Desires of Windows Update restarts all the time to complete updates

Update Windows (W7) asks to reboot all the time. I am up to date with all updates. There are usually deferred until 4 am, but sometimes not, and is called a reboot scheduled for 10 minutes. How can this be stopped? I tried to go back to a restore point, and then update again.

  • Windows XP restarts all the time; does not start mode safe mode and last known Configuration does not work either

Hello! Recently, I installed Wubiand appreciates well. However, a few days ago, when I tried to boot XP on my netbook (EEE PC 1005hab), it restarts just constantly return to the selection screen of the BONES. I tried Safe Mode and last good Configuration known with anything will do. What should I do now? Ubuntu has not stopped working suddenly, so I can't access my data.

I don't have to have a Windows XP CD, there is something weird Asus recovery instead. In addition, it is a netbook so I don't have an optical drive to run the recovery CD. I'm doing a Livecd of Linux USB so I can back up my data... but I can do but reinstall at this point?

    Thank you.

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD drive (even an external).

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu, it has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start pressing the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restarts on system failure, and then select it.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

My Toshiba Satellite A300D 14 p restarts all the time and I can't do anything!
I turned it off last night and today, when I pressed the power button it worked for 1-2 seconds and then again did a restart.

And last night, everything was OK?

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • I want to get rid of notification downloads. I won't use Firefox if I can't get rid of the pesky "downloads notification window" popping up all the time. What a pain in the browser!

The 'notification of downloads window' keeps popping up. I have no use for it either. If I can't get rid of it, I will stop using Firefox as my browser.

    Hi hkivhk,

Ask yourself if you can disable the downloads window? It's actually pretty easy. Just go to Tools > Options > general. If you have the Firefox menu, simply press Alt to temporarily activate the menu bar.

You can find more information in the following article Starter , homepage, tabs and download settings.

    Hope this helps!

  • After you run the workflow in minor data, then the window "start" made its appearance all the time and don't can't stop it

I installed the oracle11g and configured the SQL Developer minor and the data correctly, but when I run a workflow, the window 'departure' appears all the time, can't walk in the phase of runing and also can not stop. For now, the only thing I can do is to kill the program in the Windows operating system.

Sometimes, when I kill the program and restart and restart run the workflow, it may be normal.

So, I would like to know why and how to sovle it?

Yes, there is a simple solution:

"To ensure that Workflow tasks Data Miner is visible in your user interface".

It is the window that displays the list of workflows that were run during the last day, and also all workflows running active and their completion percentage.

If this window is visible, if it is not blocked from viewing by another tab, then you will avoid your problem.
If you do not see the window tasks of Workflow Data Miner at all, then go to the menu: Tools-> Data Miner-> make it Visible.

That should it appears in your user interface, then you should just make sure that it is fully visible.

SQL Dev 4.0 final version will be released soon, it will be difficult, so this problem is no longer a problem.

    Thank you, Mark

  • Pages crashing all the time after updating the OS 10.11.3

Hello, I have problems with Pages crashing since I received the update OS X El Capitan (10.11.3). Common problems are:

    • Pages could open documents with considerable delays: when I double click on a file, it may take up to 20 seconds before opening the document (at the same time, the only thing running is 2 tabs in Safari with non-intensive websites like Wikipedia);
    • Pages would not open to all documents: sometimes it refuses to open my documents either. When I choose for example a document on the 'Recent' via dock icon Pages list it will not launch it. If I wait for awhile and just click the Pages icon, hoping that it will be launched the document in the background, he brings just to the top of the window with the models as if I wanted to open a new document.
    • 'Missing font"all the time: I did not the latest changes to my fonts, but when I opened a document originally created in Pages (and not a converted copy of an old Word document) it always gives an error message "missing fonts" - particularly associated with Microsoft fonts. I downloaded and installed Cambria and Calibri manually and it fixed the problem... for about 8 hours, then he started again.
    • Beach ball rotation of death during the execution of simple operations: it's exasperating, but every now and then when trying to type or text in bold (and similar), the beach of death ball will appear, making the Pages does not.
    • Crashing before loading the same: when I force quit the app because it did not and then I try to run again, often they no longer again before loading the same. What the...?
    • Impossible to duplicate documents: at one time I thought that it is a certain file at the origin of all evil, so I tried it duplicate several times - which of course caused Pages to plant again and again. Same thing happened when I tried with other files.

I had a similar problem before and it was fixed to restore the default fonts and removing duplicates in the FontBook app, but unfortunately it did not this time.

I don't know what is wrong or why. It was working OK just a couple of days. Anyone else have similar experiences with it? Looks like Apple may not come out with an update that doesn't break the workflow of the people. But yay, more emoticons and pictures Live Webcam on the way!

Because my Pages on El Capitan 10.11.3 v5.6.1 works very well with any of your questions, I believe that it is not Pages, but something out of Pages in your environment operating system as a cache of corrupt police, duplicate fonts, or damaged preferences file. Perhaps it is that you are too many applications running for your memory availability and Pages of hunger. All in due time.

Let's start with a secure boot that will clear the system and local caches, rebuild the database of the police and then see if it stabilizes your use of the Pages.

    Secure boot

    1. Shut down your Mac.
    2. Press the power button and immediately press on and hold down the SHIFT key until you see the horizontal progress bar. I usually wait until it's an inch along before I release the SHIFT key. Personal touch.
    3. You will arrive at a login window. In the upper right screen, you'll see Safe Boot in red letters.
      1. After you type your password, stop, then press and hold the SHIFT key again once, before you click on the right arrow to open a session.
      2. Continue to hold the SHIFT key until your painting of icons on the desktop.
      3. Because many drivers are not loaded, graphics performance is not optimal, and may feel morose.
    4. Test Pages in startup mode to see if the problems have disappeared.
    5. Restart normally.
    6. Start Pages and open a document.

Previous post the results of step 4 and 6. Have what improvements (if any) you noticed?

  • My firefox restarts my PC all the time.

    Hello guys

My firefox restarts my PC all the time. It just hangs everything on the computer and restarts without stopping. What to do?

I formatted my computer and I can't use firefox. It restarts my computer all the time, lock screens, freezes and shuts down the entire system.
How can I remove it and stop the problems I can work normally.
Can someone tell me what to do? Why is this happening?

    Concerning
    Suzana

Windows restarts itself could indicate a device driver incompatibility, usually associated with your graphics card.

Instead to start Firefox normally, hold the SHIFT key to get the Security Mode/Reset dialog box and start safe mode. Then switch your acceleration hardware definition here:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

Safe mode automatically disables hardware acceleration, but this modification should enter into force when you quit Firefox and then start it again normally.

    Any improvement?

I found the answer. HP Tech Support Chat did not know the answer. When you run HP recovery CD, don't hit the restart WINDOWS button when it asks. The software will do it for you automatically. It will take a while (several hours 1-6 hours) to complete. You'll know it's done when WINDOWS ask you information of language, country and keyboard. In other words, don't touch anything once you start the restore CD program. Leave it alone and it will fix it for you. IGNORE the pop-up restart.

I can't believe HP has not even tell me that and 3 chat sessions with them was a waste of time. Last HP person ask me to send in the RECOVERY CD and the laptop.
