  I'm relatively new to the labviw. I wrote a program (in labview 7.1) to contact generator of Princeton Reserch systems delay DG-535 using GPIB. It works very well! However, I have a little problem here. As soon as I have the DG535 communication using labview program it blocks the manual operation of the DG535. Even after I stop the program, I can't access all channels. I have to restart the DG535 to operate it manually and it repeates every time that I try to communicate via GPIB using my vi. I tried closing the labview to see if communication is complete and I can access the DG535 maually, but it did not work. Someone in this forum had the same problem? If it of normal or not. If this is not normal, so what is the solution to put an end to the DG535 via GPIB communication and reactivate the manual access without retarting the DG535.

  It is quite normal for an instrument to stay in remote mode. Most of the instruments have a "local" button Alternatively, you can issue a command to GPIB GTL (go to Local) with VISA.

• How to put in place of the daq hardware several lists on a shield with ecu mc toolkit?

  Anyone has the pleasure to set up multiple lists on an ECU data acquisition?

  I use MC Addon for Labview ECU 2011.  I can successfully a single list of acquisition of configuration data and read the data correctly.  This method uses the DAQ list mode to initialize instead of polling, it really cuts down ensuring CAN.

  I do not have my VI on this PC, but it's basically ECU Connect > initialize ECU DAQ list (sample rate and channel list sets) > ECU transmit DAQ list to ECU > DAQ Start list > LOOP {ECU read}

  I need to create a second list for the acquisition of data to sample at a different pace.  Any ideas?

  After lotta research and reding, on this question of BIS, the conclusion is that we cannot use BIS to connect to our demand for the Internet, as it is. BIS requires that we go through BlackBerry ISV Alliance program.

  I just wanted to share this information with others, if anyone has the same problem. And please correct me if my conclusion is wrong here.

• Using the DAQ assistant voltage vs time graph

  I'm relatively new to all Labview and terms and everything which affects programming. I've read tutorials and everything trying to understand things. One thing that I have a problem is the DAQ assistant. Now, if I wanted to place the DAQ assistant on the block diagram of labview and I have everything set up so that the voltage will travel in the DAQ hardware, how would I set up my block diagram so that I can get a graph of voltage vs time in which data begin recording until the voltage reaches a certain tension I was inputing and change such as 30 or 40 volts. The data will also stop recording when the voltage reaches the same number. I also want to be able to multiply the number of voltage coming out a number that I can change myself before it is graphed over time. Example, I mean the voltage to start recording when he reached 40 volts. Now when the voltage comes out of allows it to DAQ assistant say he is somewhere read 10 volts and the number I want to multiply by 5. So, I want to be able to multiply the voltage by 5 and then since it will be 50, it would begin graphing this number over time.

  You would need to have a Boolean value which controls whether the (amplified) voltage is greater than N.

  If so, he would send this value to a graph, if not, the tension would not get graphically.

  Now I have a sensor capability and hardware DAQ 24 bit (http://www.mccdaq.com/usb-data-acquisition/USB-2404-10.aspx).

  The DAQ hardware has the 50kS/s maximum sampling rate. My question is how to define the range of data collection. For example, if I set the sampling rate of 2000, continuous sample mode, I use read.vi DAQmx in a while loop and set the "number of samples per channel" to 100. I want to plot these data over time using a XY Chart and also save this data. So I add a 'Medium' function to get the average of 100 samples per each loop (medium, there are 20 release of data per second). But when I put a 'number of samples per channel' much more small (for more data per second), there are a few problems. It seems that the program cannot read the data as much and get the average at a higher frequency. I don't know where is the problem. Overall, the collection of data more frequently? Maybe I didn't articulate my question. I'll upload a simple program later if necessary. Thank you.

  the SCB-100 connection block incorporates any kind of conditioning of signals. All of the feaures of the SCB-100 are noise rejecting, shielded i/o connector. Nothing else. You can use your custom cable.

• The choice between 3 sound cards.

  I use system of integrated sound of my computer (chip Realtek 888) for about 4 years, but have always wanted to have the best sound quality.  Based on the comments I've read on this forum, I narrowed the choice up to three cards.  It was not mentioned on this forum, but it has big plug and generally good reviews.  The three cards are listed below, with their advantages and disadvantages, as I see them.  What would be your advice.

  My main uses for the card will be digitizing vinyl records, vinyl record, band 1/4 ", CD and tuner for now, voice recording (will have to pre - amp mike and mike, but will post on this in the future), will be expanded to live music, recording in the future to short/medium.  I wish only in stereo, not 5.1, 7.1 etc..  While I would like entered S/PDIF, the ASUS card is overwhelmingly the best choice for other reasons, I can't live without S/PDIF inputs.

  Please keep in mind that I have VERY good hearing and it is very well trained.  Really, I have the audiometery test results to prove it.

  Of course it does - it wouldn't have a shield in the opposite case, it would be a conductor. And this isn't at all the same thing. Join the screening at both ends for the points on the ground usually makes things worse, not better. To work properly, a shield of screening has only to be connected to one place.

  And no, ASUS are not cards pro audio. Personally, I would choose the E-MU, and I wouldn't worry about the extension cables too. all you have to do is ensure that when it is connected, they don't move a lot and they are certainly going to be fine.
