Difficulty of partitions overlapping

I tried to install 'Roxio Go Back' on my comp. Windows XP I had the next window =.
The partition table on the disk #1 indicates that there are partitions that overlap. Go back cannot be installed until this issue is resolved.
I have NO idea what it means.
Help, please

What I've read, you don't want to install Go Back
In any case Winxp has the system restore

    Hi all

I am confronted with a difficulty to partition my C drive. Is not be shrunk below 350 GB. I enclose two screenshots from my PC.

Let me know what I am doing wrong.

    Hello

    You are welcome

I suggest you try the options below, in the order listed.

    Turn off a quick start:

Open settings and select System.  Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.

In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '.  Click on the button Save the settings, and then close all open windows.

Restart the computer and check if you can now shrink the C partition to the selected size.

To disable the system restore option:

Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  Since the new layout, select the input of the system, then Protection of the system in the left pane.  Left click Local disk C to highlight the entry and then click Configure.  Fill in the radio button next to "disable system protection, click apply and then Ok to save the change."

Restart the computer and check if you can now shrink the C partition to the selected size.

If it is not always shrink the C partition to the required size, then try temporarily disabling the pagefile as follows.

    To disable the pagefile:

Open windows control panel, select the input of the system, and then select advanced in the left pane system settings.  Left click Local disk C to highlight the entry and then click Configure.  Running, click on the settings button.  In the next window, select the Advanced tab and under "Virtual memory", select the button change.  Uncheck 'Automatically manage the size of pagefile for all readers' and then check the radio against "No file" button  Ok in this window and click on apply then Ok in the previous window.

Reboot the laptop and try to reduce the C partition once again.

Note: When you are done, I would recommend the reactivation of all the options above to new, but definitely re - activate the swap file (just chose the option for Windows to automatically manage the size).

  • SQL pure to partition the occurrences of DateTime in windows without overlap?

I have a question who, until now, I never was able to solve with a pure SQL option.

It is difficult to explain in words, but it's something like this:
given a set date and time, I would like to partition the data into windows without overlap of 30 minutes each.

the data is supposed to be partitioned in the windows of 30 minutes, which means when the data are within 30 minutes of the first, only the first occurrence is returned. in the next second after the 30th minute, the record will be considered the beginning of a new window and is also returned. If data that occurs during the latency period is deleted. the first occurrence does not necessarily occur on the 00eme minute, so the beginning of the window is never constant.

Run the query to look the dummy data below.
    SELECT     'A' AS ID
              , TRUNC(SYSDATE) + 7 / 24 + 1 *(ROWNUM - 1) / 1440 AS datetime

  • Problem Windows/Bootcamp Partition with unsupported Mac (iMac 21.5 "mid-2011)

I tried many door routes stealth to install Windows 10 on my iMac (21.5 inch, mid-2011; 1 TB SATA disk), which seems to be not taken in charge by Apple. Whenever I try to use Bootcamp to try to establish a partition, in the end it cuts and force restarts my computer.

I decided to make my own (150 GB, FAT MS-DOS) partition and a bootable USB stick with all the files .iso on it. The bootable USB key works very well and can get into Boot EFI without problem. The score, according to the EFI boot and Windows Installer, "has a table of MBR partition...". [and] Windows can only be installed on GPT disks. »

I tried to format the partition to NTFS by using the command-line Windows, such as proposed in the link below, but after downloading the Tuxera NTFS file to move the .iso to the Windows partition image file (I guess to make its own bootable drive) the drive itself is not started.

In fact, the Windows partition came not in the start screen (hosting option after reboot OR allowing the computer initiate by itself).

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Mac/comments/3rzxd5/guide_windows_10_bootcamp_on_unsupp orted_macs.

After trying to format this partition using the Windows command line, Windows begins to remove it and provides the same error message. After some research, I found that the partitions are hybrid and need for special maintenance. I tried to use gpart, but when trying to convert ONLY TPG, took place the message in a terminal:

Caveat! Main partition table overlaps the first partition of 32 blocks!

You need to remove this partition or resize in another utility.

Caveat! Secondary partition table overlaps the last partition of

    33 blocks!

You need to remove this partition or resize in another utility.

I activated the command 'csrutil disable' in Recovery Mode in order to bypass the Protection of the integrity of the system, I found that some users of El Capitan were problems with this.

I was not able to proceed to the question since this last error and I'm not sure how to proceed, especially because I don't want to lose my data on my Mac hard drive. If anyone knows any information on how I should proceed, please let me know!

    1. you use Boot EFI on a preUEFI computer.

    2. to help TO do a FAT32 partition will also create a hybrid MBR. Please after the release of

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

    3. you need not of Tuxera, because Windows install has already the ability to convert FAT to NTFS.

