Differences in memory VM

Hi when we open a virtual computer to a customer of VI, in the Summary tab, it shows the following information about memroy.

Memory:

Overload memory:

Use of Memeory host:

Use of the memory of comments:

Can someone tell me the difference between them? For more information, please find attached the screenshot.

Memory is the memory setting that you configured in the virtual machine (set when the virtual machine has been created or updated by going to the properties of the Virtual Machine)

Memory overhead is the amount of memory required by ESX for an interview. Who is affected by the amount of memory configured for the virtual machine, the number of vCPUs, etc. (you can change the values for an engine off the coast of the VM and see the effects on memory overload)

Host memory usage is the amount of memory that is using the virtual machine running the host. There are some things that happen to a VM running to save memory, so use of host memory, memory

The use of memory is the amount of memory that is actively used by the virtual machine.

http://communities.VMware.com/thread/62628 has a good discussion and links about the memory usage

  • Difference between memory settings

    Hello
When I checked in my database, I saw these memory settings in my pfile file and I see that duplicate values.
can you tell me the difference between
    Instance1.__db_cache_size = 939524096
    Instance2.__db_cache_size = 1040187392

    and

    * .db_cache_size = 1342177280

which is justifiable? and what is the purpose of these two different ones?

allows a we have 2 node RAC DB

I want to put a parameter that must have the same value on both cases, lets say, I want to set db_cache_size even in both cases, so I'll use following:

    * .db_cache_size =

But later I decided I want to increase or decrease the size of the DB_CACHE_SIZE on one of the instnace leaves the floor on the first instnace

so, I'm going to enter as follows:

    instance_1.db_cache_size =

So, in pfile, you will see these two values, but the specific parameters of the instance (IE instance_1.db_cache_size) will be a substitute to the
parameters of the large cluster (*.db_cache_size)

coming to the second node, we have not specify the input related to it, so size of second instance will be identical to the value of the *.db_cache_size parameter

  • Qosmio G30 / G35 - differences of memory, sound, speaker of extreme bass, touchpad?

I would like to know what European models of G30 European series touchpad LCD, where the calendar is able to show, for example?
What is the memory of it, 533 MHz or 667 MHz bus speed?

Why is there no subwoofwers in the Qosmio series, in addition to 2 built-in speakers?
And its acoustics fully material or hard/software (AFAIK there is Sigmatel codsec)?

Then, East-G35-AV650 has LCD touchpad, is bus memory speed 667 MHz in there?
And is it possible to change the TV tuner USA format to the Russian G35-AV650 format?

    Hello Sasha

First of all I must tell you that you are very optimistic guys if you think that you will find here an expert for Toshiba European and US products market. ;)

I can tell you that Toshiba Europe and Toshiba U.S. are like two different companies and the philosophy of the product is completely different.

G30 European uses the speed of the DDR2-667 memory bus. Usually the TV tuner is depending on the country and cannot be traded, but maybe in Russia is implement everything.

Sorry, but I don't have more information.

    Good bye

  • difference of memory between original and vm

The machine that I created my VM to has an Intel Core Duo (E8500) 3.16 GHz with 3.25 GB of RAM (actually 4GB, but damn XP does not recognize all)

My iMac has an Intel Core Duo @ 2.4 GHz with 4.0 GB RAM.

When I discovered my system to my virtual machine properties, it shows only 512 KB of RAM.  Why is it important?  My performance is MUCH slower that dribble the BootCamp partition, is this normal?

I think 512 MB is the default value of RAM in a Virtual Machine from Windows XP and also that when your partition Boot Camp in a Virtual Machine running you can't give him the same amount of RAM you have when running Native because there would be nothing left for OS X.  Basically your just using Boot Camp partition of the physical disk as disk hard virtual machines and for most, not all, the rest of the hardware Machines virtual being virtualized.

You can change the amount of RAM available to the Virtual Machine in its settings and note that this must be done when it is stopped, not suspended.

