Detect peripheral photos on BB10 portrait orientation?

It seems that every time I load a camera in a portrait-oriented file element via javascript on my Z10, it always shows portrait photo dimensions width > height, it displays on the side.

Also, if I can access files camera Z10 via my PC, it also shows photos portrait on the side (and assorted dimensions of a width > height).

Screenshots taken in portrait mode works very well. It is just a problem with the photos from the camera, apparently.

Exactly the same code works fine on the PlayBook however, correctly showing photos of two elements img and portrait when you access from a PC.

Known bug? Is there a workaround, or a way for me to detect the expected orientation in addition to the comparison of width and height?

Hi BBKate,

The rotation data for images taken with the camera are stored as EXIF data, which requires the "app" (in this case browser/webworks) read EXIF and turn.

He is currently in the works, but take a look at the following article on the reading of the EXIF data, where you can run yourself:

  • Photo landscape versus Portrait Orientation anomaly

I took 2 photos in orientation portrait (long side vertical, i.e., "oriented vertically').  I looked in Adobe Bridge CS3 and of course initially found to be lying on its side, oriented horizontally.  I used the visible button in top right in Adobe Bridge, which shows a partial circle and an arrow to change the orientation of the pictures to be oriented vertically.  I opened in Photoshop CS3 and they display correctly oriented vertically.  I tweaked them and saved, thinking that they must now be correctly oriented vertically, such that they display correctly in bridge and Photoshop both.  However, when these are displayed in a web browser (Mozilla or Internet Explorer) they display incorrectly, horizontally oriented.  I know that this must have a ridiculously simple explanation and solution, but it's not obvious to me how to say Bridge or Photoshop to guide the photo in default orientation such that it will be viewed in other programs not Adobe.  Where this information is stored, and how can I fix?  This seems to be a bad behavior, as a user may be unaware that the image is not correctly rotated.

    Thank you.

Not sure if this is true but read this.

«Although Bridge allows you to quickly and easily rotate images, rotation is not really happen before opening the file in a graphics application such as Adobe Photoshop® or Adobe Illustrator® and save it in its rotated state.» So if you put up the image in Bridge and then dragged in Adobe InDesign®, it would appear with its original orientation. »

In other words, if you rotate in Bridge and opened in Photoshop, it is turned.  But if you turn in Bridge and drag to the PS, he is not looking.  Looks like you need to save in order to maintain orientation.

"You are aware of how Photoshop can explicitly display the value of the indicator of altered direction bridge?   No, he can rely on the bridge.

  • Photos rotate from Portrait to landscape mode when em

I discovered that all the photos I take orientation portrait once sent to someone, they are reversed for the landscape. The photos cannot be turned to the correct orientation with opening program Paint and rotate manually. Is there any solution for this?

I take hundreds and thousands of photos of my life (children, holidays etc.) and will not have to handle them later once moved on my computer.

Note: If you reduce the image quality at 6mp it solves the problem, too, if you shoot the pic in HDR mode. I wouldn't have to do to make it work. IN CASE OF FAILURE.

Please tell me that there is a fix for this.

I want to give up a follow up on this situation. I just Jelly Bean and it solved my problem of camera. He keeps standard taken in 8mp photos in portrait in portrait orientation. It does not turn them in landscape mode if I wanted to, but that's ok with me.

  • I can assure Portrait Orientation photographs display correctly?

Photos of portrait orientation is displayed correctly in PhotoShop multimedia elements.

However, fair when I use the slideshow Editor to transfer a slide show to Premiere Elements, the portrait Photos end up their side.

If PhotoShop Elements knows what pictures are directed Portrate, why can't Premiere Elements also know this?

My work around is to change the Photos Orientation Protrait and transfer the version published in Premiere Elements in the slide show.  I think that this nealy still works.  However, it's a pain if photos don't need an editing tool before be shown in a DVD slide show.

Now, we could adjust the fixed effect > Rotation, in a single Image. Then the user would be Rt-click on the Image and choose copy. Then select all the Images that need Rotation, then Rt click on those, choose the attributes of the dough.

Personally, I like to do operations like scaling and Rotation in my image-editing program, Photoshop, as its algorithms are better, IMHO.

    Good luck

  • portrait orientation lock

iOS iPhone 5s 9.2.1: should I use portrait orientation locking?  I have not seen an explanation that makes no sense.

