• cannot change the text field after grouping

  Hi people,

  I have 3 single-line text fields and a logo combined using 'Add parents '.  For some odd reason, I can't select a field to edit text.  I can select them in the assets Panel and change the layout or style, but as soon as I double-click to edit the text, my selection goes to the div parent instead of the text field.  I tried to use the text as well, but it always happening in selection to the parent.  This isn't a big deal since I can change the text later in a Publisher, but it's a little frustrating.

  FWIW, I ran the update of this morning before starting, but I doubt that caused this nothing thanks for any help

  So sorry Chris, in my frustration, I removed the parent and the group so I can get the item that I wanted to edit, and then recreated the parent.

  However, your description of the differences between the Group and Add Parent in this discussion: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1361983?tstart=0 probably explains why I have problems.  I think I had GROUPED fields 3 text and then wrapped in this group and the image of the logo in another div with 'Add parents '.  I have probably not been not clicking successfully through the parent company to the group, and then in the text field.  In fact, I was clicking like mad, but probably not on the correct spot for each level.

• Simply way to change a company logo and change the text.

  I am new to Ai and I just wanted to know if there was a simple way to change the text in a file HAVE existing. When I opened the file, it is much more advanced than I thought.

  You have a file HAVE? You can open the layers panel (window menu or find the icon)? Then swirl open a layer by clicking the small triangle before its name. Looking for an underlay that has the word "Network Solutions" as the name. Select this layer, click on the tool T in the left vertical of Toolbox and you will be able to edit the text.

  I worked on a form to allow suppliers to fill their reports of endoscopy online.  I'm trying to do something very simple.  If a user selects a check box change the value in a text field.  Either we allow the code to run once.  It will change the value once - even if I think it's to set an incorrect value in the code - but that is neither here nor there at this point.

  It's just a typo. You typed rawvalue rather than rawValue "V" must be upper case.

  See the attahed to the snap.  It works for me after you change this property.

  I bought Windows 8 in China and guess what its in Chinese!

  With a helpful friend we downloaded English language pack. But we seem to have changed only the administrator account. I have now set up my personal user account, but you guessed it - its in Chinese!

  Using the language of recovery of language - options-, I see not 'available' or "get the main language" option.  Is this something to do with not having privledges administrator or something?

  You will need to re - install on the personal account also language pack. Language packs also allow multiple users sharing a language to select distinct view. For example, a user can select to see dialog boxes, menus and other text in Japanese, while another user might choose to see the same content in French.

  I'm hit a roadblock here. I'm on Adobe Acrobat XI and here's the scenario: I have a list box and a text box.

  Drop-down menu field has 3 caps (A, B, C).

  If A is selected, the text box = 15 default, but has the ability to change in the text box.

  If B or C is selected, the text box = 0 or "by default, but it has the ability to change in the text box.

  If I use an if/then with a .value, I'll be able to get the numbers to work, but do not have the ability to edit and keep them there. If I enter another number in another area, the JavaScript code will run and change the text box to 0 or 15.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Instead to use script logic for the text field, use the drop-down validation script. In this way, that it only will be triggered when you change the value in the drop-down list field, not when you change any field in the file (as the calculation script).

  Who should do it, because rb1 has value 1, and rb2 has a value of 2. RBL is exclusion group.

  Is it possible to create text boxes in Adobe Reader ms and their locking in place, but being able to add text and editing text says?

  You can only add form fields in Reader by using a script like this, I developed: Scripts Adobe custom: Reader - create form fields in Adobe Reader

  However, you cannot apply a security policy that will prevent users from adding text outside your fields.

  I think a better solution for you would be to get Acrobat, if. It will allow you both to add form fields and apply a security policy (and many other things).

• change the text between the loops

  I have to update an ad that has been previously created. The original pub consists of a picture and a text and logos which loop two times then stops. Publication constraints require the announcement that two loops and a certain amount of time and stop at the end of the second loop - this was done in the original pub. The customer asked where a banner appears in the ad with specific information ('apply now for the half of January... (''), changes to information in the second rotation (loop) of the ad ("at an open house date") I'm trying to find a way to do it given the limit to two loops and a time constraint. I had to condense and edit the first draft to address the constraints, so I'm not sure that I can do almost anything with the timeline? Is this a problem of action script?

  While Actionscript could be used to solve the problem, it is not necessarily the only solution.  You could spend with two loops and extend the timeline for the equivalent length of two loops, and change the text in the second half, repeat all that happens twice during this extended period of time.

  To take an Actionscript approach to solve, you can do a simple logic check to change the text.  There are several approaches, you could take, being...  Start with the (dynamic) textfield is empty.  First check if the textfield object contains the first loop of the text and if it then assigns the second loop, but if not, assign the first text.

  Currently I am trying to edit the text of a project/site Web Flash. Flash project structure is as follows:

  The Section3.fla file contains the text that I need to change. I noticed that the text will be visible inside the library:

  "/ Text/text" 10 file

  But when I try to change the 10 text file I get the message: "this symbol is imported from a shared library. If you change this symbol, it is is more imported. Would continue you? ».

  If I click on Yes and change the text and replace the Section3.swf with the new, the site still displays the old text.

  I have it solved! I was check the folder sprites (inside the library) and I noticed a file with the text that I needed to change. So I've just updated the text exported as SWF and it worked.

  Also, I found a nice Firefox very convenient addon "button to clear the cache. It helped me to be allocated to ensure that the site has updated to the latest version.

  I'm on my first Elements 8 free trial and I am trying to add a speech bubble.  Inside of the bubble it says "Add text" in a way that makes it appear like you can click it and change the text.  I have not been able to do.
