Devices and printers takes a long time to open

In Windows 7, the devices and printers open almost instantly. In Windows 8 Pro x 64, devices and printers takes almost 30 seconds to open, and it takes a long time whenever I open it. How can I shorten the time required for the devices and printers to open?

Before you answer, please note the following:
  • I don't get an error message when I open devices and printers.
  • I have not made any recent hardware or software changes to the computer.
  • I experience the same behavior when Windows 8 starting in a boot environment.

My problem is solved.

Instead of wasting time on generic solutions, I should look for a specific cause from the start. In my case, the problem was with my scanner. In devices and printers, I open my scanner and selected properties of analysis. On the events under Actions tab, Windows had chosen to 'Interrogate what program to run.' I changed it to "Start this program" and choose my scanner software in the drop-down list.
Devices and printers now opens almost instantly.

    More memory to an application.

    Hello...

Try not to have too many applications running at the same time, you use Photoshop. Freeing system resources.

Adobe recommends up to 8 GB of RAM here > https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

You can see how much memory is installed on your Mac by clicking on your Apple  menu then click on about this Mac, then make sure that the "View" tab is selected.

    Hello

That's how I've always changed the number of cells, after which display the message on the forms of data.

There are 2 levels of adjustment. You can configure the application level, but users must select "Use Application Defaults" in the planning of the preferences of the user parameters. To do this, use the file-> Preferences and select schedule.

Otherwise, you can set the value of the number of cells at the level of the user for ' warn if data form more xxxx ". It should solve the problem. This should be the installation program if you have not selected checkbox default Application for the user in the preferences of planning.

  • After that effects 2015.3 takes a long time to open, left after the closing process running

My AE 2015.3 takes very long time to start. He gets the message "Initializing MediaCore" on the splash screen and then hangs there for 1-3 minutes. It opens also a ton of "Adobe After Effects 2015.3" tasks in the Task Manager, leaving them running even after I quit the program.

Here is what my task manager looks at this time (no AE running)

    AECrazy.jpg

    So far, what I've done:

1 uninstalled all Adobe software, including Adobe CC Panel

2 uninstalled all 3rd party plugins, scripts, and presets

    3. manually deleted all files from adobe - complete cleaning

    4. re-installed AE and some other programs

(all with reboot between the two).

    No difference.

    Help?

Apparently, nVidia GeForce drivers are at fault. The break of v368.81 WHQL way Adobe applications communicate with Media Core, make After Effects, first and slow speed Grade, leaving the additional processes in their wake and spoil some plugins 3rd party.

Returning to a previous driver nVidia solved all the problems.

  • Windows Media Player takes a long time to open and search

Slow initialization of WMP 12, research and classification.

    IM under W7 Ultimate 64.
When I start WMP12 it takes much more time to initialize that WMP11 on vista, 2 minutes before I can even start by selecting music.
If I do a search it also picks up a similar amount of time and locks (graying out, slider timer). Once I have a bunch of songs loaded on the screen, say a playlist with 200 songs and then click a tab as a note it takes 30 seconds to REList per category during this time it hangs again.
I have about 40,000 songs in my library. I have rebuilt the library and the database now resides on a second disc which did not make a difference.

    (1) what someone else with similar problems and found a solution?
    (2) is it possible to replace it with WMP11 which worked perfectly and was much more intuitive?
    (3) can anyone recommend a replacement player who has gapless playback and fast database access?

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    8. in addition, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software problem on your computer.

This isn't because you have too much, but maybe it loads slowly because many of information processes that are running at the same time.

Run MSCONFIG and check the Startup tab.
Here you can see all the processes that will be launched at the start of the system s for laptop.
Check the unique processes and disable some that aren't really needed.

I see that you use Norton

  • Panel before application takes a long time to open

I have an application that opens quickly on a single computer and takes a lot of time on another.  What is happening is the icon in the taskbar, but the front panel does not open for a certain period of time.  Both computers are running Windows 7 and the application has been generated in LV 2010.  The main objective of the applications is the capture of images from a USB camera. Communications to the camera is made using .NET components that have been developed by the manufacturer of the camera.

