Develop module creates the effect of "Rainbow" in the photo, how to cancel?

Hello

I just installed a trial version of Lightroom. When I went to the develop module, rather than see my photos, how they looked on my camera, normally in the library module and miniature, the develop module shows my pictures with a rainbow effect reversed of sorts (please see the screengrab). How do I get back it? It shows all my pictures like this in the develop module, not just one.

Thanks in advance!

Hi jadena,

This seems to be because of the graphics processor.

Go to the Lightroom preferences > Performance > uncheck "use the graphics processor.

Kind regards

  • Develop Module and the wide range of monitors

Is the develop module drive different display of the other modules (library, Print, etc.)?

I ask because I see different, richer and more saturated colors to develop, and a Google search turns up any complaints about this problem, which dates back to 2007.

I have a Dell UP2516D monitor calibrated with an i1DisplayPro software and i1Profiler XRite.  This monitor is capable of 99% AdobeRGB.

Having read the other threads on this topic, I checked the following:

    • The monitor is correctly calibrated
    • I have disabled the option of processor use chart
    • The ICC profile is version 2, not version 4

It's worrying because during the export, the JPEG format resulting looks desaturated images, I see in the library, not the end result of my editing module in the develop module.  Here is a pair of screenshots.  In both cases, the small window is the exported image (JPEG) displayed in the Windows Photo Viewer. The largest window is a partial screenshot of Lightroom.  The screenshot was made by opening the JPEG and then exported by moving the Windows Photo Viewer on the top of the window of Lightroom.

The first image shows the difference between JPEG format and what is seen in developing

    LRColor01.png

The second image shows the fact that the exported JPEG resembles what we see in the library view.

The develop module is fundamentally different in how it sends image data to the screen?  Might it interact with the features of a Monitor wide gamut of cause this problem?

Even if the answer is Yes, it does not explain why the effect is present even in the screenshots.  Take a screen capture, encode in PNG and then display in the Viewer Windows photo or other non-Lightroom software should eliminate special effects due to LR. The difference is always present in the screenshots, even when displayed on screens less capable, so there must be a problem of mismatch of actual color here.

Yes, there is a difference, read here: in Lightroom color management

I don't know, is the windows photo viewer color managed?

If you are using a large monitor range, you can display the correct colors with an application that is color management. Otherwise, you will still see a shift/colorshift.

  • I have new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 graphics card = Intel HD Graphics 520 only see a blue screen in the develop module is the graphics card not supported?

I just new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 for Lightroom on road.

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 520 =

Only get blue screen to develop the module

    This card is not supported?

It works as Lightroom uses is no longer your GPU for rendering of image in the develop module.

  • Develop module for the overall exposure sliders, contrast, saturation, etc. disappeared.

The development module used to have cursors for the overall exposure, contrast, saturation as facts highlights, white, black, shadow, vibrance, clarity etc. Now these functions are only found in the library develop as fast as the left/right buttons. I miss the sliders to develop. There are sliders similar, but on only specific colors, not the overall image. How to bring back the sliders?

Right-click (Ctrl-click on Mac) on any panel group tab for example Detail, Lens Correction etc and make sure all are checked (see image below).

How can I down 230 photos my office? I need the latter in a file - not on the desk

    Hello

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities.

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below, that would help you to remove all the photos in the office.

    a. Select all the photos on the desktop, right click and then click on cut.

    b. open the location where you want to store the copy.

    c. right click on an empty space within the location and then click Paste. The copy of the original file is now stored in the new location.

  • delete the photos, how to regenerate?

My computer is having a problem of partitioning that I am currently to solve, but to free up space I went to the program to disk cleanup noticed that I can free up space by deleting thumbnails. He said that they are capable of being regenerated as needed. Given that I deleted, I was not able to bring them to regenerate. When I opened my account, they seem kind of load, briefly, for a fraction of a second, but then go back to the image of bed of the default Sun. I want to know how to get back to the thumbnails of my photos? Right click and by going to the menu view do not have a thumbnails option.

Very well! I have good and bad/interesting news.

First of all, I did what you suggested just because I kind of found a solution. Sort of.
I got the tab on large icons view. I just changed the Details tab, then return to grand, and all the icons appeared as thumbnails, so YAY!
HOWEVER, when I close the window and reopen it, they are to the photos of sunset. But when I select another size and return basically, they regenerate.
Then... it is a pickle, but it's a solution anyway.
Sincerely, I appreciate and thank you for taking the time to help me with this problem.

