DeskJet 1112: windows xp sp3

I bought the printer in January and correctly installed and used on my desktop running Windows XP Service Pack 3 by using the HP installation disk supplied with the printer. Recently, I had a computer virus that required I have to reinstall Windows. I restored it to XP SP3 as if it was in January. Now, I can not install the printer. When I use the HP installation disk, instead of the driver and software installation screens I get only a window indicating that I have to update .NET Framework 3.5 Rev. Then I get an error message and am forced to close.   The same thing happens when I use the DJ1110_61.exe and DJ1110_Basicx86_61.exe downloaded installation files.   I also tried to install the printer using the routine "Add a printer" Windows. Asked about this, I said "Disk SUPPLIED" and I go to the installation directory that contains the hpygid16.inf file. Then it copies the drivers in the Windows\system32 directory. spool\W32X86\hpdeskjet_1110_serie72f8. (I know what are the names of the pilots, because I kept printing test page for the initial installation of printer). Once the Windows routine is finished, I get the message 'the printer driver was not installed', 'operation could not be completed. No printer icon is added to the control panel.

Routines help HP, HPPDDr.exe (printing and scanning doctor) and HPPIE.exe (printer and the installation wizard). The two recognize the printer but indicate that the printer is "not installed". The doctor print and scan indicates that there is a driver conflict. (btw, the Printer Wizard and install no longer works, it worked for me, a week ago, but now, it says it's for Windows 7 and later only.)

Any suggestions you might have for me to get this printer resettled would be appreciated.

Hi George51,

Thank you for your answer!

I recommend trying to create a new user account, and then start the computer in safe mode, be sure to connect to the new user account after and try the install again.

We'll see what happens!

  • HP Deskjet 1112: HP Deskjet 1112 does not print

Recently, I bought a HP Deskjet 1112. It prints very irregular and I can't seem to understand the problem.

Here's what I've tried so far:

    (1) turning and turn on the printer
    (2) turn the system off and on again spooler (using Windows + R, typing in services.msc, turn off the spooler, then by disabling the that and turn it back on)
    (3) uninstall and reinstall the software (this is what the printer Troubleshooter told me to do)

The convenience store told me that is missing a driver, and he also says that the printer and the computer communicate well. I wonder if it is a question of rope? In addition, I do not know what a driver is so I don't know how to check if it is operational.

Help, please. I'm running out of ideas for now thanks in advance!

  • Can't install Deskjet 3070 on WinXP SP3

I can't install the software for a new Deskjet 3070 B611a printer on a Windows XP SP3 desktop.  The printer is connected to a home network wireless and works very well on a laptop Win7 and laptop WinVista.  They communicate wirelessly to the network.  The desktop machine has a wired connection to the wireless router.  I tried the troubleshooting tools, but nothing seems to tell me what is the real problem.

It seemed to install OK on the office, the first time, but when I tried printing on the printer it says it couldn't communicate with him.  So I uninstalled the printer and am now in the process of re - install.  But now she even did not finish the installation process.  I tried to disable the firewall - no change.

Thank you, but I seem to have found a way around it.  I downloaded the software from the HP site and used instead of the Conference on disarmament.  But more importantly (I think), I have set up as a USB printer connected first, and then he changed the network connection.  This seems to have worked.  Thanks for your replies.

  • HP Officejet 4630 is unable to install the driver. Windows XP Sp3

    Good evening

I bought this printer earlier today and a few hours already on this issue. The box is not too far away, and the printer could come back soon!

The printer works fine, it was connected to my router, the light is always on, it says connected to the wifi system. Print the confirmation of wifi connection page, everything is 'Success'

My problem is that whenever I try to install the drivers, the research of setting up a printer that is connected but not yet installed. He notice my printer with the right ip address, then copy the driver of a couple files and then tells me it is unable to install the printer.

The current configuration is OJ4630_198, I found an older version and tried it but roughly the same results, except that before it stops the installation telling me he fails to do so, it asks me to locate the HP CD on my cd player, looking for a fax facility facility .png but fails a second later.

I am naïve enough, I tried to install it manually, but of course the Communication Port is a little tricky with a wire less printer.  I noticed there's a selection of "Create a new port" available in which appears an option named "Hp discovered Port Monitor (HP 4630 series)" which curiously is my new printer. Tried but it doesn't work.

I reset my router and printer, pc several times, tried to assign my printer to another port number, all ended with the same results. It connects to my wifi, but I can't seem to install the printer driver.  So my list of printers is empty atm...

