• SQL Developer to MaxApex database connection

  Did he ever anyone else here use MaxApex?  I'm trying to implement the SQL Developer and toad to connect directly to our MaxApex database and I'm getting a ' ORA-12541: listener TNS:no "error.

  MaxApex gave me my login information, and they think that maybe it's my firewall is blocking the connection.  I opened the access to the port 1521 the firewall, but it did not help.

  I'm trying to export data in an Oracle database local using the Toolbox Database Connectivity.

  (I created my TEST table in the local Oracle database, I can access, write, read, etc. using SQL.) I also have the .dsn file that works with SQL)

  I'm trying to create a connection to a standalone installation Apex listener via SQL Developer to manage the settings of the listener. I start a new connection and after entering the a/PWD, administrator of the listener, I get the following error:

  You have configured your APEX to support the RESTful Service?

  Maybe there is something wrong with you RESTful, could you just start a new configuration of the listener from the apex to the step which asks you to enter the password for user(APEX_LISTENER,APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER) RESTful database, select 3 to skip this step.

  I write in an ETL process. I have a little problem with the clause of an insert error log.
  
  Here's the situation:
  
  A database is:
  Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production
  
  Database B is:
  Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi
  
  I have an A data source table and target a table in database B
  
  I have a package compiled into database B, which moves the data from A to B.
  
  A special SQL (running in the database package B) connects errors in an error table on a database link.
  
  When this SQL statement runs the client session connection to database B is disconnected. whatever the client tool (tried by SQL and SQL Developer * more)
  
  This happens when I run a SQL statement entirely to within the database B but always log errors to A.

  The session needs to see the package only. The very idea of the packaging must ensure that the session is not directly access the target table. The package makes the INSERT in the target_table and can also insert into the table of logging of errors.

  You are testing with the SQL commands outside of the package must be able to access the target table and the table of logging of errors. But once you put in a package, the package (probably in the schema to which belongs the target table and the table of logging of errors) will access tables.

• Oracle Database Vault ORA-12578 connection error: open TNS:wallet failed (user OS to access the wallet)

  I create a portfolio of oracle and everything works fine until a script is launched by the OS oracle user. (same user that whoever created the store)

  I use authentication external store and inside my script, I do something like a sqlplus / @MYSECURE_TNS.

  However, when I run a script OS another user as a 'data_loading_user' I get the error: Oracle Database Vault ORA-12578 connection error: TNS:wallet open failed

  I would like to know, how I can activate any user on the local host access the portfolio safe to connect to the database.

  Tried something out of the blue, that has worked.

  I added the data_loading_user of the user to the group administrator (Group of BONES that created the wallet).

  The I added the read permission to the group, so the permission on the files below were 640:

• SQL Developer CLI honor named connections in SQL dev

  While trying to run SQLDEV CLI, I get the error during command line call. Here's what I did-

  (1) created a unit test in SQl Developer

  (2) verified that it works correctly

  (3) open the command prompt and went to SQLdeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin dir.

  (4) called-> unittest sdcli64.exe - run - test - name "AWARD_BONUS_TEST" - repo UT_REPO - db HUB28. (name of the connection, the name of repo are same with SQL Developer)

  obtained after error-

  Oracle.jdeveloper.db.ConnectionException SEVERE: cannot connect to the HUB28 database. encountered error is: invalid connection information specified.

  Check the URL format for the specified driver.

  Jeff Smith Sqldev Pm-Oracle Gary Graham-Oracle , I was able to run tests using SDCLI, well, there is opposition Repository connection and target DB were setup in SQLDEV using connections based TNS, SQCLI has managed to connect repository but never target DB, once I changed the target DB for a named connection (providing Server, SID) it starts to work properly. Cross, I checked all the documents, but could not find any reason for this behavior. He can see that works similarly to the 3.1, 3.2, 4.0 EA1, 4.0 ai2 can you confirm that it is intended?

• I can't get a database connection.

  Background: I have already built two sites with databases using DW CS6, PHPMySQL and the same hosting company, so I know that they allow remote connections. (I developed using the remote host, because I have never found a tutorial for how to move all local XAMPP to my host - but well, it's been working well so far.)

  I set up the database using CPanel databases, added the user and the password, no problem. Entered PHP MySQL and adding a table, connected to the back and back, the table is there, as defined.

  In DW, I checked the server tests, tested the connection, and it connected successfully.

  Then I open a page for editing and added a database connection (just as I had done on the two previous sites that work very well). I named the connection, entered the password to the user, and tried to SELECT a database. No luck. HTTP 404 error. Manually, I added the database (the only one) and clicking test. Again not luck. FPPH 404 error.

  I double checked the testing server, double checked the DB information, and nothing seems to work.

  No idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks a lot if you can help.

  You can check with your host service.  Note you work by CPanel and so did I have some time back.  Had a similar problem, all worked locally but not on the online site.

  The connection strings MqSQL need to have the cPanel login ID by preceding the name of the database and the username

  (eg., I worked a tutorial (check_mag); DW has developed connection container file:

  $hostname_check_mag = "localhost";

  $database_check_mag = "php_test";

  $username_check_mag = "phptestuser".

  $password_check_mag = "Sue";

  $check_mag = mysql_pconnnect ($hostname_check_mag, $database_check_name, $username_check_mag, $password_check_mag) or trigger_error (mysql_error (), E_USER_ERROR);

  I was informed by the host support that $database_check_mag = "cpanelid_php_test" (for example: "zyxwvu_php_test") [where zyxwvu is formatted in the same way my cpanel id AND the variable $username.

  I don't use this host longer so don't know if they have changed things since then.  Worth a try!

  In my University they welcomed a database and we assigned to a user & pass it's how I was using SQL Developer,.
  but since I'm no longer a student at the University. I need to use the Oracle database.

  It's because you read the documentation.

  1158 is the default port for Enterprise Manager
  1521 is the default port for Sqlnet.
  Your port number is incorrect.

  Of course, you can create your tables in EM too.

  As by the Forums of the label of the post (first link when you arrive at this page) it is recommended that read the documentation before asking an another Doc issue yet.
