Device Manager and network connections either both empty

This problem is identical to a released for Windows XP - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953979/en-us

I found similar problems raised on these forums of users running Windows 7 and have tried all the fixes, but without success. One thing that I was not able to do, is stop the plug-and-play service, so it can be restarted. All options are grayed out. Grateful for any suggestion.

I had already concluded that nothing else that a reinstall of Windows would solve this problem. That having been done and everthing back in working order, I want to thank everyone for their contributions.

  • Blue indicator of Win 7 circle network ALSO hang Device Manager and MSE does not

I have a strange problem since the recent windows updates.

Indicator of network in the bar tasks displays a blue circle for about 20 minutes after I start the computer. During this time I can't run regedit, I can't open the Device Manager, and I can't seem to activate the protection in real time to Microsoft Security databases. However all the time I have internet and network access.
After about 20 minutes the light will come back normal (sometimes it goes through a Red Cross first), date at which the computer then runs everything normally, if I have my phone on, I get the auto run screen, Device Manager works and I can also start MSE.
It's as if the computer is waiting for something to happen. Device problem? However, all devices appear to work normally.
The latest updates, I made were optional for monitor HP and Microsoft mouse and a keyboard, both of which work well in the era of 'blue circle '.
I also tried updating the adapter software.
It is not important, but it's annoying!

    Hi Carmen,.

The blue circle on the network icon indicates that the system is looking for a network connection.

If it appears at the start, then start the modem and the router before you start the computer.

  • Treo 800w not found in Device Manager and does not connect to ActiveSync

I just got my Treo 800w and I have ActiveSync it once.  After that, I had a lot of trouble trying to get activesync to say that it was connected to the computer.  After doing some research on Google and help forums looking around, I discovered that the Treo should appear in my device manager when you are connected to the computer.  I went to my device manager and of course, it wasn't there.  After a lot of time trying to make it work, I found that the best thing to do is remove the battery and plug it in again.  Then the computer will find again.

However, I also learned what was causing my problem and I don't know if it's a windows or a problem of palm, but it is a question.  If you connect a Treo 800w on a WinXP (I don't have Vista so I don't know if this problem exists) and even if you touch it connected the power button on all Windows POPs a message saying a USB device has malfunctioned and will cease to recognize the device.  I then told my wife (the main user of the Treo) to never touch the power button and even less the Treo at all while it is plugged into the computer.

If this question has already been posted... I'm sorry that I'm not looking for it...

If you read my entire post it says I already found the solution.  Try all the things you listed didn't work for my problem.  I write only because I believe that it is a bug/problem with palm or windows and the device.  Take the battery, put the battery back in, and reconnect the unit is the only thing that works.

I also tried to uninstall ActiveSync, reboot, install ActiveSync and the battery... it works too, but it's much faster to just remove the battery then put it back and reconnect the device.

To answer your other question on ActiveSync Yes, I've got 4.5.

    How do understand you?

  • WLC with ACS 5.1 (RADIUS) for management * AND * Network users

    Hello

I have authentication RADIUS of installation for the users of the network AND management on my NM - WLC (5.2 ongoing execution) against ACS 5.1

    My Question is:-

For users to log in to Admin, I need to come back "Service-Type = Administrative - User" in order to make it work.

Because the ACS sees all applications from the same device (WLC) for Admin and network users,

the way I am currently treats it is by creating a filter based on the user name

Thus, users that contain 'admin' in their ID, use a set of

Network access policy authorization, who has an authorization associated with the attributes RADIUS profile.

Normal users have a ' network access policy authorization different rule ", with a different profile.

While this DOES WORK fine, still me I was wondering if there is a better way to do it, rather than create a rule

    based on the user name.

I could use GANYMEDE + for the management, but I don't think that ACS allows the same client AAA (WLC) to use both protocols.

    Thank you

I think it's something very common for things to do

You may notice that ACS 5 comes preinstalled with a selection policy of service that differentiates them the Protocol-based queries and orders or service 'Access to the network by default' or "Default Device Admin" out of the box

If you want only to RAY can either disable or delete the rule for applications of GANYMEDE + or not choose GANYMEDE + in the definitions of the unit

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus does not connect through the Device Manager but will connect bij Win7.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus that works very well with some computers connected via ethernet.

On a new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate edition, HP Device Manager can't find the printer, even when I give IP address.

When I try to add a new printer network in Windows (add printer) windows detects the printer less than a second.

I need the hp Device Manager configuration so I can use all the options off the officejet.

    Problem solved.

The printer has a fixed IP address and the customer got his IP by DHCP. By dhcp, dns suffix has been changed so the printer dns suffix and the client does not mach.

Now the printer receives its IP address by the dhcp server. The dhcp server always gives the same address to the printer.

  • Photon: Dropped calls and network connectivity problems

I bought my Photon August 18 and he was not long for me first to the problems with network connectivity.

The phone displays signal on the phone, but when you try to call, send text messages or surf the web. Zilch.

A soft reset works every time. I've had some experience with the issue of the "appeal of ghosts", but had no network connectivity so often that he was too much a problem. Restores the soft 3-4 per day.

I took the phone to the Sprint store and they told me that my phone verified and were not hardware problems that may be found. I said at the time on the update of the software of MR5 and was anxious to see how the phone after the update.

I received the update on Wednesday and the phone worked fine. No appeal of ghost, no network connectivity not problems, only dropped the call.

Now, Friday morning, I lost network connectivity despite seeing the strength of the signal and had to perform a soft reset to regain connectivity. My wife and I bought this phone at the same time. She had many calls interrupted before the update and we both experienced after that update eventhough signal showing on the phone is at least two if not more bars.

Is this a known issue? Is it going to be/CAN this be corrected by a software update? Is this phone a lemon and he'll remember?

I LOVE this phone. I don't want to get rid of it, but...

Seriously. It's a phone! Making calls should be the FIRST thing that is done right.

Please, someone, Motorola, reassure me that this isn't a lemon and that network problems are going to be fixed. I CAN wait, but I don't want to get stuck with two phones for $200 that need to be pampered just to be usable.

    Thank you

    TC

Yes, it turns out that be was a buggy phone. Two stores tested Sprint phone for reception of the signal and they said that it spent; but as said the technician in the second store, the tests they take place the phone in ideal conditions.

The two stores I've visited, said they were ready to replace the phone, but my first visit came just before the MR5 update software while I was willing to wait to see if the update corrects the problem. It didn't, but the replacement of the second store phone works fine with upgrading to MR5 and really no problem.

I'll go ahead and mark this question as a response, but if you experience the same problems of chance complete loss of all network connectivity (Sprint or otherwise), I recommend getting the phone replaced. It is a bad camera.

Oh and the technician at the second store mentioned the network problems. It has been a problem for them, but the most telling proof of the issue of network is random dropped calls. So if from time to time, you lose a call under the conditions of good network signal, it's probably not your phone and Sprint. I have almost that many abandoned calls as of late, so it could have been the wrong phone I had that really amplified the problem... or... Sprint has got some of the bugs in our region.

Thank you for looking in. I hope that your problems are as easy to solve as mine and I hope that you are still within your 30 days so that you get a new replacement.

    Best wishes
