  Hello:

  I am currently working on taking images in LabVIEW using a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 USB camera. I have attached the simple VI that I use. For some reason, LabVIEW is no longer able to take a picture of resolution 640 x 480 with this device. However, its capabilities are well beyond that. According to me, it can reach a resolution of image fixed of 1920 x 1080. How can I get LabVIEW to snap a picture at 1920 x 1080 with this device? I have attached a jpg of the VI.

  Brad,

  IMAQdx functions will not displayed either because you have not installed IMAQdx or they are not allowed. Both come on the setup of the Acquisition of the Vision, but are separate elements that can be enabled/disabled during installation. If you use the Vision Development Module, you should have a license to activate the IMAQdx as well. Check with the License Manager AND verify that it is authorized.

  You'll really like using IMAQdx much better than IMAQ USB functions. There are many more features supported and it is fully supported in all software OR, as measurement and Automation Explorer. You can configure your camera inside MAX settings and then save and use them in LabVIEW automatically.

  This is the information that I needed.

  When people send me images that are all in 1024 x 768 in size in pixels (I'll stop using the word 'size') the size of the font that I choose to use appears differently on these images, depending on their output resolution.

  There is no way to avoid having to adjust the resolution of output of these images, if I want to have text added (via the text tool) that appears the same size on all images.

  Now, I can explain why this is happening.  I hope this is helpful to others reading this.

  You can change the resolution using the application from HP as follows:

  Click HP scan at the top and then click on Preferences.

  In the launch windows, select the required resolution.

  Close the preferences window and perform analysis.

  Let's try this

  Open HP Solution Center.

  Click "scan picture". A new window will open.

  In the left part of the window, under shortcuts scan select "scan picture".

  On the right, select image under the type of analysis.

  Below this "Advanced picture settings' tab is present. Click on it. A new window will open.

  The resolution is given here. Click on drop down menu, then select your desired resolution. After you only click 'OK '. Click on scan.

• Imaging software unable to detect the scanning device

  I installed an Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner as well Silverfast 8 SE who works with the scanner.  It used to work fine, but now when I start it, it says it cannot detect a scanner.  I uninstalled the scanner and Silverfast several times but the problem persists.  When I check device for devices showing Manager, there is no icon for the Scanner.  I consulted Silverfast support but so far nothing of their suggestions help.  It's as if the scanner is installed in a place that is not detected either by Silverfast or Device Manager.  The scanner works fine regardless.

• How can I increase the resolution of an image low resolution without pixel mixture?

  So I have a 64 x 64 image, and I want to increase the resolution to something like 256 x 256, with the same pixel "ratio" (yes I know ratio isn't the right word) which means they're still visible square, in this case the pixels turn 1 x 1 to 4 x 4 same color without mixing pixels next to them. I want to do this to allow better re-sizing of capacity but still be able to do in a project of low resolution to facilitate the design. How can I go about it?

  Make sure that before you add this photo to your project, you go to the preferences (under the Edit on a PC) and uncheck the default scale to the size of the image.

  Scaling of artificially reduced image size your photo - no matter how large - the size of your video image, make detailed pans and zooms like your impossible. When it is not checked, your photo will be in full resolution and you will only see a small part of it in the preview window.

  That said, don't forget that you work at video resolution, so some details will be lost. (Less so, if you change video high-def). And, of course, don't forget to make your timeline after you have added your pans and zooms to see a better representation of what your final video will look like.

  It's 300 dpi. You can find more information on images at Fotolia.com because that's where the images are actually. I hope that the Stock will add this info to the Pages of Stock as well.