  • x1420g memory

I have a 64-bit x1420g and I want to know if I can improve memory from 4 GB to 8 GB. I can't get a positive answer anywhere. Thank you

I just checked with the essential tool to advise. Only Aspire X1420G-U5832 supports 8 GB but not the other models (only 4 GB).

I think it's the CPU makes the difference of memory capacity.

  • HP dc7600SFF-setting updated to W7pro - 4 GB memory 3 recognized, 25 GB usable

I certainly would like an explanation as to why this happens so I can explain to my boss who ordered these parts to upgrade these systems-HP dc7600sff. This memory has been tested in other systems besides that these and there is no problems indicated. I even tested these systems with HP Insight Diagnostics CD v7.6.2 Rev A that recognizes all four gigabytes (4096 MB - no ECC), each slot with 1024 DDR2 (667 Mhz). Another line of the test says "Memory Dual Channel Mode is enabled".  No error messages are seen so that Windows 7pro starts, again, go it into the control panel and the system displays indeed 4 GB installed, but only 3.25 GB usable. As the number of 3.25 suggests the addressable amount under Windows XP 32-bit, aren't they NOT compatible Windows 7? I have several with Vista compatible labels, yet they all read 3.25 only usable. What is going on? How can I fix it?

Question: Only 3.25 GB of the 4 GB installed is usable in Win7pro. Why not all of the 4 GB?

The systems involved 50 + (dc7600SFF) - any use to have Windows XP pro with only 3 GB of memory (it can be used)

Try to install 4 GB and still only 3.25 usable.

The vast majority have a BIOS v2.04, while a small number have v1.61. Should be all the same? If so, which?

Is there a setting in one of these BIOS need changed? If Yes, what? Nothing stood out that suggested it needed to be changed.

Y at - it a motherboard (rider) setting that needs to be changed? I didn't notice anything in the official technical referernce to HP

Memory (DDR2, Pc2-5300 (667 Mhz) is all Micron Tech (HP labels on them). Even part correct and model numbers. These systems have a Pentium D 950 s in them, if that makes a difference. Memory well tested elsewhere and in mode only 3 GB. 4 GB shows installed but never all usable.

Miss me obviously something about these systems if someone could fill me in, please. I don't want to tell my boss that the money has been wasted to get 4 GB. As I understand it, we have to do because these systems at this time.

I tried looking for the answer to this, but found nothing. If there is a solution here in the KB already, I'm sorry in advance.

Note-Although I expect the "only 3.25 GB are usable" with a version 32-bit Windows 7pro, I only have the x 64 version. Sorry do not include what I think maybe not easy.

    Hello:

In order for a model with a chipset of Intel for Windows for "see and use" all 4 GB of memory, one needs to have a PC with an Intel 965 chipset or newer which is able to support the 8 GB of memory.

The dc7600 has the Intel 945 chipset and can only support a maximum of 4 GB of memory, which, regardless if you have a 32 or 64-bit operating system, only 3.25 GB is seen and used by windows.

It is what it is and has no way in the world to change on a dc7600 or any other model of PC that doesn't have a newer chipset or an Intel 965.

  • The virtual memory limit

    Hi all

I tried to increase the RAM of my server, it limited to 2.2 GB. If I increase above him, the server could not start and an error message come and told me there was not enough space.

It is a Dell 2950 with 32 GB of RAM.

    Who knows why?

    Thank you.

As Kevin is referring to is there could not be enough space for the VM Swap kernel file - when you turn on a machine virtual one per virtual machine Swap file is created equal to the difference of memory assigned to the virtual computer and its reserve - I am betting you have 2.2 GB of available free space on the data store

  • A question of memory to the VM

    Hello

What is the difference between "Memory usage" and "Active memory" of a virtual computer?

    Concerning

What is the difference between "Memory usage" and "Active memory" of a virtual computer?

