Differences between Vista and Windows XP BIOS on Satellite A200 - 13 M
Hello!
I'm new to the forum, so I apologize if already, this question has been asked.
I have a Satellite A200 - 13 M (PSAE6) with windows xp. As my computer crash, I send in the recovery and I pick it up today. I've noticed that people who fix my computer Flash the bios with the 1.70v bios for Vista...
I would like to know if they are the differences between a bios for vista and one for xp?
As I have Xp installed, can I Flash the bios with a bios designed for xp? (5.30v)
thx a lot.
The difference between the BIOS is BIOS XP allows the FN XP keys and some other features, so the same does the Vista BIOS. There are other things of compatibility based intaglio the BIOS.
In your case, please install the BIOS for WIndows XP.
Welcome them

For example if with the fisrt one my laptop works for two hours, it can with the second work for three hours (do the same things)I just want to know the differences in their perfomances...
The battery 9 cells is of about 1/3 stronger than the battery 6 cells and therefore it needs hard 1/3 longer than the battery 6 cells.

Difference between Vista OEM and retail
Hello
I want to buy windows vista Home premium for my pc at home. But I'm quite confused, because there are different versions of windows vista. is someone can you please tell me what is the difference between vista home premium OEMAct and SP2.
can I use the original product key to windows vista Home premium OEMAct, which is printed below my laptop, for a new installation of windows vista Home premium sp2. Please I need answer ASAP. Thank you very much
You can use the product key on the bottom of your laptop computer to reinstall Vista on this laptop only.
The content of the operating systems are the same, whether OEM or retail license.
Read this about the license:
If your computer is pre-installed with Vista, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.
The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptopIf a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.A single license is a single Installation.
SP stands for Service Pack, which is to improve the Performance and safety of all support Vista.
There was 2 Packs of published Service, up to this date, for Vista.
See you soon.

Re: Satellite A200-1DY: is the difference between 32-bit & 64-bit BIOS
I have laptop Satellite A200 and I doubt if there are differences between Vista 32 and 64 of the Bios. Or is the same Bios?
My question is because in the last days I installed Home Premiun 64 bits, but my Bios is for Vista 32-bit, but everything works fine on the laptop.
Should I change the Bios for 64-bit or 32-bit Bios should I leave?
Thank you
Hi again ;)
I think that there is a difference between the two versions of the BIOS; 32-bit and 64-bit, but please don t ask me what exactly is the difference. ;)
I didn t find details on the differences.I guess that the BIOS 64-bit supports 64-bit processors and the 64-bit software benefits, but it is only a hypothesis
However, I think that you don t need to go to the BIOS version of 64-bit if your laptop running stable and using the 32-bit version without problem.

In the past, I've confirmed that optional udates be installed. Please help: now I want to uninstall optional updates because my computer is slow. How to tell the difference between recommended, and optional updates long after they have installed bene?
Hey monkey 44,

What is the difference between upgrade and custom installation options?
Hello
How to do a clean install:
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html
Sometimes the only way to upgrade is to do a clean install,
" Upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 "
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/upgrading-from-Windows-XP-to-Windows-7#T1=tab01
To upgrade your Windows XP computer to Windows 7, you will need to select custom during installation of Windows 7. A custom installation keeps your programs, files or settings. It is sometimes called a 'clean' for this reason installation.
"Upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7"

You then have the repair facility, which is an In = Place Upgrade.

Difference between 'Reload' and "Reload (Override Cache)"?
Https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly#w_navigation, what is the difference between 'Reload' and "Reload (Override Cache)"? What makes "ignore cache"?
Reloading Web pages and cache bypass aims to obtain a new copy of perhaps obsolete or damaged files currently stored in the disk cache.
You can do it like the first attempt if a normal charging does not seem to provide a version of a Web site or if you are having problems with a Web site otherwise. We usually have advice that if you have questions:
Reload Web pages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.
- Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
- Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
- Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)
Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":- Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.
'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:
- Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if an extension or theme (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problems.

Difference between (minidump) and (memory.dmp)?
Separated from this thread.
is there a difference between (minidump) and (memory.dmp) I use windows 10
The main difference is size. Memory dumps are larger and contain a bit more information.
In most situations, it is best to configure the computer to produce a dump of memory the kernel in case of system failure. A complete memory dump is a very large file to manage so it is more convenient to work with kernel images of memory when you try to resolve the blue screen errors.
I suggest that you change your dump file settings to produce an image kernel memory. Select the hotkey Win + X , Control Panel, system, advanced system settings, Advanced tab, and click the button settings to start recovery. Under system failure, select the checkboxes before to write an event to the system log and restart automatically. Change the option Write debugging information by using the scroll to the right for image kernel memory. Click OK , and in the next window, click apply and OK. Restart your computer to apply the changes.