I was hoping someone could give some ideas on where to start troubleshooting?

    Terry

I had this issue on a computer that couldn't access the network.

This is because .NET tries to access the network. You can run this application on a computer connected to the internet? I think you need to uncheck some options

    Panel--> options Internet--> advanced

I think that the three I unchecked were: 'Check the CRL of the editor', 'activate integrated Windows authentication' and 'the server certificate revocation checking. " I'm not sure of the exact 3 I unchecked, but him give a try. Good luck!

  • First pro takes a long time to open

    Hello

I recently installed the latest version of first (2015.4) on a Windows 7 x 64 service pack 1.

    Config: Intel (r) CPU Xeon X 5660 2.80 GHz 2.80 GHz (2processors).  -40 GB of RAM

There's a blackmagic decklink which works well with the first. An internal RAID5 have been added to the computer.

When I try to launch the pro first by clicking on the icon or open a project, the startup screen and load the stuffs, everything looks good. When he writes "initialization of the application", the splash screen disappears. The first pro icon is not highlighted more. Adobe Premiere pro is still in process in the Manager list task. Nothing happens for 10-15 minutes. After that first pro appears and everything works in it...

I cleaned the trash prefs and uninstalled, reinstalled Premiere pro.

He not take this time early in the week, he was quick and direct. I don't have this problem for other adobe (for example media encoder) applications.

Thanks in advance to pay attention to my problem.

A few thoughts that come to mind are to check and remove any third-party firewall and antivirus.

You could also try creating a new user account Admin and see how it works there.

  • SOUL really takes a long time to open the encoding settings

With the release of the SOUL 2014 versions, I've known wait times very long to open the encoding of employment settings. For example, if I add a sequence of images 1920 x 1080 to the encoder, choose Quicktime as the container and one of the available codecs, by clicking on the name of the codec to open its settings causes a very long delay, maybe 3 minutes, before the dialog box opens. I use a Macbook Pro with Yosemite. Previous versions before 2014 version has never had this problem. Is this a known issue?

    THX

It is a known problem with SOUL running on Yosemite. We are working with Apple on the issue and hope it will be fixed in a next OS update.

  • Microsoft keyboard takes a long time to open the Favorites

I have a Microsoft ergonomic Natural Keyboard 4000, it works great but there is this problem that I can not get rid.

all keys work properly, same custom and all functions, but the shortcut 5 Favorites buttons on top that I attributed to 5 different sites:

    1 http://www.google.com
    2 http://www.youtube.com
    3. http://www.facebook.com
    4 http://www.outlook.com
    5 http://www.twitter.com

So, there is nothing strange there.

When I press a button, I expect to open the default browser and load the Web page.

When the computer is idle, it takes about one or two seconds to occur.
With several programs, it takes 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
When computer heavy load, it will do nothing.

I thought it might be the web browser, hang up, but if I press a button, and nothing happens, I can open the browser manually and instantly appears.

I have updated about 6 months of a Logitech Cordless Desktop comfort keyboard which has 4 keys shortcut and even at 100% cpu, these buttons work (still) not instantly as expected, if it's not my computer.

IM using Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center 2.0 for Windows 7, just after a clean reinstall.

There could be a lot of causes for the behavior you describe, but start with the simpler:

    1. reaffirm Internet Explorer as the browser in the default CUSTOM (<>) Set Program Access and defaults of the computerarticle.

    2. right-click on the following link & select SAVE TARGET under... to download/save the file on your desktop: http://www.slipstick.com/problems/reg/chromehtml.reg [1]

    2. double-click the file that you saved in # 2 above & accept invites him to MERGE with the registry data.

    3. IMPORTANT - DON'T SKIP THIS STEP! Open Internet Explorer (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 of => [ignore the warnings of DO NOT APPLY] & run the difficulty.

Note: For best results, make sure the option Remove personal settings .

4 restart once again & test those assigned buttons with Internet Explorer by default.

Stop it!  Please do NOT affirm all other browsers by default yet!

    5. answer this post with a status report. Also tell me if IE8, IE9 or IE10 is installed.
