Desktop computer does not display the computers on the network after waking from sleep.

Both computers work on Vista Home Basic. Problem started after computers, the router and a DSL modem has been turned off and unplugged. After the awakening of the day before, the Office would display only the router and the laptop, but the way that he could not establish. Initially, a reboot of the desktop computer has solved the problem.

Reset and re-installed the router. The three elements of the network were visible after the start, but IE 8 soon at the opening of the homepage. Again, after "standby" mode, only the router and the laptop displayed.

After additional restart, only the router is displayed. The laptop shows all three elements and accessing office files.

Suggestions?
Mike

Hi Syed,

I did a full reset/reinstall the router, carefully following the manufacturer's instructions. Both computers are displayed in each of their respective lists of network, even after waking up from sleep mode.

This issue is resolved.

Thank you

Mike

  • After you install Internet Explorer 9 (Beta) desktop computer does not display a date on the calendar

Original title: after the installation of the Board explorer9 will not display calendar date

tried to re install calendar but still no date display

    Hey flatcoat4247,

O are you talking about the gadget?

O also, do you mean to say the version of Internet Explorer 9 (Beta)?

This behavior is most often observed if the XML registration is missing in the system. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

    a. close Windows Sidebar. To do this, right-click on the Sidebar icon in the Notification area, and then click exit.

    b. open an elevated command prompt window.

    To do:

    i. click on Start > all programs.

    II. click Accessories.

III. right click on invite and then click run as administrator.

    c. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press ENTER:

    regsvr32 msxml3.dll

    Similarly, run these commands:

    regsvr32 scrrun.dll

    regsvr32 jscript.dll

If the registration was successful, you will see the message DllRegisterServer in succeeded to for each executed command.

    d. open Windows Sidebar (sidebar.exe) and check if the problem is resolved.

    See if it works.

  • Desktop computer does not meet the entry on PCoIP

I saw configuration for testing, and everything seems to work except when I try to connect to the virtual machines using PCoIP.  Microsoft RDP works very well, resizes the appropriate office, etc.  Trying to connect through PCoIP results in the next login page, but it will not accept any interaction through the client view.  Another strange thing is that the login page is with windows and does all of the same screen in full screen is enabled.  Here's how things are configured:

-5 workstations running on Win XP x 64 SP2 (see agent installed on each workstation)

-Desktop computers are part of a pool of manual, no persistent

    -View connection server is a Server 2003 x 32 R2 SP2 VM

-View Composer is installed in vCenter (4u1 (v)

-All virtual machines are running on top of ESX 4u1

I tried to connect with PCoIP from several different computers (Windows 7, XP) and all have the same question.  Any ideas on what could happen?

Sorry, Windows XP 64-bit is not supported at this time. The versions of operating system is listed in the available.

  • My Windows Vista computer does not see the network or printers that are connected to a computer using Windows XP

before that norton was installed, it worked, but since Norton was installed AND DELETED, Vista will not see XP or its printers.

I have checked the firewall and they took two computers, but still no luck.

    Hello

    Did you change your computer?

This problem occurs if the (LLTD) link layer topology discovery Responder component is not installed on the Windows XP computer.

Network card in Windows Vista makes network diagrams of connections between network devices that can be used to troubleshoot connectivity issues. Network map uses a discovery protocol called Link-Layer Topology LLTD (Discovery) that queries other devices on the network to determine how the network is organized.

Windows Vista includes the software components that implement the LLTD protocol. For other devices on the network to display on the map, they must activate a discovery protocol that can meet the demands of mapping from the Windows Vista-based computer.

I suggest you to install the update on windows XP.

  • Satellite L40-139: new graphics driver is causing the problem after waking from sleep

I have a three month old Toshiba Satellite L40-139 (PSL40E) with 1 GB of RAM with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed. This laptop worked very well for me for the basic headquarters far tasks, and I would have no problem recommending.

In the last days I've updated the software and drivers from the Microsoft Update web site.

Since the update driver Mobile Intel(r) 945 Express Chipset Family (to version 7.14.10.1350, dated October 18, 2007), the screen resolution at 800 x 600 after awakening from the sleep state. The only way I found to fix it is to restart the PC.

Other articles published on the web, I understand that this particular driver (Mobile Intel(r) 945 Express Chipset Family driver 7.14.10.1350 version) has caused many other problems on a variety of hardware and software platforms.

Does anyone have a definitive solution for Satellite L40?

    I looked at four options.

    1. let the new installed driver and restart Windows each time after waking up from sleep mode. Rather, I must not do this.

    2. using the Restore Point created by Windows Update before the update of the driver, roll back to an earlier time. This seems to be a good course if it works.

3 download an older version of the driver and reinstall it. I don't know which version would work but note that others have had success with the 7.14.10.1280 version. I guess a similar version could be included in the driver Package that can be downloaded from Toshiba Europe site, but have heard that the time required to download this software can exceed ten hours and am therefore reluctant to try.

    4. the fourth option is not really possible. I should be able to "Roll-Back" the driver in Device Manager, but the button is disabled.

Although only a minor problem, it is very irritating and I would like to address them without causing other problems. Does anyone else have this problem? Someone has fixed it successfully?

    Hello Peter

If I understand correctly, you use your usual laptop for daily work and you don't need any computer high-performance notebook. If I'm right I have to say that you should be happy if the laptop works well and stable.

I don't really see any reason why you wanted to update chipset driver. In any case, you should try to roll back the BONES of time earlier and I hope everything will work again. There is absolutely no risk, and you can test it.

    Please post the result.

    Hello

If your router not booking IP use.

Otherwise, configure the computers with static IP addresses.

Then go to sharing and permissions.

    Maybe this can help.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted

Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .
