You will need to activate the card Radeon HD using the Catalyst Control Center.

Once you do that the adapter appears in Device Manager.

If you use the Intel HD graphics card, only the graphics card Intel will be seen in Device Manager.

I know that may seem strange, but it's one of the features of having a switchable graphics capable laptop computer.

DirectX 9 compatible .0c card with 128 MB RAM (NVIDIA FX 5900/ATI 9500 or better) and support for Pixel Shader 2.0.

    I'm glad to hear that.

Just to let you know, it is often the case with the monitors.

They will be the "default"setting, but still have the correct driver.

  • You want to upgrade the video card Radeon HD 7450. Suggestions welcomed

Just bought a new system of HP H8-1445.  Video card is suspicious performance wise.  I'm looking for a more powerful video card which will be with my power 460w wrk.

Here are the specifications of the system.   I'd rather not upgrade psu but will if necessary.

    TIA.

    Hello

Consult this document publication.  Be sure to measure inside your PC to let you know what video card size will fit.

The following maps should work if they match:

    EVGA GTX 660 - 9.5 "in length

    EVGA GTX 550 TI - 8, 3 "length

    EVGA GTX 650-6 "long

  • I need to make my video card to an ATI Raedon 6950; Power, size, and other required upgrades?

I have a HP Pavilion HPE210y desktop with quad AMD Phenom (tm) II x 4 945 processor, 8 GB of Ram and an ATI Raedon 5450 to 512 MB, and am under Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit...

If I buy the ATI Raedon 6950, are there other improvements will also need to be updated, such as the power supply (I don't know how to find this information), or if that card to insert in the case (I read others with a similar concern), and I don't know if I have a PCIe (x 16) expansion slot capable of taking the card.  And if it is PCIe 3.0 or 2.0.  Based on the age of the computer, it is probably 2.0 (this is around the age of 15 months).  Am I limited to the purchase of the 1024 Ram the Raedon 6950 Mg, where can I get the 2048?

I have three open above the current graphics card expansion slots, but am not sure if the length must be a matter of concern.

    Any thoughts?

  • My ATI x 800 XT video card will not work with Windows 7.

I have a pretty old AGP ATI x 800 XT card and it just doesn't work. I installed the last 9.5 drivers for 32-bit vista, and every time I launch the game it says that my drivers are up to date. I have windows 7 build 7100. Is there a way to make the update work? Is my card dead? What other ways can I measure the problem?

    Hello Karizzma,

Thank you for posting.  You can use the default Windows 7 video card drivers, because ATI has more new drivers that support your card.  Catalyst 9.4 and 9.5 drivers do not support your card.  They can't stand not mine and I have the Radeon x 1950 pro.  You might be able to try the old Vista drivers that Windows 7 will also use most of the Vista drivers as well.

  • How to connect the cables to an AMD Radeon HD 7450 video card for two monitors individual work?

I have a HP Pavilion p6-2360eo with the video card Radeon 7450 connected to a monitor of 23xi Pavilion.

Now, I want to add a monitor of 23xi more, but I do not understand how to connect the cables to the video card to get two logical screen (different views on each monitor)

Supposedly this monitor can connect to the video card, you have the HDMI connection.  Assuming that the first monitor is connected via DVI, then try a HDMI cable to the second.  I got this from the description of the video card on THIS page.

Support up to two displays at the same time in these configurations: DVI, HDMI and VGA + HDMI (using the included adapter cable)

  • Cannot install current device driver for the video card.

I get a "blue screen" or "stop error" message after my computer shuts down unexpectedly. He told me to attack the video device driver. I tried to go to the windows updates. Don't choose Custom/Hardware options. By saying that they must be done separately. Also can download the pack family thingy, but won't install it. Not sure if the 2 issues are related.

    Hi ginam4462,

    1. What is the exact stop error or message code?
    2. don't you make changes before the show?
3 you get an error message when trying to install the video card driver?

Please provide us with more details on the issue, so that we can better help you.