Orientation is designed to keep the apps that are allowed to rotate to landscape to do. The decision whether to use it is entirely up to you and your preferences.

  • Dell MDS14 Dual Monitor Stand, Portrait orientation?

Hi all there a Dell MDS14 Dual Monitor Stand. I just want to confirm if one of the monitors can be in portrait orientation?

I want to mount one 24 inches horizontally and the other 24 inches in portrait mode.

    Thanks in advance.

If anyone is interested, Yes, you can mount the monitor in portrait mode using the included vesa plate.

All you need to do is fix the vesa plate in the necessary direction and fix.

The only issue is that it adds about 5mm is not Ras if you align perfectly flat monitors horizontally.

But if use you it like me and have a slight angle inward at the portrait screen it's a problem no.

PS, if you need to rinse, you can always mount two monitors with vesa :) plate

  • Fixed fixed portrait orientation landscape changed wrongly in iOS7 on iPad

    Hello

I just download iOS7 on my iPad.

iOS7 changed my fixed in portrait orientation fixed bad iOS7 on my iPad in landscape orientation

for an app, I did in Flash CS 5.5.

I did not have this problem in iOS6.

    Anyone encountered this problem?

Does anyone know how to fix this for iOS7?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is not correct, you don't have to export AIR 3.4. The most recent is 3.8 and the difference is huge for overall consistency. Please do not export to 3.4.

Download the latest version of the AIR SDK:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/air/air-SDK-download.html

Unzip it anywhere that you want to save your SDK. I put mine in the file Flash CS6 (Note: 3.8 on the picture file does not exist, you have to do and you can call it anything you like.) I used 3.8 clarity and the convention.).

If you have CS6 then simply point to the new SDK (help-> manage AIR SDK-[+] button, point to the location of the SDK)

    for example

If you have access to just use it more CS5.5 CS6. If you must use CS5.5 then you can google a lot of resources on the way to well to overlay AIR SDK on CS5.5.

  • How can I resolve the default page in Portrait orientation?

I found this question asked but never answered.  Now, I'm running into exactly the same problem.

Under Page size in Page Setup - Options paper-, the default orientation is currently set to landscape and IE8 starts off that way every time.  It is always true, even after resetting the default IE8 options.  How can I permanently set default to Portrait page orientation so that I don't have to manually reset printing in Portrait, whenever I print a page of IE8?  I am running XP SP3.

I found the solution to the problem.

Go to the preferences of the default printer, it has been in the landscape.  After changing portrait, it now sets the default in IE8.

  • I want to portrait.orientation for all of my PDF files

How can I change my portrait oreintaion?

Adobe Reader cannot permanently change the orientation of a PDF file, although you can change how pages are seen on the screen while it is currently open. To permanently change the orientation, you will need Acrobat!

  • Creating a movie portrait oriented

Previous posts have helped with explaining how to set up a project using the portrait, which is great, but I find that export to a movie file is always a problem. I need to create a movie file that fits on a portrait view oriented, for a show. The problem I have, is that even if the project seems ok when the export screen is always in landscape mode. The film is displayed in the middle. Surely, there must be a way that the exported sequence is set in portrait mode as signage companies do this all the time.

Just swap the width and height values. (first unlock the chain) or hit game Source.

  • Trouble of scrolling works in portrait orientation (pc with swivel screen).

I have an Ati Radeon 4600, XP Sp3.
The problem only occurs with firefox, probably any version I tried.
When I turn to the portrait through the driver cards, or the scroll wheel and the scroll bar or the arrow keys work correctly (maybe after a delay of one second if they react in all).

Please do not forget to mark your post as the solution.

This helps other users with the same issue because they can see your solution and give it a try.

Thanks a lot to use the Firefox support forum today!

  • BB10 Simulator orientation change?

Is there a clear way to change the portrait and landscape and vice versa on the Simulator? I tried to drag diagonally so many times all I managed to do is to toggle the virtual keyboard. I tried to use the controller, but it doesn't seem to work (tried all RPY presets..)

[two nights towards the end of the update... [

It works! The last Simulator (gold) manages the gesture of change of direction very well for the browser.

The strange thing about this one is that the keyboard does not appear to display when you click at the bottom left, but if I move the mouse above where it should be then it appears (even if it wobbles).