Memory usage is the amount of memory claimed by the virtual machine to the host.  Active memory is the actively used by the guest operating system.  Active is detected by VM Ware as memory used by running programs and use global memory allocated.

  • GeekBench Score worse slower computer?

    And 32-bit:

    http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/7274925

But these scores are better... with a slower processor and less ram.

    http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/1103986

I have a Core of 3.46 Ghz 12 with 64 GB 1333 MHz ddr3 ram with a sata controller PCIe 3 as primary drive go almost 800 MB/s

There are a few places where you fall slightly below the other criterion of reference you quote interesting. In almost all, you beat the other criterion of reference. Both are running on the Mac Pro 5.1 systems. You run 10.11, the other criterion of reference is running 10.10. You have all the memory slots populated four, which is known to slow down the memory access to as much as ten percent in round numbers. The other criterion of reference is on a Mac with 3 slots populated interlaced in an optimal way.

Entire perfomance, only a few in multi-core very complex operations such as AES (encryption instructions), Sobel, Lua, Djistra in below the other criterion of reference - all others are faster.

In the floating point operations, all yours are faster.

Access memory, single pole are slightly slower, multi-core are quite a bit slower.

It's possible the tests were not built as the playing field for the newest processor, or changes in system 10,11 libraries have slowed some operations. The difference of memory can be mostly down to your use of the fourth shared memory slot. I would certainly ask the developer to test on these differences.

Overall, I would say that the performance of the two systems on this test are almost comparable.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 has v. 8500 has more

Is could someone please tell me what are the differences between these two models? I checked the plug., and all I can find is a difference of RAM (64 MB c. 128 MB); is there something else, and the difference of memory will affect the print quality?

I'm a home user of low volume and so the printing speed is not a problem, but sometimes I wish photo quality prints.

    Thank you.

8500 a base unit has a touchscreen, 2.3 "while the 8500 has more unit has a 4.3 touch screen". The base unit has a scan to send an email and Fax to send e-mail ability, in the ADF duplex printing, scan legal-size glass.

Regarding the print quality, both printers will have the same print quality, both use the same print mechanism, ink cartridges and print heads.

PS: The difference of memory does not affect print quality. But the base unit can take a little more time to make printing with many pages, the pages are stored in the memory when printing.

  • Asymmetrical cluster in RSXi

    Hi all.

I have a question about the cluster implementation,

I am aware that it is more practical to have all hosts in the cluster with the same characteristics, but what happens if they are not.

What if there is a difference of memory or an odd number of hosts 3 hosts for example.

Basically, we have a recovery with a host site, there is also a SAN replica on both sides not illustrated.

I'm happy to run to capacity in case of failure, for example we have 4 domain controllers, file 4 DFS servers. 4 Exchange CAS servers. In case of failure, I'm happy to run only 1 ms and 1 Server DFS and maybe 2 Exchange servers.

The DR site also has its on Virtual Machines running.

The question is too simple, I need to make sure there is enough size slot in the site of DR to account for failure on?

What happens if I want also to DRS, which means that the server of the site of DR has more resources and so runs out of virtual machines, thus reducing the places available for VM for main site to failover to the DR site.

    any thoughts?

    Here is a picture.

    Design.jpg

What are you using to switch hosts on the DR site?  You use SRM or just manually bring you to the top of the virtual machine of the SAN replication failure?

Is your main DC and DC DR on a dish network?

If you use SRM and failover to the site of DR the VM will be online and then follow the instructions by the DR Cluster, (HA, DRS, Slot size, ect) I usually do not set my 1 host failover settings because I love not dealing with slot sizes and having to constantly monitor and or reconfigure them if VM 1 the size of the slot punches.  I usually use the % implemented and updated my DR site 10% or 25% regardless of your consistent with.  Once everything is switched and fed on DRS will begin to move things as needed.  Also if you use SRM you can specify what hosts you want to things to start if you so desire and or have the ability to run scripts at the end of the SRM jobs to take any other necessary measures.

