Desperate to download Windows 8 on my computer
I have windows Vista on my computer and it is not compatible with Microsoft Office and I need Microsoft office for my school work.
I'd be careful: computers built for Vista can be the drivers, you must run Windows 8. Now, in most cases you can simply continue to use the drivers built for Vista (my very old laptop running an NVidia video driver of brand did not have all the new drivers of the company since 2007, but I upgraded to 7, then 8, then 10 8.1 and now even whiles still using the driver, they built for Vista).
I go to the website of Windows 8 and run the Upgrade Advisor, which will analyze your system and report the problems of compatibility.

I just downloaded windows 7 on my computer and now it says I do not have a card installed, network driver what should I do?
If the computer is running XP or Vista, for example, before installing W7, it may mean that the manufacturer of the PC card or network did not have a driver for W7.
Go to the site of the original manufacture of the PC (brand/model) support and see if they make an adapter for your specific model of W7. If they do download it, to get the right version IE 32 or 64-bit as needed. If the PC manufacturer doesn't provide one, try the website of the company that makes the actual adapter and see if they do.
If you are unable to connect to the internet on this PC, you will need to download the driver on another PC and transfer it through via a USB stick or an SD card.
Is there no driver W7 made for your specific PC and its adapter, then you may need to consider buying a replacement network card and use it.

Computer fell because I downloaded Windows 95' soft '
I decided to download Windows 95 for my Linux computer and I restarted and it said: enter the Startup Code!Hello
a startup code? What type of boot disk that you use? Sounds like something from another program.
Now don't get me wrong, I did not install Win 95 in about ten to twelve years, but I do not remember a start-up code!
You can do a Bing search on installation of Windows 95 on Lynux for more information.
Hope this helps,

I downloaded 4 fonts on my computer and all of the decompressed files. However, my computer telling me I have to wait until Windows is finished with the files. I made sure all Windows programs are disabled, but he still repeats the message. Why is it so?
Hi Clarissa Tan.
- What is the complete message you receive?
- Which site did you download the fonts on the computer?
Method 1
I suggest you to use the link below to download new fonts on the computer and check if it helps.
To add a new font to your computer
Download new fonts
http://www.Microsoft.com/typography/fonts/
Method 2
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you set up the computer in a clean boot state and try to install new fonts, check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

Whenever I tried to load the antivirus software, or similar, I saw in the 'my windows task manager process windows' image or start whd.exe process name my software would be closed and a screen could come that had microsoft images etc on this subject. He asked me to sign up or enter my code', that I could download for $59. I managed to fix it myself, but before I did I sent an email to their 'support center' telling them that I was going to find and to make their visit for wasting my time! I put a contactable email address down and got one got a naughty response. Hello sorry, but there is no payments with your email. Please send me your e-mail to registration or transaction ID thank you and have a great day! email address * address email is removed from the privacy * who can I send this on, it was a scam and for someone who has no idea about computers, they would have to pay somethig to someone to fix it. enough of these people, they need to be stopped.

If you can install and run iTunes correctly, then I'm sure that sync with an iPod will work as well.

To reinstall Vista.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery discs, IF it is still available.
They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery on the drive Partition hard reinstall Windows how much you bought your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Them or us ask the right sequence of key.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.
Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

original title: the customer service is horrible
After I downloaded beta Security Essentials, my computer say suddenly that he was not a genuine copy of Windows running and locked up.
I called last night and got a foreign person has attempted to resolve the issues and could not, so he told me that I had to call back after 06:00 to speak to someone in the United States. So I called back today at 06:00 and got one of those who are running around things voice control that didn't fix my problem at all. After much effort, I got a live person. Again, it was a foreign person (why make me wait all night and get up early to call?!?!)This woman told me to restart. I told her that I had rebooted about 10 times since the day before and each time he took forever to load back up the box that tells me that I need to activate windows. She has reiterated, "I ask you to restart." I knew he wouldn't do ANYTHING, but I did and after the session it forever (as I told him it would be) she told me that I had to remind once I got up the box again. I called after that I got the box AND HAD TO START OVER again ONCE with someone new. Of course, she was trying to pass me to someone else.Of course, after all this trouble, no MS sells a product key for Vista, it is abandoned. So I need to go buy Windows 7 and she told me that I'll LOSE EVERYTHING when I install it - all my documents and family photos are gone forever. Why not take my money and sell me a product key instead of let me in trouble? The worst ever undertaken. Of course, MS doesn't care because they have a monopoly. You should not need to buy anything except the recovery disc for your machine (if the built-in recovery partition does not work), unless you really need Win 7 for some reason any.
That being said - the COA sticker on your machine is readable? If Yes, then you should have no problem with a Windows 7 upgrade version - but you will need to either use activation by phone, or installation methods described here...
