Desktop shortcut icons have disappeared when I tried to boom, them. How to make a comeback?
How can I get the shortcuts to pin to the XP desktop screen?
All of the shortcuts that were on my xp desktop screen disappear when I was trying to make the icons smaller. I clicked of course something (?) to make this happen, but have not figured out what that is or how to fix. Shortcuts are currently in the Desktop file folder

Sorry if this is obvious to most of you, but I'm rather confused by the latter. I decided to download Premiere Pro 15 CC last night and went to bed to do it's thing. Today I find just points mark on my dock for CC Pro Prem Prem Pro CC 14 bar and Premiere Pro 15 does not appear to be installed. I need first Pro CC I have a number of old projects, I was still working in this program. When I go to install first pro 15 he tells me that all previous versions will be deleted! I'm missing something. Probably of people need old project to be accessible and there to be worked in older versions of software?
So I guess what I'm asking, is: if I install CC15 Pro Prem will be my original version and Prem CC14 Pro reappear or they are gone forever? I don't see where I can download another copy of the original first Pro CC.
Thanks for your time. Kinder, james

Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately, the process you gave me failed, because he said that I had no permission to check in the Notepad file. BUT he has given me hope and showed me in the right direction. I had worked at this for 4 days now. I learned a lot through the links you sent me and I could finally get it fixed.

None of the icons are on the main screen of my office, how to make their comeback
original title: a friend set a default language of English canada to American English, now none of my office, the icons are on the main screen, how can I get back them- It seems that all my desktop icons are in a folder and when I click on an ex: banks in line, and click on move in or make shortcut, it is another in the same folder.

Try to return to the English Canada and see if the desktop icons reappear. If they do, when the default language has changed he assumed you have created a new 'profile' perhaps and you see profile this profile's empty office. Alternatively, if a new profile has been created, open the old profile (person) when you open a session.

I have several icons on my desktop. A few days after I restarted my computer it is a small white page on all of my desktop shortcuts. The right image for the shortcut is always behind it, but this page of small white is very annoying. I tried to change the shortcut icon image and production of new shortcuts, all with the same problem. Any ideas?

Volume shortcut icon has disappeared from the Vista tray

Seems silly, but I can't find it!Hello
Have you checked the settings in the taskbar and Start Menu Properties?
There should be a tab named Notification area.In this tab, you find an option; Hide inactive icons.
You can turn off (disable) this device or you can customize it.
In addition, you can choose which icons should be available and shows even the Hide inactive icons option would be activated. In some cases, these options may be grayed out
In this case, you will need to find a registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \TrayNotifyand here you have to delete the keys: + IconStreams + and + PastIconStream +.

Try these steps and check if that helps:
** Turn it back on. Sometimes a reboot will solve this problem.* *.
1. close all programs and stop the laptop.
2. remove all power supplies (battery and power cord)
3. empty the remaining power by pressing the power on button for 30 seconds (even if you have no power).
4. put the battery back and start the computer
5. once fully loaded, right-click on the system tray and select Properties.
6. This will bring to the top of the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog box. The "Notification area" tab.
7. at the bottom of the tab, is the area 'icons systems. " There is a checkbox for "Power". "check" the box and click on apply or OK.
Also update your graphics card drivers.
It works! Tanks a lot Johnny D.81!

Desktop items have disappeared, including sound; How to make a comeback?
Hi Adrianne,
I need more information, are all the missing desktop icons? The sound disappeared, you have a speaker with a red circle and slash inside icon down by the clock?
I recommend you to run a virus scan with the Microsoft Malware removal scan. If that does not help, then download and install Malware bytes.
Let me know if that does or does not work.
