Desktop HP Pavilion p6-2104ed: video card - GTX 750 problems

Hello

Recently the video card that came with my desktop pc grilled (7570 Radeon), and I bought a new GTX750.

This because the suppliers suggested HP to the Netherlands wanted to charge me 360 euros for a video card replacement 3 years, which seems a bit silly because I can get a better one for only 100 euros.

Unfortunately, the new video card does not work with the current BIOS. My system BIOS is from 2012 (even if the time stamp in the page of drivers before the update said his starting in 2014). It seems that, like many other HP computers this bios does not support the full uefi videocard, I bought.

I see several options, but would like input on what way to go.

Is there an update of compatible bios for my system other than the one on the page of the driver (who says its from 2014, but in reality is 2012)

Otherwise, what video card would you propose that would work on my system?

My bios version:

BIOS version / Date FRIEND 7.16, 23/03/2012

My now broken (except the radeon card) complete system features

http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c03280789

Semi-resolu!

Although eachother dislikes the biosses from the video card and the desktop computer, you can still get around it by pressing alt + F10 when booting and wait about 30 seconds for 3 beeps. After that, it continues to the windows login screen.

Startup takes a little longer now, but the video card works great and has significantly improved the performance of the hour game

Assuming that HP doesn't bother to update the bios (since they do not have 2012, about a year after the release of the desktop computer), this seems the best solution other than choosing a lesser videocard not uefi

First, change the BIOS settings that you changed will do more harm than good.  Change these settings back

  • Pavilion Elite PHE 450 t PC: intermittent Desktop closed, noise from the video card fan.

My office has developed a problem in which she stops 10-15 minutes after a cold start.

I have a Pavilion Elite HPE 450 t running Windows 7 64.  I tried dusting and open the box, but it keeps happenings.

In addition, my video card, an NVIDIA GeForce315 G 1 fan makes noise.

    I have 2 questions:

1 ¿is this fan an item repairable, or I have to replace all?

Can 2 how I check the power supply to see if it is not part of the problem?

Is there there tensions I can measure to see if its OK?

My query related to food, is that I run a couple of terabyte drives out of the office, and I wonder if I'm loading down the power.

I would appreciate comments, suggestions, etc.  Thanks in advance.  Thank you folk being here to help that old man.

    Greetings,

It seems to be a possible thermal problem with the graphics card fan.

The fan on the graphics card work? Remove the side panel to check. Yes, you can remove the side panel while the system is turned on.

Do not touch internal components. Just inspect.

The Geforce 315 is a riser. I've never replaced graphics card fans, but I guess it's possible.

A power failure is always a possibility.

Eliminate food, the more reliable is to temporarily connect a good diet known to the system.

The system was stable before the thermal emission of fan noise and possible? That should remove a power supply problem.

You can replace the graphics card. Your PC has many options that were available for purchase.

Please see here. Select "Options of material", then scroll down to 'Graphics '.

    See you soon!

  • Pavilion a6530f: what video card installed works for Windows 10 and a 300W power supply?

I have a6530f a desktop Pavilion PC.  I am currently running Windows 7 and am interested in upgrading to Windows 10.  I get and error message when you try to install the W10.  "NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430".  I think I need to improve my video card.  Can what video card I install that will work for Windows 10 and is rated for the power supply 300W in my lap?  I'm not very techie.

Many of these inexpensive graphics cards for Newegg.com should work with Windows 10. Just watch for those who require a 300 watt power supply system or less.

Drivers for these cards may be on the page drivers GeForcefunds. Simply select the card in the drop-down list or use the "Auto-Detect".

  • Pavilion p6 - 2127c: video card Compatible hdmi for Pavilion p6 - 2127c

I have a Pavilion p6 - 2127c in my conference room, desktop computer connected to a TV 50 "flat on the wall. I would like to connect using an HDMI cable, but there is no HDMI port. What type of video card should I buy that is compatible with the office and for the videos and presentations (no game)? Thank you in advance for your help!

    Cmann225, welcome to the forum.

Here is a video card that should work with your computer.  However, you should check ASUS website to find out what power supply unit (PSU) is necessary.  It indicates that 75W is required, but it is the power supplied by the PCI Express x 16 slot.  This means that there is no need an additional power connector.  The power supply of the computer is 300W.  Also, check to make sure that the card does not require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS with ASUS.

  • Pavilion p7-1421 video card help.

I recently bought a Pavilion p7-1421 pc which has an AMD A8-5500 Quad Core CPU and integrated graphics Radeon HD 7560, running Windows 8. I used a Radeon HD 5770 card to my old pc and wanted to use it in my new since the integrated graphics card can't start some games online for @# $%. So... I swapped the OEM power supply for a 650w, disabled the onboard graphics via Device Manager, plugged the HD 5770 card into the PCI-E slot, the power cord plugged in and everything started working. To turn the pc back on, I get the thing BEEP/BLINK 6... (which means theres a video card problem)... and so I start trying to figure what is wrong. I had somehow flashing/beeping to stop, but my monitor does not receive a signal. IM pretty much stuck at this point and don't know what the problem is or how to get the map to work. I don't think that throwin a HD 5770 card into a platform that came with 7560 HD integrated graphics would be the question, or is it? If anyone can throw some advice my way, id really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Hello

What specific video card brand and model number (including the amt of VRAM on board)?

It can be a problem and secure boot UEFI environment, BIOS firmware.  Some manufacturers have put the code in their BIOS vdeo cards that allow them to deal with the issue and others have not.

It's something along a number of forums and blogs are reviewing internet. Check your video card manufacturer website and the forum to see if others have similar issues the same vec card you have.

    Warhound, welcome to the forum.

The first thing you have to do is to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 250W.  Most recent most of mid-level video cards requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  I love Corsair products.  I normally recommend at least 500W.

Here are the system requirements for Battlefield 3.  (GTX 560 and AMD 6950) recommended graphics cards require 500W to work properly.

    Hello

Yes, it is possible. Please check this list to find out the card fits your budget. Please also note do not buy card that needs high power (approximately 10w - 15w more your existing card should be ok) otherwise you will have to buy a new power supply.

UPDATE: the "BIOS error" was in fact the video card that failed due to repeated overheating. The repair shop, replace the video card and repaired the overheating problem (I don't ask how), and my computer is like new.

For those who have a similar with their computer, my error "BIOS" problem (as it is coded by flashing lights of my computer) turns out to be a video card has failed.

The repair shop, said that what happens when computers overheat frequently, which mine did. Thus, they have changed the video card and solved the overheating problem, and my computer is in working condition.