  • Three monitors on two AMD Radeon HD7470 video cards

I just got a Minitour OptiPlex 9010 with 2 dual AMD Radeon HD7470 1 GB graphics cards.  When I placed my order, I told them that I wanted to connect three monitors.  The VGA port has been inactive for other video cards have been installed.  I've been on technical support for more than three hours, when they finally decided to send a tech.  He was released the next day and told me that I needed a split adapter.  I ordered an and he hung up but there was showed the same jobs and I was unable to make changes to the resolution, etc.  Video cards have a DVI and a displayport.  I can connect a DVI monitor and others in the displayport and the monitor then third on the second video card?  Or can I just add another video card to the Tower?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hi pbondcb,

You must connect the first monitor to the DVI port and the second for the DisplayPort on the first graphics card. The second monitor must be connected to the DisplayPort with the appropriate cable. You can connect the monitor third DVI port on the second graphics card.  You must enable the display via the Catalyst Control Center under Windows, using the Eyefinity function. The third monitor works only in Windows.

I hope you find this information useful.

  • Satellite A210-1AP - video card no longer works play Call Of Duty 4

    Hello

I have problems with my video card.
When I was playing call of duty 4 5 minutes from my video card stops work and the restart of the screen.

Then he said: your video card no longer works and the problem solved.
My graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600.

    > Then he said: your video card no longer works and the problem solved.
    And? It works now?

Eventually the driver graphic hanging and that's why you have received this message.
It is also possible that the temperature of the GPU was too high and therefore the message appeared.
The COC 4 needs a lot of material resources and everything should run with maximum performance! Therefore, there are more high heat dissipation and this can lead to problems of graphics card.

  • Addition of dc7800 SFF video card: no video output

I bought an EVGA GeForce 210 graphics card to an HP dc7800p SFF.  PCIe low profile fits into the designated location and the fan works, so I don't know that it is powered.

When I install the card and the start-up of the machine, I get no video output at all.  There is no output over the connection video integrated dc7800.  It is perhaps as expected, because the technical documentation indicates that installing a PCIe x 16 graphics subsystem integrated card Devils.  However, there is no video output from the GeForce card either (from the VGA or digital outputs).

The machine appears at Startup OK, because I can hear the prompt for the power on password.  If I enter that password, I get audio confirmation that it has been entered correctly entered and remove the disk activity whereas Win7 initializes, I can't see because there is no video output.

I have updated the BIOS until the last level available about a week before, so I don't think it's a factor.

I've read other suggestions, which some suggest to disable the video through the BIOS Setup.  I hesitate to try this, because if I turn off the video installation, integrated GeForce card and it doesn't work, then I have a machine with no video and no way to reactivate the integrated graphical subsystem.

    Suggestions please.

    Hello:

    The Board may be faulty.

Even if the P/S of your model is only 240W, this card should work with a 240W P/S.

I also agree with you that it would be imprudent to trifle with the BIOS settings. That will lead you nowhere anyway.

The video card automatically disables the car video, and if you were to somehow anticipate that, Yes, you must reset the CMOS in order to retrieve your video. Not at all difficult to do, but why waste your time?

Now... Did you first uninstall the video drivers before installing new video card?

If this is not the case, there is an outside chance that is the question.  If you do not, remove video card, start the PC and uninstall the drivers for the on-board video.

    Reseat the video card.

You can also clear the CMOS and play the long shot.

See the guide below for how to do this.  It'll take you a few minutes. (Annex B, page 60).

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01162207/c01162207.PDF

In this way, you have done everything you can and then came to the conclusion that the card is bad or not compatible.

Return the card and get this one. $21.99 after discount. Comes with metal DVD/HDMI low profile.

The Radeon HD 6450 is an option card offered in the HP Elite 8200 Mini PC, which is more recent than the dc7800 a few generations, but it has the same P/S 240W.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814125404

BTW, when you install a video card to work with HDMI, your integrated audio system is also disabled.

So after installing the video drivers for the card, restart the PC, go into the BIOS, go to the menu of the device on board and change the audio settings shipped from disabled to enabled. Press the F10 key to save the setting and again when you go out.

You are welcome!  Thank you for the additional information.

As I suspected, your computer has a standard BIOS.  This means that you can buy an older video card.  I love EVGA products.  I suggest to find a card you like and contact Tech Support from the manufacturer (Technical Support EVGA 1-888-880-3842) in order to ensure that it will work on your computer.  It is the best way I found to do not have to make a return.  The last card done EVGA used a standard BIOS was their 640 GT.  Some of them have a update for the VBIOS that allows them to run with a standard BIOS.

Now for the power supply (PSU).  I love Corsair products.  I normally recommend at least 500W.  This allows for future updates.  A modular power supply is good for smaller cases.  Simply use the required cables, allowing a better air circulation.  You must measure the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  All connectors must be compatible.