    I hope this helped,

If you have any other questions please let me know.

  • ? ? ? The Mem - MB host?

Can someone tell me what is the exact meaning of 'Host Mem - Mo'?

Am very confused about what he represents? I expect a clear explanation on this subject.

    Thank you

    Ganesh

    Hello

Affected memory = maximum amount of physical memory, the virtual machine can use host

Used assets = the virtual machine used actively as a % of pages of memory

Host of Mem - MB = physical memory currently allocated between the host and the VM.

The difference between memory assigned and host Mem ESX technology allowing you to approve physical memory. Some of them (transparent page sharing) work even if you are not the principal physical memory.

    Trust that this assistance.

  • Problem of JavaFx in web browser

    Hello

I want to develop a web browser in JavaFx plugin that can read an image file from the local file system of the client, change the image in the web browser and download the edited on server image. But I'm listening to the JavaFx between standalone and browser mode incompatible behaviors. In stand-alone mode, I can select the image file in the item "FileChooser" of JavaFx and view ImageView image. In browser mode, when I select the item 'FileChooser' file, there is no image appears.

What can cause the difference, security, memory or other restriction?

MiPa, NetBeans 7.1 is a suggested version.
Igor probably refers to the 7.0.1 because he used different signature model.

To extend you build.xml, you must use task ant jfx extensions.

    URI = "JavaFX:com. Sun.JavaFX.Tools.ant ".
    classpath = "${JFX." SDK.anttask.jar}"/ >
    Where jfx.sdk.anttask.jar should refer to the Ant - javafx.jar (default on Windows is C:\Program Files\Oracle\JavaFX 2.0 SDK\tools\ant-javafx.jar)
Take a look at your nbproject/jfx - impl.xml generated by NetBeans. BTW, it of always subject to change, will be final after the 7.1 version in a few weeks.

  • Starting the server managed via the Script

In our environment Windows, we start the servers managed through the Manager of nodes, but one of our requirements must be able to start managed servers when the administrator of the server (server1) breaks down. I found a way to start the servers managed through the startManagedWeblogic scripts, but they all use the default memory, the classpath and the arguments of the default file (assuming that it becomes startWebLogic.cmd and setDomain.env files). My desirable best practice would be to create a separate server for each of my servers managed script and he's ready to run rather than hack the same file and the differences in memory, the classpath and arguments for each server entry. All in the interest of faster availability.

    So here are my questions:

    (1) I guess I'll make different copies of the startManagedWebLogic.cmd and customize the file for each of them to the memory of managed servers, arguments, and classpath?
    (2) will be customizing all files in startManagedWebLogic.cmd that I copied for each server or the startWebLogic.cmd will changes too? (I assume that anything put in custom scripts startManagedWeblogic.cmd replaces the default values in the startWeblogic.cmd)?.

I found some useful information in the link below, but he starts from the principle that all of your managed servers have the same memory, the arguments of server startup and railways class, which is rarely true world. I thought I had a job and possible response to this to a point, but can't seem to find it. If details or links that anyone can provide that tells me how to crush the default values and the correct file to update and (b) the details in this file on where and how to upgrade the memory, arguments and classpath (a) will be rewarded largely with large amounts of points :)

    Thank you

"So should I add all my servers and their USER_MEM_ARGS to the setDomainEnv and then just run the standard not published startManagedWebLogic.cmd one... »

    Bingo.

"Then, there at - it a way to have him pick up the classpath of managed servers nodemanager uses or edits the file commEnv the only way to do it?

When you use the scripts such as startManagedWebLogic, the commEnv file is the only way.
When you need to change the server classpath (and all the server need managed the library), you can just drop the
jar file in the ${DOMAIN_HOME} directory / lib. Jars placed in this directory is automatically added to the system
    classpath.

For this, I'm going to get a divorce and the invitation will be on your doorstep in a few weeks.
