  I wonder if anyone can help. have never used a forum before bare with me if I don't give all the details, but the basics are as follows:
  Windows update two days ago and since then freecell, solitary and lonely spider are black and white.  Mahjong, purble place etc. are fine colors and graphics are ok.
  put online to update the graphics drivers and computer says that all drivers are up-to-date.  also turned windows has on and outside and checked freecell etc. on games and uninstalled and reinstalled. no luck. "computer is a dell desktop computer and is about six years old, but I regularly updated and try to"keep a tidy ship.
  I hope someone can help
  or if I've lost games can I download a version of freecell, who has an option to restart game

  The system restore solved my problem and after that I had to do it AGAIN today, I went to Windows Update and changed the settings so that the updates would not automatically download and install on my computer.  It is certainly a problem with one of the Microsoft updates.  I just hope that they recognize that one and let us know as soon as POSSIBLE!  I'll be very selective on what updates, I am hosting in the future!

  I had automatic updates and at 03:00 it will download new updates whenever they come. I guess that 2/10 have been installed the updates that came out and when it automatically restarted my computer, everything was normal on the login screen, but once Windows started, 3-4 seconds and it went black and white. It is not my monitor or my video card, I tried 3 OTHER monitors on this and I own two myself. I need to restore both before the update was installed for my screen to return to the color... Anyone else having the same problem or knows what is happening or how to fix? Would appreciate the help. Thank you!

  There are a few things to try, that might turn back to normal settings.

  In display settings, try to change the option of colors up to medium (16 bit) and see if that makes a difference. Change to when. You can also change the resolution settngs. Sometimes just by changing the settings can fix the little quirks.

  Have you tried to update video card driver? If this isn't the case, that give a try. You can use the automatic update via the Device Manager, or just go on display card manufacturer's website and download the latest version of the driver.

  This is not a problem of IE.  Most likely a symptom of the use of the OS high-contrast mode accessibility option.   For example try to press LeftAlt + LeftShift + print to pass this parameter.

  Some of you have a problem during development of black and white photos into LR 4.4 x 64? When I do this and say convert in b & W photo in the develop module, it has a slightly yellow tint - especially seen in the highlights. But then I export and see te in the observer of FastPicture has no yellow tint and is correctly displayed as b & w photo. I uploaded the same photo in PS CR 7.4 and the conversion it is OK, the pictures have no yellow tint.

  Does anyone now what may be the reason for the bad photos n & b display in LR 4.4?

  Have a yellowish histogram in what should be a grey area is proof positive that your monitor profile is corrupted. You should get a hardware calibrator and calibrate your monitor. In the meantime, simply as a stop-gap measure, you can change your default profile to sRGB.

• blue screen and a loud noise after I installed a game

  Please can someone tell me why, my computer froze after downloading a trial version of a game from Big Fish Games, then a blue screen with white lettering came to tell me something about the stop and he was accompanied by this horrible vibrating noise!   Have you tried right clicking on the shortcut to the AutoCad program, or the .exe and select "Run As Administrator"?  Perform, even if your user name is an administrator.

  We would like to know, do you receive a correct error message or error code when it freezes?

  As the game is not also installed in the Compatibility Center, you can try to run the game in compatibility mode. Steps to follow:

  i. right click on the game (on the .exe file)

  II. click on properties

  III. click on the Compatibility tab

  IV. Select run this program in compatibility mode and select windows vista

  While watching a movie saved/tv show with Windows Media Player/VLC or any other media software, when a night scene or any situation where there is an important subject of black screen, my screen becomes progressively more dark, until it becomes completely black and then, after a brief moment begins to clear up, but is still much darker than it should be.   Does not need to update the Nvidia driver because it is up to date and could not update the Viewsonic that Windows only recognizes as "PnP monitor" generic monitor, even if it is described as Viewsonic in the Nvidia Control Panel. Did restore the default values in the video section of the Nvidia Control Panel, and that seems to have solved the problem.

  Install these updates of 2 drivers and then restart the pc and try again see if the problem occurs.

  Another thing that I recommend is trying to reset your settings to default monitor by pressing the MENU button and finding the option defauult of zero/factory reset.

  You can also restore the default settings in the Nvidia Control Panel by clicking on restore by default in most sections.