  • After the Lightroom CC upgrade, my images have lost all data in the history tab of the develop Module. The settings are kept on the right side of the module, but the history is empty.

Hello, please to offer any assistance that you can think of - I am missing important data!

I'm on a PC, Windows 8.1, I installed the new CC in Lightroom and then updated my catalog. The history of my images disappeared completely. You can see in the following screenshots:

This first picture is a screenshot of 5.7 Lightroom using my old catalogue:

    Lightroom 5 Example.jpg

This second screenshot is Lightroom 6, in the updated catalog to date, same exact image/file:

    Lightroom CC Example.jpg

Please let me know if you need more information to help me with this problem - to keep these data of history is really important!

    Thank you for your time,

    Nico

Option 1) close all applications and restart your system. Move the subfolder with the LR CC catalog convert file and file Previews on your desktop or any other folder outside of the Lightroom folder. The Lightroom file should then contain the file catalog Lightroom 5 and Lightroom 5 Previews catalog folder. Launch of LR CC and try to restart the conversion of catalogue LR 5. When he invites you on the catalog choose the option manually select a catalog. Navigate to the folder with your LR 5 catalogue and file Previews. It should detect while she has need of conversion and repeat the process.

Option 2) If this does not work I suggest to try the same procedure using your backup file of the most recent catalog LR 5. Move the file to LR 5 catalog current folder AND found in a separate subfolder outside of the Lightroom folder. Copy the catalog LR 5 backup file and relaunch LR 5 (not CC). This will cause LR 5 to create a new folder of previews. Confirm that the new Lightroom 5 catalog Previews folder was created using the Finder or Windows Explorer. LR 5. close and restart LR CC.

    Hi kayj,.

This seems to be a problem because of the graphics processor.

Suggest make you in Lightroom preferences > performance > uncheck 'use graphics processor' and then check.

    Kind regards

  • Created the mask - how to display the mask?

Seen about 5 tutorials, read 3 articles... see clearly how to make a mask. I'm here with my yellow box, my mask is feathered, but I can't go back to the pictures to SEE the mask in action.   How can I see the mask on video? I double-clicked everything and when I play the images, it's just a transparent background and my mask feathers.   Thanks for the help.Captghure (2).JPG

Duplicate the item in 2 layers. One directly above the other so that they are as part of frame synchronization.

Create a mask to the top layer on the badge. Pen tool

Click MASK in this layer.  Try check the box reverse in order to understand what it does to the mask.

    It feather at your leisure.

Apply a blur or whatever to this layer mask.

You must now follow if there is a lot of movement.

  • After you have created the shotlist, how can I reformat available traditional scenario after a change?

is it possible to reformat a shooting script in more than one layout of standard script, because...

If you rewrite the dialogue, action, any part of the real-world scenario, then want to print in the layout traditional scenario, how?  My 106 page script became 180 pages when I started shooting script and went from there.  How can I get this back to its traditional format - no comments, shots, etc.

We understand the frustration, and I think that I have a work around for the problem. You must use a different template (attached) so that there is enough space to fit the lines of the camera.

    • Save the file shootingscripttemplate.xml to your local disk
    • Open a film script
    • Click anywhere you want to add a
    • Go to the menu of the production, and then select Production-> camera shot
    • In the confirmation dialog box, choose the option "continue without saving a version". Click on continue
    • Enter information about the shooting, and then click ok
    • Note that the format of script has changed and your photo is displayed on the left. (see page 1 of the PDF)
    • The menu view deselect the option Unit pictures (Page 2)
    • Now, go into the Menu Edition and select Edit-> model
    • Choose 'Film' model in the menu drop-down to return to the original, formatting of the script with the plans of camera in there but not visible. (page 3)

    • Your script should now look similar to page 4 of the PDF file

    • Choose Edition--> model again and now import the model attached shooting script so that you can view the same script as the shooting script.

    • The imported model will be the automatic loading values in the model.
    • From the view menu and select the option from the camera . Your script should now look similar to page 6 of the PDF
    • Switch between templates when you want to work on the camera shots and when you do not.

You can add the shooting script template to your favorite by designs:

    1. Switch to the display of the projects
    2. By clicking the new button on the top right of the screen
    3. Select a movie script in the menu drop-down.
    4. Click the button change the model, Page 8 of the PDF file

    1. Now, click Import and select the model of shooting script in your player. Click OK, then ok again
    2. Click Cancel
    3. The shootingscripttemplate is now available in the drop-down menu when you go to Edition-> view creating a script model.

    I hope this helps.
