    Jakob

We have a different designjet, but I may be able to help. Our current designjet is not postscript, and Custom is grayed out in the main menu to print. Enter the Page Setup and choose manage custom paper sizes, we can define the size here. On our printer, the unprintable area must be the moins.25 on the et.67 on the bottom sides, or Setup fails.

I think that it's related to the absence of postscript because our previous design jet was equipped with postscript, and we were able to define page formats custom in the main window of the print.

  • DesignJet T520 36in: DesignJet T520 36in printing problem

I have a banner that I created in Adobe InDesign CS6.  File is 12.2 MB.  The file was created 36 "x 70".  When I try to print in our T520 it will print only a small part of the left area of the bottom of the picture.

I tried printing from, PS, ID, Preview, Acrobat, ArcGIS... all with the same result.  and using PDF, JPG, etc.

    I also tried the 34 x 68 thus configuration.

It seems that if I select E papersize and tailored size, it begins to print across the width of the banner.  I would not waste the ink to see if it does not print the entire banner.

So, best I can tell, something goes wrong, after that I will more than 44 inches in length on the banner.

Any thoughts on how to get the full banner to print?  Thank you!

Really not an expert in this area but what happens if you reverse your size settings.  Instead of 36 X 70 have it size 70 X 36 as the printer maybe is the thought that the 70 is the width it cannot the printer.

  • Designjet T520: Designjet T520 24 in. don't size printing

    Hello

I try DJ T520 of my office to print a size D ANSI drawing. We bought this one a few months ago and it works fine, but I found an option that we had in our old office in isn't there anymore. I used to be able to rotate the print 90 degrees manually in the print settings. Because we have 24 in the version of the printer, I need to print the drawing in the portrait which means he needs to rotate 90 degrees, so it can adapt. Is there a way of setting this? Is this just a problem of drivers? I worked with our company this GUY to try to understand this. Thank you!

Please see the section "Use paper economically" to the following HP web link to use the desired job rotation option:

  • Designjet T520 print size problem

Hello my name is Sonny, we're a small plane forming of sheet metal co.  We print a lot of drawing and plate unfolded size.  We use Catia, Solidworks and Surfcam most.  We recently bought a T520 replace our old 750 c +.

The problem I have is the ratio is out of length, width, if I print a 24.00 24.00 x sq it prints x 24.00 23.95.

I tried it on vellum paper and 4mill inkbond and with the settings of all the 'best '.

been through the book and tried everything I think.

    need help please.

    Thank you

    Sonny

    Hello.

Not easy to understand, but I guess the print length is too short.

If you go into the setup, you should have the quality - calibration paper feed maintenance.

Run calibration in advance paper create and test with new impression.

    Hello!

Which is the default login and password for the web server and how to reset the password?

    Hello

As mention Rashed, there is no password to the factory.

    Try a Restore Factory Settings.

If this does not work, go to the Help Menu and do a Soft Reset. (Don't do the hard reset).

For access to the support menu press on and hold the power button for 15 seconds, or at the home screen tap home, back, home, home.

  • DesignJet T520 36 "tracer: DesignJet T520 36" takes hours to print my PDF graphics files

It wasn't a problem for a few weeks after I installed the drivers on 2 users PC.  Then both started having this problem.  The PDF file can be 20 MB for example and the print job in the queue is create a "spool" file that is 5 times bigger and 2 hours to print.  All of my PDF files do so.  A 20.4 MB PDF created a 537 MB file when sending to the printer.  Only a night or more than 5 printed pages.  Don't forget, he did not this time at first.  We also tried printing directly on the plotter via a USB cable.  No improvement.  The driver has been installed a few weeks ago and downloaded from the HP website.  And two HP computers, a laptop and the other an Z210 workstation, take the ridiculous time even to print.

Is there a setting on the printer or in the device settings on the PC that could be the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

That's right, according to the amount of data is on the file, when it reaches the spooler starts a larger file, the numbers you give does not sound weird.

    That's what you can try:

    1. at the computer, go to printing preferences > Advance > Max. Resolution enforcement > select 300

This wil help you reduce the amout of data sent

2 - If you print from Adobe Reader, go to file > print > Advance > select print as image

It will be flat image and can help with the issue

    3. before saving the file in PDF, flattening the image in a single layer. And if possible, reduce the dpi.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards
