Detect the attached wav file

Hello

I want to play a wav file, programmatically when it arrives as an attachment. I have this piece of code

for (int i = 0; i)< multi.getcount();="">
{
BodyPart bp = multi.getBodyPart (i);
If (BP. GetContentType () .toLowerCase (). IndexOf("application/octet-stream")! = -1)
{
play the wav file.
}
}

But this isn't a good solution. I want to detect if the attachment is a wav file.
Is there a way to get the extension of the attachment? Thank you

just grap the attachmentpart and verify that the name:

getName() (see for example SupportedAttachmentPart)

  • The contents of the folder WAV files will not work unless the folder is on the desktop.

    Re: Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit W/sp2 installed.

    I created a new folder for Wav files and set it on my desk until I was finished downloading the files for convenience purposes. I then used them to slightly change the default sounds for different commands, events and others. Everything worked fine until I moved the folder on the desktop to another location. Files located in the folder assigned and uncorrupted but will no longer work when the event or the command is enabled. If I move the folder to the desktop everything works well again. No error or anything are reported. The files in the folder will simply not work unless the folder is on the desktop. Is that all I could do to fix this?

  • the antivirus application detects the protected password file?

    Dear experts,

    Hello

    If I have an antivirus application or gateway antivirus, it detects viruses as embeded in a file (for example excel sheet) which is protected by a password?

    and a second question please,

    the antivirus application detects a virus in a compressed file as compressed or winrar file?

    Thanks a lot for your help

    Makar

    Makar,

    In general, files protected by password are encrypted content cannot be parsed, so the answer to the first question is no. For the second question, is based on the AV vendor, but most of the big names can also scan zipped files.

  • Media Player does not burn the audio (wav) files on the disk, or play "" CD error ".

    Media Player was working fine until recently. Now when I hit the button "Start burn" the burn starts momentarily, the time of the audio files is displayed, but when I insert the CD in the drive, it reads 'CD error' and there is no sound. I recently installed a new security package (Webroot) but none of my other software has been affected. Tab of computability, I noticed that it is set to windows 95 (I have windows 7), but the program does not allow me to change it. I checked for driver updates, but the computer says that all drivers are current and the device works correctly. any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Unable to detect the Canon RAW files

    I have several Canon cameras where I have no problem importing RAW files. However, I just bought a 6 d and can't Lightroom to recognize one of its RAW files.

    Camera: Canon 6 d

    Shooting native RAW + jpeg

    I use Lightroom 7.5.1 8.5 Windows in 64 bit mode
    My drop-down list plugins Photoshop says that the RAW file is version 8.8.0.397

    For me, it was suggested that there is a fix for the firmware for this particular problem.

    I am able to find references to this problem with the Nikon camera, but not my Canon model.

    The problem has been resolved by a new update of the firmware of the Canon.

  • Why is - 1, 5 giving an error about the opening.wav files?

    I recently bought an Olympus VN-8500PC digital voice Rrecorder, but when I try to open the .wma files created in hearing I get an error message "undefined external error" output device files will be open to WMA, very well. I am running Windows 7, but have been lucky so far to this Audition 1.5 is fine.

    AA1.5 should be able to open these files without difficulty, certainly. You have several options here - first, try reinstalling this has been known to heal all sorts of problems which, at first glance, do not feel. Second, posting a small file somewhere so that someone else can try to open it, because it is just possible that this is a non-standard file (although it shouldn't be). Third, it is possible that it is a legitimate file, but the header is not recognized correctly. To test this, try to open it as a RAW file and then saying hearing that he is in fact the WMA data - if it opens then, it is certainly the offending header.

  • Smartphone blackBerry, opening of wav files attached

    Hi Otto and welcome to the forums!

    This refers to the unit of Cisco, but the important part are the codecs used to generate the

  • Cannot modify the properties file or Tags on .wav files

    Recently, I noticed that you cannot change the property information or the tag of the file on file .wav audio as you can do it on other types of audio.  Either using the file explore. change the properties or advanced in WMP11 tag editor, all the fields are grayed and shelter directly editing.  This is not the case for all other types of audio files, I tried.

