DeskJet 4360 does not turn off

My Deskjet 4360 said firstly there is a paper jam (there is no). Then the led 'curriculum vitae' continues to blink. When I try to turn off the printer, he died not. I have to unplug it. When I plug it again, it is always on and the resume light continues to blink. Can someone please?

I guess I feel better by reading your note, as my printer now suffers from the same fault.  It is a month.  I think it's just a dog of a printer... but hope someone will have a better answer than that we.

I saw the post with the same problem on an another DeskJet, but the solution was a replacement - my 4160 is out of warranty. I had the same indicators - the flashing of the button "we / off" and the "Summary" button flashing - but turn off the computer did not work for me. I unplugged the printer with the computer off and was still out of action. BTW, I also had an indication "disconnected" on the page of the HP Solutions.

I downloaded a fix has been described as "disconnected" problem and could make the printer work (used diagnosis HP download). But I can't even turn the printer off.

My hypothesis is that there is a fault in the wiring of the button or the internal logic chip that does not send the signal to the circuits 'power '. My 4160 is about 4 years old, but is a very good printer and I would like it to work.

I can work this way, the use of the power to the inactive printer won't break me - but I wonder if anyone has seen this problem.

    Thanks Shlomil.

I see by your post I'm unclear in my question (and looking at my message that I wasn't really clear). Despite this, my problem is now solved.

I had already healed the problem "flashing lights" and got the printer from the device by unplugging the power for 20 seconds, but the problem rest not being able to turn off the printer was the source of my question. I didn't have to unplug the USB, as it seems irrelevant to the 'shut down '. BTW, I had also deleted messages waiting in lines to print on two accounts on my machine at home. It seems that disconnection of power took care of the queue, because I first tried this deletion with no result.

I followed your suggestions and removed the USB first, then the power. I left it a full minute, then reconnected power and tested the switch panel "power" - it worked. I then reconnected the USB and re-tested, it worked.

Can I ask the forgiveness of any future readers of this thread, as well as yourself, for details - but I don't see the logic of the complete disconnect regarding the "power switch". Maybe it was because I gave her more time, maybe it was the 'double disconnect. " There seems to be no reason for that the simple "off / on" switch would care about the USB connection, but who knows what "evil lies at the heart of a computer".

In the introduction, I am experienced enough - although less so now these modern devices. My contacts with the computers date back to the programming of the machines IBM from 1961 and was still Assembly programming communication protocols in the 1980s. I encountered difficulties with the modern machine that is separated from the user by higher layers of level languages and operating systems developed by the committees.

I'll make a suggestion to any future readers of this thread, always unplug the key USB (or another data link) first - then put the plug. Reverse the sequence in the re - plug, power first, and then data - and test the feature before plugging the data binding. Also go and pour coffee or get a beer, before reconnecting the power. The 10-20 seconds normally required to take down the logic circuits may not be enough. (Summer, done this hundreds of times when I was in the company).

Finally, I'll mark this Accepted and click on congratulations (BTW, glad that's not kudo, the Greek word is not plural, something wrong understood by many sports commentators that "offer a kudo" to a player - that's the word for praise). But if someone think of a reason why it worked - that is, not the flashing lights, but the 'stuck' power button - I'd love to hear it.

  • Satellite PRO U300 does not turn off

    Hello

I am facing a problem for the last few days on my Satellite PRO U - 300 (31st PSU)...

The machine does not turn off and the power light stays on (blue LED) even after you have disabled. In fact, happened 3 - 4 times when I start the computer normally by pressing the power button / stop, it does not start and I noticed that the indicator was not extinguished even after + shut down +. Like any it is blocked! I have to finally, remove and reinsert the battery to start the laptop.

Some details of my pc are as under:

Version of the OS Microsoft® Windows Vista Business 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1
    BIOS Version V2.00
    Processor Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80 GHz

Can someone help me solve this problem. Is it possible that during the uninstallation of programs, any perticular driver file is also deleted?
    Thank you

    JITENDRA

    Hello

I don't know that you understand the indicator of power, but to me it sounds like AC Power LED and this LED is always on when the laptop is connected to the power supply.

Power on / off LED is probably what you mean (the other starting on the left).
Anyway, you turn off your laptop using a standard on the Start button?
Are you sure you want to use the Hibernate mode.

Believe me, the entire description here is pretty confusing to me. It may be that the laptop is turned OFF but power light is still on.

Have you installed something 4 days ago? Or deleted some important application?
Sorry, but it is not easy to say with certainty what the problem is here.

  • A Wi - Fi connection does not turn off correctly

When I turn off Wi - Fi in the quick toggle or settings page it does not turn off and it is left running. (I have not 'analysis always' either) I can see in the graph of the battery when I turn it off for a while it always shows the green bar on Wi - Fi. I had this problem on 5.1 on my 4g (2013) g bike and I don't always.

This seems to be a matter of google - I have it on non-Moto phones as well. The only thing to do is to restart with the Wifi turned off.

I don't remember if disable the Wifi in the precision of the GPS solves this problem or not. I decided to live with it for now.

    Hello

On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

In Device Manager, expand sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72183.exe

When the reinstallation of Chipset is finished, stop the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  • Light (switch) on my screen does not turn off. I have to shut my computer down several times a day to turn off the monitor.

Light (switch) on my screen does not turn off.  So, I shut down my computer and restart several times a day, because when I put it in mode 'sleep', he wakes to the top in a few minutes and will not fall asleep.  I could put a blanket on my screen when not in use, but I'd rather find a way to make it stay asleep when I tell him.

Light (switch) had already done once before and I was so worried that once I turned off the monitor that I would never get it new on... a bit short of money here, to buy a new monitor, but the next day, I pressed the power button with an additional downward pressure and I could so he could start working again (able to turn the market monitor).  It was about 3 weeks ago.  Now, the light stays green, unless I stop the whole computer.

Maybe my main problem is sleep mode, which removes the screen for like 2 minutes and then he wakes up to the top and is so rude when I myself and try to sleep, I just turn off the monitor everytime I put the computer to sleep.

Now, I can't turn off the monitor, except by turning off the computer.

  • My computer does not turn off, it crashes on closing.

My computer does not turn off, it crashes on closing.  I have to press the Start button, in the hold, and then after 20 seconds it turns off.  Often when I turn on the next time, it sometimes says Windows is not stopped successfully, but I know that all my programs had been closed.

My computer is Dell and my package is Windows Vista.  I have McAfee security set up and I bought Uniblue to try to help, but not joy.

I wouldn't use anything done by Uniblue, it does not work. It will make things worse.

I would like to uninstall Mcafee, and then use the removal tool to remove it completely. Install rather program AV from Microsoft.
