I now have this race. The zip downloaded the original file was missing a directory.

I downloaded these charges of Support of Oracle and everything seems OK for the virtual XP mode now.

Now to see if I can get it to work on Windows 7 (after a long lie down)

Thank you, Elaine

  • Setup.exe does not work on vista64 World Book CD of nas

I am trying to install a hard drive Western Digital NAS World Book software on a vista 64-bit operating system.  I inserted the CD, double-click setup.exe, and nothing happening (get brief hourglass).  SELECT and Rt click setup.exe run as administrator has the same results.  This software CD worked fine on one of my XP systems.

Thanks again.  Nothing in Event Viewer (I learned something about the viewer and that's a good thing).

Contacted support of Western Digital (M - F only bankers hours).  It turns out that programs on the CD-ROM is not compatible with vista64.

The research of their knowledge base on 'vista 32 64 bit' has a faq, saying that the product works with vista64.  No need to download different software.

Will support.wd.com gave several icons of product to choose.  I chose the storage network (drive represents the drive of My Book World network storage) went to download piked global icon of the book and downloaded the installation software that does not work either.  TS had me all first choose the MyBook icon then took the same global icon of the book and downloaded the installer and it worked fine.

There was a single element in the knowledge base data (software cd not compatible with 64 V go...) in response to a query of 64 bit vista it saved us a lot of time. Extremely poor web supported but the phone was very good (if you are a banker).

  • Developer application newbie - EXE does not write to disk

I am running LabVIEW 14 on a box of Windows 7 here in my office.  I develop and test here, and then build an EXE file and deploy this EXE on a remote PC from Win7 via TeamViewer.  He worked for a number of intermediate screws that do not involve writing to the disk.  The last EXE works exactly as I want it to work on my local machine, but when I deploy it into the remote area...

.. .There seems to have difficulty to create the output file that is generated by the Subvi 'write the spreadsheet file.  To emphasize: it works on my local PC.

I assume that the problem is a permissions issue, so after trying a number of different paths, both coded hard in the VI as a path variable and dynamically generated by an access path dialog box, I've hardcoded the path as

    C:\Users\Public\

and changed the permissions on this folder in the "permissive" possible.

Now, the VI correctly generates the next file of daughter, e. g.,.

    C:\Users\Public\20140902144410\

in which the name of the folder is simply the yyyymmddhhmmss to the current timestamp to execution of VI.  Whenever the VI runs, I want it to create this unique folder and put the files of multiple worksheet in it.  THIS FOLDER if POSTER, but none of the files are created inside.  So that troubleshooting, I have created an indicator to show the path of the initial release that is created during the start-up phase of the VI, and it returns the correct value, as shown in the attached JPG screenshot.  Yet once again, the folder appears successfully at the right place in the directory structure.

Am I wrong to assume that the likely problem here is a permissions problem?

Thanks for any help... and the solutions!

NathanD, I just checked the code works on my local PC if I run in the development environment or as an exe.  I have also found, alas, that several different programs on the remote PC have difficulties to establish links with virtual COM ports through which my series instruments are available.  As my LabVIEW code do attempt to read a same COM port the first time, unless you bytes is > 0 to this port and the output files will be created only once the first stream of data is read from a COM port, that must be the problem, and not something with my LabVIEW code after all.

Once again, thank you to you two.

I received the following error sporadically when I try the accounting version of Quickbooks 2012.  Accordingly, it does not run Quickbooks on my desktop but it allows me to run on my laptop.  Help, please.  "Setup.exe - Ordinal not found - the 62 ordinal could not be locatedin the CSCDLL.dll dynamic link library.

    Hello

You can try the following steps and check.

    Method 1:

Check if there is a cscui.dll C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.

The cscui.dll does not exist by default in the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.

If you find the cscui.dll on the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 you can try right click and rename the cscui.dll to cscui.old.

    Method 2:

You can run scanning of the file system [SFC] checker on the computer that will replace missing or corrupt files & check if the problem persists.

For more information, you can consult the following link.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    Method 3:

You can also perform a clean boot and check.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

You can also check the following thread link and check.

  • TPSMain.exe does not start on Satellite U400 - 14 p PSU44E running Win XP

    Hello

    I installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on my U400 PSU44E - 14 p.
I found all the drivers on the official website of Toshiba (thank you) but one in the origin of the problems: TPSMain.exe does not start when I start the computer.

Once I type my password and login, I hear a typical Windows error sound, but no message is displayed. I noticed that when you try to start the Toshiba Power Saver utility from the Control Panel, I got an error message telling me that I have enough privileges to run this utility...

    I am the administrator!

If you guys encountered the same problem and got a hint of trouble, feel free to post here. THX.

I have a Toshiba Satellite U400 and I installed Win XP too.
I have a user account administrator and Toshiba Power Saver works properly!
No problem don't like on your system!

However, in the Toshiba Power Saver Settings (installation options), you can find the option called limited allows the user to change the settings and allow different actions for each profile.

    Check that both are enabled!

If this doesn't help then reinstalling again this tool.

  • Explorer.exe does not work correctly.

    Hello everyone.

My name is George Sebros and I have a Toshiba Satellite A300.
The reason why I post this new topic, it is that I need a little help from someone who knows something about my above problem:
One day, about 2 months ago... I turn on my Satellite A300.
When he connected, not only none of my icons appeared but also the start menu does not...
The only thing that appeared in a screen totally BLACK, has been my folder "Documents and Settings" which opened automatically.
There was no way I could find neither the start menu (I mean the taskbar), or my icons...
So, whenever I close the Documents and Settings folder that had appeared, the only thing I could see was a black screen...
It was a kind of shock to me and I couldn't believe my eyes...

After a few days, I tried the well-known combination "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" to see what was working and what was not.
Then I pressed the 'FILE', then 'NEW TASK' and finally, I typed the word 'explorer' in there.
That's all! Suddenly, all turn to normal like the day before the problem started. I was happy with it, I could use my Satellite A300 again!
However, it is an indirect way to do my work PC!
This means that I'm still fain to use this indirect way to make the icons and the taskbar appears.
This means that the 'explorer.exe' does not work?
Many programs registry I use notify me on some HKY... files that contain DATA NON. I have to let you know that the explorer.exe is located in the (empty) folders.
It indicates that transplant programs that I use, point out the problem I have?
    Can someone help me?

I don't want to use the safe option of FORMATTING (also known as the FORMAT).
    Thanks in advance,
    George A. Sebros

    Hello

Seems that your Vista is confused upward
You can try to clean the registry and operating system in order to avoid the new installation of the OS.
    Please use the CCLeaner.

I use this tool as well for free and it cleans the registry and other files at the time.
    It really helps!

But if the BONE still does not work properly then you should try a new installation
Of course, this procedure is radically because the HARD disk should be formatted, but on the other hand, you will get a clean and functional BONE