    Curiously, the fields are editable by WMP if you can manually find Album Info or just edit the individual fields directly in the screen of the library.  Unfortunately, it is not acceptable, because it means that you can not change at the same time, more than a single field in a single file and then only if this field is represented as a column in the WMP library.

    It seems very strange to me; This seems to be a limitation in Windows itself, since even the file Explorer will not let update you the file properties (for example, title, subject, author, comments, etc.).  I really need to save as the original .wav files so they can be changed later (and not lose the content of compression), but I have no way to correctly annotate files!  Does anyone know of a way around this?  Thanx

    (Using XP on multiple computers - same problem on all of them.)

    Hello V7Goose,

    I think you'll have to come back to apply 3rd party to do what you are looking for.  Otherwise, it will take forever to tag your music one by one.  There are some that you can make a search that may be free.  I just found this one, I don't know if it of good or not, I wanted to give you an idea of what is out there.

  • How to create a button that opens the attachment (file power point attached to the pdf document)

    Hello world!

    The question is in the title.

    How to create a button in Acrobat Pro to open a file attached to PDF?

    I have moved your question to one of the forums of Acrobat, first.

    If the target file is not a PDF file you need to use a script to do it. The structure of the script would be something like this:

    this.exportDataObject ({cName: "Name of the attachment.ppt file", nLaunch: 2});

  • How can I bind 'click here' text to an attached Excel file where the link remains intact when opened on a different machine?

    Hello Adobe community!

    So basically...

    I have a sentence in my PDF showing "click here". I want to join this text that goes to an Excel file that I attached using the "Attach a file" link.

    I did successfully this link to another PDF but an Excel file seems to require a different process.

    This link must remain intact, it will be sent around a large organization.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    You can use the JavaScript doc.launchDataObject method. It is documented in the Acrobat JavaScript reference. If you set the nLaunch parameter, it can prompt the user to open the attachment.

  • Video importer does not recognize the .wav files

    When I click on get the media, then click on files and folders in PE10, then click a .wav file I want to import, I get the pop-up "Please use importing video. The problem is that the video importer only recognizes the video, mpeg2 files for example. The .wav files that I researched before being forced to use the "importer" video is not in the list. It was so easy to import audio files in earlier versions of Premiere Elements. Why the "importer" video should be used if it does not list the common .wav files? The video importer settings can be adjusted, or this application may be avoided? Gee, I don't know why the things that worked well are made more complicated or is no longer can be made.

    In addition, please download the appropriate help file or manual user to save? I'm willing to pay for this service that we have already taken for granted. Gee, I've been a loyal fan of Premiere Elements. However, things become useless and obscure. I hope moderators help despite this negativity found mine. I'd think again of a program that I made the praise of many people.

    There is no real manual for the program - that's why I wrote my books.

    http://Muvipix.com/pe10.php

    But I'm not sure it would help you in this case.

    Where is the WAV file? It is on the hard drive of your computer?

    You certainly should not use the importer of the video to get the WAV file - assuming that it is not coming from an external device, such as a camcorder or a smartphone or iPad or another similar term.

    But if you have problems, try just open Windows Explorer (or Finder on Mac), locate the file and then just by dragging from Windows Explorer WAV file in your media Panel. It should fall right into.

  • Submit the form as XML / rename attachment XML file

    Hello

    I use the script or send a form:

    var Mailto = " " [email protected] "; "
    var mySubject = "this is the subject";
    var myMessage = "Thank you find attached my folder.";

    var email = ' mailto: ' + Mailto + '? Object ="+ mySubject + '& Body =' + myMessage;

    event.target.submitForm({)
    cURL: Mail,.
    bEmpty: true,
    cSubmitAs: 'XML '.
    });

    Unfortunately, I can't change the name of the attached XML file. It's the name of the PDF file automatically.

    Someone at - it an idea how to change the name of the attachment?

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    ra_be

    The attachment file name will always be the name of the PDF file. The only way to change is to save the PDF file under a different name before send you it.
