DeskJet f2280: acanning on deskjet f2280

I'm at the end of my home!  The document is very important to analyse today.  The printer installed, print very well.  Tried scanning and light just flashes.  Using windows 7.  Through troubleshooting and still getting nowhere.

Hello

I hope that you are able to make a COPY. If this isn't the case, then do not make a COPY and check if the problem persists.

If the COPY is fine, then please download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor www.hp.com/go/tools

If the COPY does not work, try the steps below...

  1. Turn the printer off. Unplug the power cord from the power source and to the printer.
  2. Wait 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (bypass the surge protector / power strip). And then to the printer.
  4. Press the power button on the printer. Wait until the printer displays the home screen.
  5. Now, open the scanner cover and then press start COPY - black.
  6. Check if the scan transport moves and it has light inside.
  7. If the transport scan does not move or if there is no light, then it might be a problem with the transport scan. Printer needs to be REPAIRED.

Please call the HP Technical Support for assistance.

    Hello

I have a DeskJet F2280, when my laptop Lenova with Win 10 printing all colors are OK, but when I plug the printer on my laptop HP with Win10 it prints blue colors in red, in all programs.

I tried to reinstall the driver but it back no help.

    Can anyone help?

    Arne

    Hi @Arne2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are having problems, print the correct colors, just the computer Windows 10. I want to help you solve this problem. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. Try another application, to see if you have the same results.

I wasn't sure if you meant that you have downloaded and installed the full feature software, or if you use the preinstalled Windows drivers. Here is the link to the full feature software: DJ_AIO_03_F2200_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_404 - 4.exe

If you haven't already done so.

You can check the settings of the print using this paper driver, HP printers - change the print settings (Windows 8).

Do not take into account the title.

You can also download and run the print and Scan doctor, he will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor?

Please let me know the results and if there is anything else I can help you. Thank you.

  • DeskJet F2280 all-in-one with Windows 7, does not analyze, was working fine

I have an all-in-one Deskjet F2280 my operating system is Windows 7, everything was perfectly working until recently I went to scan a document and nothing happened, the power button blinks for about 30 seconds then stops. I deleted the driver and downloaded the driver date several times but always the same problem - full while downloading I get a fatal error Code 2203, I tried the solutions proposed on the HP troubleshooting page but always end upward with the same problem. I can print & copy perfectly. Please can someone help?

    Hello swallowsretreat

When you mention that you have tried the HP troubleshooting page you were talking about article "fatal error" error 2203' (MSI 2203) displayed for HP Software Installation in Windows? ' " Otherwise I have suggestion follows first to try to resolve the first fatal error.

Fatal error MSI message relates to the Microsoft Software install (MSI). As such they problem may be related to more that the software you are trying to install and be linked to the operating system.

Let me know if you continue to receive the error when installing even after the rest of the article for fatal error 2203. Also have you tried to install the printer on another computer?

    Hi @wheeliebin

This download includes the HP Deskjet (advanced imagery and product features) Software Suite and the driver. If you only want the print (without the Software Suite of Deskjet) driver, it is available as a separate download named "HP Deskjet basic driver".  -DJ_AIO_03_F2200_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe

I hope that's what you're looking for. I hope this helps.

  • HP Deskjet F2280 all-in-one: color print images saved offline problems.

When I print an image that I downloaded from the internet, the colors do not conform to the original (a lot of blue in there).  I printed directly from the printer itself, and that's fine.  I changed the color cartridge, did the cleaning, checked, I had download the correct software and tried to open the image in paint, but still not good.  I changed the setting to fast eco who, although not the bright, the image itself so more true to color.  Can anyone help please.

Hi @anniegwenand welcome to the Forums of HP.

I see that when you print images that you save from the internet, the colors are not what you expect and the printed output is more blue than the original. Because when you print directly form the printer (copy) the output is as expected, I suspect that the issue has to do with the print settings, a driver or a program that you are printing from.

I suggest to use the following steps to remove the printer from the device and printers and the driver from the properties of the server. This will help isolate the driver.

    1. in the folder "devices and printers".

    2. choose "print server properties.

    • Win XP - with no printer selected, click 'File' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows Vista - with no printer selected, press 'Alt' and then click 'file' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows 7/8, 8.1 and 10 -select any printer in the "Devices and printers" folder and click on "Print server properties" above.

    3. click on the "Drivers" tab at the top of the window "properties of the print server.

    4. choose the printer that you want to uninstall, and then click 'remove '.

    5. choose "Remove driver only.

    6. the next screen will give a warning, letting you know that the removal of the driver package will remove it from the system. Click 'Yes' to say are you sure you want to do.

If documents are stuck in the spooler to print, you see an error, cancel all documents waiting in the print queue or try restart the spooler to print, and then try to delete the driver from 'Print server properties' again. If she will not always remove the sachet, restart the computer and the printer should correct this error "in use" and allow the driver to be removed.

Once the driver is then deleted, open start > all programs > HP folder > folder printer > HP Setup and software (or the icon of the printer). The installation screen and the software opens and you can click on connect a new printer.

If the fingerprints still don't match what you see on the screen, try to print in a different program. For example, instead of save an internet image, print the image directly from the browser. In bold, what brings the cause to wonder, when you save, you are printing on photo paper? Have you compared the print quality between an image printed on ordinary paper and a image on photo paper? If you use photo paper, and that's the only time where the output is more blue than expected, please try different photo paper. I know this sounds unlikely, but I seen the book be causing more time than you probably imagine.

Let me know the results of your efforts at this point, and we will proceed if other troubleshooting is necessary. If something I suggested the problem, please click Accept button Solution below to report your post as solved.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing back on your part.

  • HP Deskjet F2280 All in One – software installation error

    Hello again Spencer,

Still all ok therefor, decided to order a CD for the future, as early or late I'm going to make a Windows 7 re - install, and it might be useful to have a 2nd available installation option.

Not too much here recently I spent the time to recover my files and videos from the botched backup "Todo" restore thing.  These guys could, of course, learn something about the customer you support!

Still, more or less back to normal here, with the added bonus of my printer happily working away correctly

It was a humorous adventure to be sure that Spencer, I was never a waste with a piece of hardware, it is sitting there, looking at you saying "fix me" lol

I'm sure it was some sort of registry problem, it's such a nightmare in these "hives" it might have been something nice corrupt just one point your software to continue... Weird, but it's Microsoft

My game strategy is based on the protocols of Gollum... FURTIVELY and then sneaking more... lol

    ... Stealth... sneaky sneaky...

In an MMO, it is best to remember the old adage "no plan survives contact with the enemy."

Thanks for all the help and ideas, was much appreciated.

I hope you get bread or cakes for all the work!

I'm going to ding the SOLVED button on this then.

Keep smile Spencer, it's going to make everyone wonder what you've been too lol

    Best wishes,

    Mick C.
