Desktop HP Pavilion pb-2310 - Internet form questions

My client has a brand new Pavilion pb-2310 running Windows 8 and rarely goes online. Recently, however, he tried to make purchases online through web forms complex, for example at Air France trying to make travel arrangements. Questions that there occur regardless of site web and browser. Although printed on the box of his computer says he is entitled to phone support free of charge for the first year after purchase, I was unable to find a phone number for support anywhere - without fees or other. Not on the box, booklet supplied with the PC and not to any of the sites web support not in the warranty and technical support. So I came here to ask for help - by someone who can give me the phone number, or by a person who recognizes this problem and knows how to guide me in troubleshooting/fixing.

Any time, he went to a web site where he needs to use a form - fill in the form fields, click buttons, etc. - things start well. It fills in the fields on the form without problem. Then it is time to click by 'next', 'continue' or 'send' button and everything grinds to stop. The screen and the form are block, it can capture is no longer in the fields, nor the commands buttons do not work. There is no separate window that is open and is perhaps hidden behind the browser window, he worked in.

He seems to think that it is a question of java or javascript, because often, in the status bar, it will see the associtated to javascript with the button or the field command. Normally, it uses Google Chrome, but when we went to IE 9, issues appeared. These problems do not occur on his laptop, just on this new HP Pavilion Desktop PC.

If anyone is aware of this problem, or can indicate a number of phone support or live chat, we both would be very grateful.

Hi Lynda,

Try to run version 10 Internet Explorer in compatibility mode.

  1. On-screen 'metro' Windows 8 click on desktop (lower-left).  Alternatively, use the Windows key + D.
  2. Now start Internet Exployer.
  3. Right mouse click on the bar very high and select menu. , You should now see a selection of tools will appear.
  4. Click on tools and go down to the compatibility view settings.
  5. Enter the web site that you want to run in compatibility mode.  See the image below.  Now try to access the site using IE from the desktop.

If the above doesn't work then not review this publication articlefor another tip.

Also, I was wondering about the differences between this and the generic version from Intel's?  It is very difficult to answer.  HP has their motherboards manufactured according to their own specifications.

The only presence that HP has on this are Admins and Mods. Otherwise, none of us works for HP.  However, it is not accurate to what said you.  The computer is certainly not a gaming computer.  I suggest looking for the system requirements for the games you want to play and comparing them with the specifications.

    Hello @shamrock838,

I understand that your desktop HP Pavilion 500 - c60 PC does not support the biggest Compact Flash Memory Card and you are curious as to whether or not you can install an USB multicard Reader which accepts the memory card see First of all, you have reason 7 - in1 media card reader did it installed does not supported CF memory card, but it supports the following cards:

    • Digital safe™ (SD)
    • Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
    • SDXC
    • Memory Stick
    • Memory Stick Select
    • Memory Stick PRO
    • Memory Stick MagicGate

I don't see why you can't connect the 4 - in1 USB multicard reader you have. Until the operating system detects and installs, you should be fine.

  • How to connect desktop (HP Pavilion Slimline s5220f) PC to the TV?

I would like to connect this PC to desktop (HP Pavilion Slimline s5220f) on television.  What should I do to make it work? I would be grateful if you could give me an idea or a suggestion. Thank you very much.

When you ask for help, it is better to provide the brand and model of all hardware items (TV, HDTV, screen, etc.) in your application.

Your computer has only a VGA output. VGA is a bad choice to use when connecting to an HDTV. Please consider more an adapter USB-to-video, as EVGA UV + UV39 to connect your TV to your computer.

Your could try the following HP display information when you test the 6450 and see if it solves your problem.

  • The upgrade of the video for my desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210y PC

Yes, I have two questions about my PC.

First, on the technical card for desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210y PC, it shows a power 300 watt yet looking at the minimum requirments for the video card from the factory it require a 400 Watt power supply and the fact of the data sheet does not show the power suppy manufacturer he was wondering has.

Yes, the power is 300 watts. Minimum 400 watts are for full power to retail graphics cards. The map provided by HP was custom designed to meet the requirements of power weaker and is is not the same as a retail card. HP has traditionally used Bestec and Lite-on original UPE.

To install a gaming grade graphics card, you will need to replace your power supply. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are highly recommend and forum favorite. Further, these power supplies are only slightly larger than a block of power SUPPLY HP stock and are known to adapt. Power supply Idleness will put you back on the $50 - $75. MSI GeForce GTX 2 960 GB of games PhysX PCI-Express 3.0

If I can its large if not what is the most recent card I can buy

I play Battlefield4 and I want to play with max resolution

help me - thanks in advance

    Best regards, Torben

    Lazyboy_dk, welcome to the forum.

The concern I have with the MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 2 GB PhysX PCI-Express 3.0 is its length.  It's 10.5 ".  It is perhaps too long for the space.  In addition, it may require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  You can contact MSI Tech Support to see what they have to say.

Most of the newer cards require UEFI, also.  The last card EVGA does not for UEFI was TG 640.

  • Graphic/video card [REPLACEMENT / UPGRADE] on the desktop HP Pavilion - help

    I have the following:

    Desktop HP Pavilion Elite m9152p

Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (updated 11/2009)

The video card seems to have gone out and tried the following:

    Operating system reinstallation

Uninstalled & drivers Reinstalled & restoration

Before attempts above, no changes had been made to software or hardware only led to the same result: the video seems to be fine, and then it crashes and hangs and doesn't eventually having a hard reboot how, the computer loads the integrated video/graphic card.

I need to buy a replacement video/graphics card, but I'm not sure what card I need to be aware of, or that my computer can handle as a replacement and maybe a possible upgrade (not necessary) - any help in this regard would be most appreciated.

    Thank you!

    I think it's a good choice.

The comments seem positive most of the time that the fan seems to be quiet.

I don't know if your previous card had HDMI.

When you install your new video card, it can disable your sound system because of the HDMI audio chip on the video card.

If you do not lose your integrated audio system, after you install the video drivers, reboot the machine, go into BIOS, find the onboard audio setting. It can be set to Auto or disabled. Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the configuration when you have made the change and again when you exit the BIOS.

Upon restart, you will have your on-board audio back.

    Impatience back on your part.

I have a desktop HP Pavilion 500-223w with integrated graphics card intel. I want to install a 3d ready geforce graphics card in the pci expansion slot. How can I disable the integrated video card? I went to the bios Setup, but has not seen something on the video card.

    Hello:

When you add a video card in this model, the integrated graphics card is automatically disabled as it is on most of today's desktop PCs.

If your PC came with the factory W10, you need to change two other BIOS settings.

See this guide for what settings change... This applies to every PC comes with Windows 8 or newer installed.
