Desktop PC: cannot hear any sound from my computer
My sound does not work in Windows 10. No sound at all from YouTube videos, music and media players, Windows system sounds, etc.
Have you tried a few different devices (headphones/speakers)? There could be a problem with the hardware with one of these devices. Also, keep in mind that most of the computers do not have built-in speakers, you don't need to have a connected device to hear anything.
If you have already tried a few different pairs of headphones and speakers, the first step in troubleshooting I recommend is the easiest: restart your computer. Sometimes a single application can take control of your audio device and do not let all the other apps use, but you can release this control by restarting.
Here are a few others not you can try:
- Run the audio troubleshooting tool in Windows
- Make sure that your device is connected to the appropriate port on the computer, and if you use powered make speakers you they are plugged into a working outlet
- Set the default audio device to make sure that your computer sends the audio output of the device
- If your computer comes with 10 Windows installed, you can restore the driver of its origin in the HP Recovery Manager, or to update the driver through Device Manager
- If you upgraded your computer to Windows 10, you can update the audio driver in Device Manager
These solutions and much more are explained in detail in this document: HP-no sound from the computer desktop.

The turntable is fitted with a driver, which I installed it, but any square I check in audio controls, I can't hear a record playing. I also have a USB tape device that converts audio cassettes, but the same thing happens. I am running Windows XP with an integrated sound card.
Make sure that the USB turntable is selected as default recording device in the Windows mixer, and possibly in the embedded audio devce sofoware.
Ditto when you use the device USB K7.
See you soon,.

I hear any sound from my computer.
I'm running a Windows Vista PC with speakers external SigmaTel (plugged into the appropriate decision-making 1/8 green) which worked perfectly during the last years. But now, when I try all the sounds I hear no audio. When I try to listen to something on Windows Media Player, I get an error (C00D11B1 or 80040154). I haven't downloaded or changed recently to cause drastic changes to the speakers or sound I remember well. I know that the material is not defective, because I checked all connections and even tested a pair of headphones that does not work either. I tried the speakers in the rear standard outlet and plugged into the audio jack on the front of the processor with no luck. I already looked at the topics in technical support from Microsoft and community support and I even ran the automated Microsoft FixIt program that has not detected any problem as well. I suspect that there is something wrong with the computer, it is installed the software, the audio ports plugin or something like that. I checked everything I could think of: the essential, the installed driver and management of devices in my control panel. I'd appreciate any help for the problem, thank you!

Satellite U305-S7467 - cannot hear any sound
For about a month now, I have not had all the sounds.
I noticed when I try to use Adobe Flash Player on websites like youtube, news Web sites, etc.. I have volume on programs like itunes. I recently tried to update my driver realtek and it does not solve the problem. I also followed some advice from support of Adobes forum and none of these solutions have solved the problem. The last thing I've tried is the thing "you can't put the computer to sleep, just in hibernation mode", and yet I'm having the same problem.
Does anyone has solved this problem in the past? I even noticed by using Windows Media Player, but it's on and off using this software.
