  There is a permission that you add to the group to which you share the dashboard. There are permissions to a 'Top - N analysis' you must give to this group. In the contrary case, the refusal of access will appear when users in this group are attempting to access the dashboard in question.

  Never mind. A dashboard that would not close was marked as "default" dashboard. If you want to close a dashboard that is marked as 'failure', a different dashboard by default and it then you can close the dashboard that you couldn't close before.

  I need some advice on the maximum number of CPU cores that we assigned to each virtual machine, as well as the maximum number of processor cores physical on the host machine.

  On ESX 1 vCPU is a logical basis.

  It is a heart in a CPU socket, but could also be logical fundamental of a core (if you have HT enable).

  On ESX/ESXi 3.5, there is a limit of max 4 vCPU for each virtual computer.

  Hello.  I'm kinda stuck (or really stuck ).  In any case, I'm newbie.  That being said, I've had a few really good help on how to pass table through the postuimessage (xparamdata) of teststand to my user interface customized a few weeks ago.  It really helped.  Thanks again.  However, I'm still another question.  I'm moving a container of teststand.  The container or the cluster of table and table x of y in a XY Chart.  I pass to my custom IO and try to update a chart XY on my IO.  I tried to use the same code that I used for a table, but it does not work... of course.  I just need a little help to find out how to get this update on my graph XY on my IO.  The attached photo, this is what I have so far, but it is not close to work.  Can someone give me some advice?

  String of BTW - looking for you wouldn't array1 and array2.  It would be the names of the tables in your cluster.  In TestStand search strings are the relative path to the object of the referenced property.  In this case your container is referenced from which is the name of your berries.

  VCOps 5.7.2 is the version we accounts. We use "personal relationship" as a widget to monitor specific resources. But all resource objects are in a State of unkonwn after configuration and selecting the type of resource. It's a little strange because the same resource objects are OK in relationship VC widget. You have added ResourceKinds as a third party, but you still have to select the parameters that will be used for the 'Workload' category or metric.   I tried to build a User Interface for TestStand 4.1.1 using LabView 8.6.1 (on Windows XP)

  However, ActiveX controls keep showing in the old non - 3d "block" style.

  

  This seems to be a problem when you build a new exe. If you use the included UI (Full Featured) in TestStand it appears correctly.

  

  I was able to replacte this problem on two other development systems (a new windows XP, LabVIEW 8.6.1 & TestStand 4.1.1 install).

  (1) take a copy of the full-functional UI of LabVIEW.

  (2) open the project file

  (3) rebuild the exe file

  It's only a problem when you use the exe file. When you run from the LabVIEW development system it looks good.

  directory as your executable file. TestStand comes with a manifest file for
  INTERFACE c# you can also use for the UI of LabVIEW. Just go to the \User Interfaces\Simple\CSharp and copy the file TestExec.exe.manifest in the directory of the LabVIEW User Interface executables.

  Note that the manifest file must have the same name as your executable file LabVIEW UI. For example, if you name your user interface, "MyCustomTSUI.exe", you will need to name the manifest file 'MyCustomTSUI.exe.manifest '.

  Hi Julien,

  Introduce the network of the virtual machine as if it were any other network. No need to have a vmkernel, unless you want to create an iSCSI data store.

  Set up your network inside the virtual machine with an IP address in the same subnet as your storage space. Try to ping of your storage space for the guest. Configure your iSCSI initiator and present your logic unit number on the virtual computer in your NetApp.

• Use the Flex user interface in a PS plugin

  Hello!

  I am a user relatively to the Flex user interface design! A couple of days, I thought to give my PS plugins a look of the Flex user interface! I searched the internet on some tutorials or guides, but there is very little information relating to this. The guide Builder Extension CS says that we can interact with the Flex user interface & a native application by using the branchezBranchez C++ library. There is an example of code in Illustrator SDK for the same under the name FreeGrid (C++) & FreeGridUI(Flex UI). But I couldn't find an equivalent in PS.

  On further research in this regard, I found that we can use the PlugPlug.h (& .cpp) with a few changes in our C++ PS of the plugin code. I'm stuck at this stage now. How can I do to get out of here?

• Affinity processor for a virtual machine

  I have a lot of CPU 8 on which I have installed ESX 3.5 U3. I also created a virtual machine Windows 2003 Server SP2 with 2 CPU is assigned to the.

  I'm trying to set the processor affinity for this virtual machine to use 2 of my physical processors. I see now on the tab Advanced CPU, I am able to select all available 8 physics of the processor. So now I'm a bit confused regarding if VMware allows scaling of my machine virtual to use all 8 CPU when my virtual machine is only 2 CPU?

  Now if the above is true, and I am to be allowed to set the affinity of the virtual machine to the all 8 CPU, then why is this maximum limit of the processor for a virtual machine is only 4? A stupid question probably but I'm really confused?  :|

  Hi confused,

  Yes, the user interface is a bit confusing. As RParker said, basically what you are doing when you assign the processor affinity are to identify the nuclei on which the vCPU is eligible to run on. At no time will be the VM scheduled to be run on carrots than what there vCPUs, so he will never have access to a capacity more than expected.

  The processor affinity is one of those features that's been around since 'the beginning' and its utility is really a bit blurred. I've heard of cases where users were running Citrix workloads configured with 2 vCPU and assigned the processor affinity for each virtual computer with the result of improving the performance. I wonder this because I never saw myself, and have a decent knowledge of how works the vmkernel Scheduler, it make much sense.

  I would encourage you (and anyone else reading this) essentially forget that the processor affinity is an option. Use it can cause significant performance degradation (if, for example, you pin a VM through two nodes NUMA, rather than keep vCPUs all in the same node) and break features (VMotion, DRS and who knows what else in the future).

  But, we don't recommend that you use the old version because they are insecure, so take that into account if you decide to restore.
