Designjet Z2100: Designjet Z2100 flees

Hello

Plotter in our office began leaking magenta ink when do us long printing (especially detailed with a lot of color). For some there reason influenses only the blue color. I can say that it is a leak because the task under the cardrigdes of ink will be splashed with magenta ink (and sometimes black ink too, although that appears not to have an influence on printing). I've attached a picture to show where the leak would be. The leak is under the hood, behind the cardrigdes and accessible by hand if you move the holder of the printerhead. Cleaning the area with paper towels help that is is more pink, but only temporarily.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

  • Designjet z2100 predefined paper sync to the driver using the HP utility is greyed out.

    Hi all

I have a z2100 24 "on the latest firmware v9.0.0.5 (November 2012) and the latest drivers installed on Win7 64 bit OS. Last UTILITY.

I downloaded a Preset paper HP (HP Everyday matte adhesive polypropylene) from the HP website and downloaded the document preset to the printer. The predefined paper displays on the front panel of the printer under custom paper types. If it worked.

To synchronize the document for my permit profiles now, I need to use the HP utility, but PROFILES PAPER SYNC icon is grayed out. Therefore, the paper type is not available in my driver. That's my problem.

Any ideas why I can't sync the downloaded document preset on the driver using the HP utility?

    Thank you very much

  • Designjet Z2100: Buy a used Z2100. This who should I look for?

I am considering buying a Z2100 used to, essentially, a few cents of a liquidator for recovery.  The printer has remained for months with no cartridge but some print heads (I know are probably trash). I have an another Z2100 that I can borrow the ink and the heads of the test, but only after I have to engage in the purchase and replace the timing belt.

What should I look for? I don't mind sinking maybe $1000 in there, but I'm evaluating my risk of becoming much more expensive.

    Thank you!

Z2100 8 color and print quality has not as good as the 12 colors like Z3200 etc.

If you serious about print quality, sped up your money for the newer model.

  • Designjet Z2100 driver problems

    Hello

Am I the only one having problems with the new drivers Z2100 (Oct 2014)?

The new drivers work just fine, unless you try to synchronize the printer paper profiles or add a new custom paper profile.

If you sychronisé the paper profiles, the section custom from the list of available documents has all other profiles listed as well as a new.

If you try to select any profile paper in the full list this choice is not displayed in the window type of paper in the drivers, and if you click on the button "Refresh" the drivers block the application you use.

I reinstalled the drivers several times and also tried the drivers on a bare, new instalation of Win 7 64 bit with no application installed. Access the driver dialog via Windows devices and printers. The result is the same.

I'd be curious to know if anyone else has the same problem.

  • Designjet Z2100: HP Designjet Z2100 does not print MK

I have a HP Z2100 44 "which is out of warranty for several years.  Recently, we noticed that the color printing large format have been turned off (do not look right).  Finally, we ran a diagnostic image (see below) and found that there is no matte black printing (MK).  All other colours print completely and correctly in the image diagnosis, except MK.  I ran this test with bond paper and glossy photo - the results are the same.  No MK ink is printed during each test.

We replaced the cartridge MK both MK/Cyan printhead, but the problem persists.

Any suggestions for how to start troubleshooting when one color is unable to print?

    Thank you

    Jer

This question seems to have been caused by other defective printhead.  I had already replaced the printhead, but it replaces a second time seems to have solved the problem.  For the time being.

  • Designjet z2100: points with every print

I have a row of points on one side to each print.

    Photos below

Could someone tell me what are the causes of the problem?

The fact that once you clean this area points disappear tells us that the plotter is somehow always disposting of ink in this area. Do what asked the above post and I also want to remove each print head, one at a time and clean up the edges to verify that there are no residual ink being placed down by the edges. Do not clean the center of the printhead with anything as you may damage the nozzles.

  • HP z2100: Firmware update would not - is there a way to put the firmware directly on the HARD drive?

I was really happy to correct my hp z2100 today... lala lala and then update firmware to be updated!

    What a mistake!

Everything was fine until the end when the printer said it restarts and after that it does not start. I think the drive hard does not have the system on it more and cannot start.

    What now?

Maybe it's the same problem, I've had a few years on a Z2100.  Updated the firmware and the printer would not restart.  Reinstall from cable to the screen, and everything came back OK.

  • A DesignJet 1055 CM c6075a would work OK with Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 superior?

A DesignJet 1055 CM (model A, c6075a) would work OK with Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 superior?  I don't have a Mac; I plead for a potential buyer of my 1055CM. The 1055CM currently has 96 MB of RAM; I could put 128 MB in.

I would get "out of memory" problems?  I think that maybe there is no "computer in process" option in the Mac OS 10.7 for the 1055CM pilot, but I'm not 100% on that.

I guess it depends on how simple designs are. The application is for printing large topic say 24 "x 24" vinyl stickers vinyl roll.  Well, maybe raises another question: would a 1055CM, printing on vinyl OK?; I guess because they seem to be very similar architecture/configuration as a 5000 or 5500 and these OK printing on vinyl.

    Thanks a bunch.

    Paul

    Hi Paul

I wouldn't say a 1055 for work of vinyl. There are a few suppliers who can provide a vinyl fot this printer, but it's not too successful.

First ink 1050 won't last long, it will fade fade very quickly. (you can use a laminate liuid, but time consuming, will not worht it.)

Secondly, the 5000 series printers have a different ink, it means the UV ink and ink to dye. Two inks are specialised in the printing of "vinyl" or "post".

Your best bet is to get a HP designjet with Viera of ink, with the correct paper, that they have to use intermediary.

Otherwise a second hand series Z (Z2100 going quite cheap, comes in a cheaper A1) these printers have pigmented ink which have a longer life of the door.

    Hello

Try to isolate the printer, remove the printhead, inks, connectivity cables and turn on the printer.

If the error persists, it may be a problem with the APC hand.

    What is my error code?

    Thank you

Sorry, but your post is very confusing.  You've got an ok error code, after that I do not understand what you mean by switch / stop and seconds.  First thing you need to do is to unplug the plotter of the power source.  Wait about 30 seconds and plug back in and if the power does not turn on by itself, use the power button to turn it on and tell us what appears on the screen.