    Thanks for any help,

    Very appreciated

    Well, problem solved.

It is indeed a Windows problem.

Thanks to SAM from live chat assistance, he noticed the HP Installer wasn't working, so we tried to manually install the printer with the tcp/ip Protocol and former driver windows Xp Announces (deskjet 990c) who worked...

I hope that everything is still functional. But Kudos to SAM for a helping hand.

  • Firefox supports Windows XP SP3?

Now that we are in April 2015, Will Firefox provide some updates and fixes for Windows XP SP3 users? Google made Chrome support XP until April 2015, I cannot afford to buy a new computer and am looking for a new browser for my Windows XP SP3 laptop.

Firefox is safe for the WinXP, using the same code in future versions of WIndows use, but because Windows XP does not receive security patches that Firefox is also safe that WinXP is safe. Slippery slope when you use an EOL operating system - and the web browser will not "fix" gaps with WinXP as well as's safety.

  • Satellite A100 WIndows XP SP3 - Corrupted registry?

Toshiba Satellite A100 WIndows XP SP3.

A few days ago I noticed that windows update has stopped working and I had network problems. New research has shown that the BITS service did not start and other services such as DCOM did not begin. Fix - It of MS failed with the error code 7255. I tracked the issue to a possible Trojan horse as the registry keys had been renamed % fystemroot %. I've edited the keys to any %, according to online tips and delivered to market successfully. This has not fixed the BITS issue but more googling suggested that I needed a parameters key that included the Systemdll=%systemroot%\windows32\qmgr.dll value in the BIT key in HKLM system.

I added this, but now when machine re boots I get a partial screen, no task bar, I can perform certain tasks by CTRL-ALT-DEL and the functioning of the Task Manager. I tried to cancel the changes by running regedit, but it does not work. None of the user accounts, even in the CMD has access to most of the services or the directories.

I have the Toshiba repair disk but it seems to want to do a complete re-install XP, while I have backups, it would be my last option because I still have to lose data.

See this Microsoft Knowledge base article:

+ How to start the System Restore tool by using the option of safe mode with the command prompt in Windows XP +.

If you have an original Win XP disk then you could start using this disc. The installation of Win XP supports a repair option that start you press the R key (when windows asks to press R).

Otherwise I put t see any other option as to reinstall new OS

  • I want to download Firefox 3.6 on Windows XP Sp3, I have installed Google Chrome and IE8. I have to keep the other two browsers after downloading Firefox 3.6?

My OS is Windows XP Sp3 IE is OEM. I downloaded Google Chrome recently. I upgraded to IE8 to IE9; that had problems. Having to constantly install security updates, etc. So, I downloaded Google Chrome 9; that I had no problem with him. I used Firefox with Facebook and liked its functions. Now, I've updated my Yahoo! e-mail that recommends Firefox 3.6 for the optimization of Yahoo! I want that FIREFOX 3.6 at my PRIMARY and ONLY browser. Can I safely uninstall Internet Explorer 9 and Google Chrome 9 of my Windows XP Sp3?

It is strongly advised to not uninstall IE as described in this article. You can uninstall Google Chrome if you want to.

To make Firefox default browser, see the instructions in this article.

  • Disable the menu bar, the option apears in my Firefox 3.6 X using Windows XP SP3, but not in the same version with Ubuntu 10.04

With the help of dual boot OS, Windows XP SP3 / Ubuntu 10.04. Even Firefox v3.16.13. In windows, using the button display in the menu bar, I can't turn off the menu bar. You use Ubuntu, the same option is available in "display".
I used "subject: Config" before, but I'm very careful and document all changes. Any time I need to access the menu items, using windows, I just use alt = _.

In versions of Firefox 3.6 you can hide the bar of menus under Windows and not Linux. In Firefox 4 beta current versions you can hide the Menu bar and have the greyish Firefox button instead and use F10 to temporarily show the Menu bar, so you need to wait or try the beta version .

  • Cannot be used at all on Windows XP SP3, IE8

    Hello

The latest version of what I used was 6.1.999.130. I have this problem for a month. When I try to connect using my old MSN login it says "sorry, we did not recognize your connection details".

The latest version crashes after launch.

    Windows XP SP3 32-bit

    Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702

I spent a month for this problem, but I couldn't. I installed several versions, and each of them was crushed except the version that I mentioned above, even if it generates a connection error. I reinstalled SP3 too.

Finally, the solution was running the command "netsh winsock reset" in the back of box and then reboot the PC.
