  If your computer is no longer under warranty, I suggest you find a computer repair shop known locally to see what they have to say.  It shouldn't be too difficult for them to fix it.

• HP 520-1165a TouchSmart desktop PC, touchscreen random takes control of the cursor

  When you "touch"touch screen, a small diamond seems to take the place of the mouse cursor, correct."

  I have a problem with my PC, if the cursor of the mouse is in use, the touch diamond screen will be "pop up" and take control of the cursor at random intervals, interupting what I was doing at the time, or automatically the link located in the center of the screen at the time of opening.

  The "pop up" diamond is always in the same 2 places, for the most part, dead center of the screen, but occasionally also appears at the bottom left of the screen by opening the menu of windows automatically.

  I had this same problem about a year ago and was covered by my warranty from suppliers, but it took 6 weeks for delivery - repair - return of my PC and I don't want to wait that long again. They had to reinstall my whole system and all information, downloads etc... have been lost. Fortunately I got the majority of my backup files, but it was still a pain to restore all when it's obviously a problem with this PC.

  I love my HP PC and no other issues with performance. It's my player of social media, my music player, my movie player, my full entertainment system, and this insidious problem is purely a gene.

  I very rarely use the touchscreen function, is possible to dissengage this feature to possibly fix my problem?

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

• TouchSmart 520: The computer is stuck on the opening of the screens.

  It will be a little long because I try to give as much detail as possible. I have a desktop HP Touchsmart 520. The other day, I want to run an OS based on Linux from a USB key. I did once before, so I did what I did the last time. I unplugged, take off the back, then removed the hard drive, then plugged the USB key. I was hoping that since I didn't drive hard in, the computer would then operate the stick because of the boot order. He did bring up the screen of the OS, but gave me an error on failure. I turned it off and then return and go to the bios to change the configuration. I found the USB from the menu, but couldn't move, so I tried to disable the first option for the hard drive. I plugged the USB back in, but it does not still work, so I tried to drive hard back. Something happened somewhere in all this, the computer froze, so I tried to hit different buttons to see if I could get an answer, but nothing, so I cut. When I cut back on, I can't no longer to enter the BIOS. The usual HP screen comes up and says press ESC to enter on the start menu, and if I hit him in the first second coming he will take me to a black screen that has my computer on this subject record, starting with the processor type, processor speed, etc. (if I hit any button in a moment the computer hangs on the HP screen). This black screen is as far as I can go and the computer always crashes here, no matter what button I push, but it is said in the lower right corner of the activity for any button I pressed on, for example if I press F2 on the HP screen, it will go to the black screen with my characteristics and in the lower right It will read Diagnostics; If I am pressing F10, it will do as above but read the configuration. He never goes beyond this screen. I know that's not my hard drive, because he wasn't in when it started happening, nor is it possible that a virus has been on the USB port, as it's a BONE checked and I do not use this stick for something else.   seems that there is a corruption of the bios. First try to make BIOS clear CMOS.   This is the original factory specifications for your desktop HP TouchSmart 610-1100uk. According the specs, I don't see a reference to this model supports LightScribe. In addition, it is not a driver or software for LightScribe registered to the drivers of HP 610-1100uk TouchSmart desktop PC page. While it is not clear evidence that your model does not support LightScribe, simply said that it most likely does not.

  In fact the Touchsmart from HP computer you have is not supported for Windows 8.1. You have it backwards.

  You may need to reinstall Windows 8 to regain use of the tactile function of your PC all in one.

  In theory, this would indicate that you could install an appropriate type MXM card. In practice, this slot machine is designed for use in HP CTO models that come from the factory with the card already installed. Models with the card already installed have a completely different heatsink which hosts the MXM card. Your model has a heater which cannot recognize the cooling of a MXM card needs.

  In addition, the cards must be from HP and are expensive. Also, you may be unable to correct the source radiator / fan assembly to use with the MXM card.
