difference of xfa

Hello

I'm changing some old forms that have been developed by someone else. and I'm scratching my head to understand the JavaScript in there

I have a lot of forms to work on through the java script makes me nervous (I have no experience of programming).

My question is, can someone explain to me the difference between and when they are used

xfa.host.messageBox

XFA. Layout

XFA. Form

I've seen these used frequently but have no idea of when use what.

can someone explain to me briefly on this subject.

Thanks in advance

Hello

xfa.host.messageBox - simple messageBox as alert Javascript in web browsers

xfa. Layout - represents the root of the layout model. Has some useful methods such as xfa.layout.relayout ();

xfa. Form - represents the root of the form template. To access a field, you can use xfa.form.purchaseOrder.tax

Also check the enclosed documents.

    I tried to understand the difference between xfa.event.change and xfa.event.newText in google, but has not seen such a!

    Pls can you clariy my question that what is the differenvce between these 2 (xfa.event.change and xfa.event.newText)?

    Thank you

    Hello

    boxes do not generate a change of value, so you need another way to prevent bechecked if any other field is empty.

    A solution to this script in the event: click your checkbox.

    if (xfa.resolveNode("myFomr.Page2.mySubform21.BankNumber").isNull) {
              this.rawValue = "0";
    }

  • What are the differences between the xfa.resolveNode, xfa.resolveNodes, SOM

    I would like to know the differences between the xfa.resolveNode, xfa.resolveNodes, SOM Relative and absolute som

    In which case I have to use that one. In general, without xfa.resolveNode, we work with SOM Relative or absolute som

    Simple example, we can get the value using "form1.page.TextField1.rawValue".

    Hello

    Here is a good article that describes the difference in the resolveNode and resolveNodes methods.

  • What is the difference between Pro Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer 8.1ES?

    Hello

    What is the difference between Pro Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer 8.1ES?

    Thank you

    Hello

    They are two different programs.

    Acrobat

    This can be used to generate other types of document native PDF files. In addition, you can create forms that are called AcroForms. These retain most of the functionality that looks like in Acrobat to comment on.

    The form IS a PDF file.

    Acrobat is avialable for Windows and Mac.

    LiveCycle Designer

    This program is used to develop forms and is completely separate from Acrobat. The forms are called XFA forms, which means XML Forms Acrhitecture. The focus is quite the processing of data.

    While the forms that are created in the designer of the LC can be opened in Acrobat (Reader), they are not native PDF files and some of the features normally is not available. For example, while you can add data to the fields when the form is opened in Acrobat, you can not change the form itself in Acrobat. If you want to change the form, you will need to open again in LC Designer.

    It comes with the Windows of Acrobat Pro version. There isn't a Mac version of LC Designer.

    It's a broad overview brush, it could be useful.

  • Pls let me know what is 'xfa.record '?

    Hello

    I'm developing an interactive form with Java script and I am a beginner to this java script (am a professional in the another programming language).

    When I first saw google, I found as below,

    (1) var onodeVALS = xfa.resolveNodes ('xfa.record.Classification.ClassNode [+ i +]. (ClassLeaf [*] .value');

    Here please let me know

    What is "XFA"?

    WHT is 'resolveNodes '?

    WHT the programmer wants to do?

    What is meant by '+' and [*] and ' ++'?

    Even MORE,.

    if ($.rawValue eq 'value_A')

    (1) here which is the dollar sign "$"?

    (2) a few times, I've seen... like "$record".

    WHT is '$record '?

    Thank you

    Hello Srinivas,

    "$record" - means the current record of a collection of data, such as an XML file.

    For example, $record.header.txtOrdered is reference the txtOrdered node in the header of the current XML node.

    And xfa is a very typical thing used in LiveCycle Designer to follow the link to clear your doubts

  • Display Retina HD iPhone can 7 you tell the difference?

    Anyone from the 6 or SE to iPhone 7? Can you really the difference in the display with the HD retina? Is it REALLY cleaner and sharper? not the camera. Just the screen in general.

    The Visual difference won't necessarily be in clarity, the pixel counts are roughly the same. The PPI is a little higher on the 7.

    It will be the widest color range that is visible and not for all things. For the most part in the pictures where there are a wide range of tones and colours. The new screens are capable of being 25% brighter, that wouldn't be visible at full intensity and especially sensitive to the ambient light, like outdoors.

    So, I do not think that cleaner, or the crisper is what you saw.

  • Difference between different models (sold in different regions) of the iPhone 7

    I'm traveling to the Japan, and it turns out that my phone broke. So, I plan to buy iPhone 7. But I noticed that there are different models according to the countries or regions. According to Apple customer service, it has to do with different bands of LTE in different regions. But exactly the same bands that WE supported the Japanese model (which is completely separate from all other) / version of the EU with the exception of it's CDMA.  She would work very well after my return to Europe (Germany)? Where can I buy non-CDMA, GSM version for the Japan as well.

  • Export of difference JPG high or Max JPG?

    I noticed, as others before me, that quality JPG exported files are much smaller than the MAX quality JPG files exported. Can someone explain the differences? I did some tests and to the naked eye (mine) images do not look so different on the screen (retina). But MAX exports are often almost twice as HIGH exports.

    What is happening with this?

    Obviously, the difference will be apparent at higher magnifications.

    All that is good enough for your export venture, but maintain the original file at its original resolution. You never know what you might need in the future quality.

  • What is the difference in processors for Macbook Air?

    I currently have a 2012 13-inch Macbook Pro. Its processor is 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5.

    I'm looking to get a new laptop, something more light, so I was watching the macbook air.

    What is the difference between getting 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 and 2.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core i7? Other than the extra to upgrade $170. It is worth to pay that? I'm a student, so not really rolling in money.

    I'll just use it for the usual, surf the web for research and social media, spotify, itunes library, large library, some photo editing, imessage. I feel that that's what most people are doing, then what is the best for the average man?

    In addition, what is the significance in storage? I'm not sure what my mac pro has, but is it worth it to upgrade to the flash 512 GB PCle - based, storage or I couldn't stick with the 256 GB?

    Account of your not doing much with your mac in addition to what is its main purpose, I recommend save money for a processor and possibly buy more RAM (Random Access Memory) it helps with multitasking like surfing on the web.

    It also depends on the amount of memory you want. If your photos are of high quality and there are many, improved storage isn't bad.