    4. your built-in optical drive works? If so, your W10 ISO burn to a physical DVD and try to follow the standard installation of the BCA.

  • Recovery partition is there but does not start Recovery

    Hello

When you try to restore the image (F11 at startup), the laptop seems to be as he tries to start missing Windows installation (Windows Boot Manager error page).

Partitions 'SYSTEM', 'HP_RECOVERY' and 'HP_TOOLS' have not been affected. Recovery files of ~ 15 GB are still there!

The Windows (2nd primary) partition was deleted and then recreated as an NTFS partition. Since then, the recovery process does not start.

How can I restore my intact HP_RECOVERY partition system without using recovery DVD? (I can't access right now.)

The partition Windows has need of a specific disk label? What is the magic that breaks the recovery when an NTFS partition is all simply deleted and then re-created?

    HP ProBook 6550 b (WD701EA #ABD)

Solution: How to fix F11 penetrates is not in the Recovery Manager process

    You will need:

-This fix by HP: difficulty to the Multi-partition HP Recovery Manager (the ProBook 6550 b is not listed as a supported model, but it worked for me)

-installation of Windows (see partial solution above) a job to install the fix on your ProBook

    or

-sufficient knowledge to extract the winre.wim missing the fix above, copy it to your recovery partition and to apply any measures necessary (I did this)

    Steps to follow:

-in your work on your ProBook Windows installation open the file downloaded "sp48415.exe".

-the files will be extracted in "C:\swsetup\SP48415", open this folder in Explorer

-Right click on "F11SPFix.cmd" and run as administrator

    -the patch will be applied

Restart und press F11 at startup to enter your recovery Manager (hopefully) fixed.

  • Yet another partition Boot Camp damaged

I've initially was trying to shrink my partition Mac utility disc (in El Capitan) and then planned on using Win7 to extend the Windows partition. From what I can tell and have read here, the empty space was not left not allocated, but was created as a fifth partition that messed up the MBR and unable to start Windows.

I followed with the fix of Eversclever similar problem earlier today, but I can't get the MacBook boot recovery with ⌘R at startup. I just download El Capitan once again to make a bootable USB installation to enter the terminal and remove protection SIP in the morning. I wanted the details of my system because I'm a little concerned just making it worse until it will be unrecoverable. As it is now, I always have access to the files from the Boot Camp partition in the Finder in El Capitan. It will support during the night.

Thank you in advance for lonely T and anyone who spends their time to help out us. I really wish that disk utility would not allow editing of the partition because it seems to be in difficulty. Of course there is always risk when playing with partitions, but what is the "safest" way to do it without backup and start over?

If you are comfortable fixing the MBR issue, convert the partition without title to space and use GParted to merge windows and free space and run the Startup Repair tool, then Yes, it is possible to extend Windows using these tools.

You can also use tools like Winclone or Camptune for resize/backup/restore Windows.

Model Mac after end of 2013 supports Windows EFI, which removes the limits of use and to manipulate the MBR that allows resizing much more easily.

  • Satellite C660 will not restore, partition seems OK

    Hello

I received a Satellite C660 difficulty that not recover. Can I use F8 (or 0) to enter "REPAIR YOUR COMPUTER", but the screen goes all black. I booted from a Linux disk and partition 'Data' seems OK though I have no way to check all the files. What are my options? Is it possible to create discs of restoration of this State?

    Thank you
    Tim

    Options?
I guess that you have not created the recovery disc in the past. Fix?

Well, in that case try to access the recovery partition of HDD (using Linux?) and check if you can use the recovery image files to create recovery USB flash stick as described here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm

Otherwise I think you have to order the recovery at Arvato disk in order to recover the laptop.
Of course if you have the Microsoft windows installation media, you can use it to install the system too pilots could be downloaded from the Toshiba UE driver page

What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media.  It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

The link is on the software page and download drivers for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-Notebook-PC-series/7137590/model/7484025

Once there, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

I hope that its will work for you. I'll also test recovery on the J100 15 t - but there may not be any time soon. I don't feel the need of pain right now.

  • How Preserve timestamp when moving folder to different partitions?

I don't remember that happening before. When I cut a folder to another partition/drive to it, dates of mod and the creation of records are updated right now, which I don't want. This only happened on my other installation. What is a customizable option? If Yes, where can I change?

Answer: it's a mistake MS made that, like many of his mistakes, he refuses to difficulty.

See, it's better to innovate.  'Innovate' square tiles is just so much more exciting than the fixing of stupid mistakes.

  • Deletion of data from the second Partition Windows Vista user?

Several months ago, I had difficulty removing and installation of Norton 360 on my sysem of Window Vista (SP2) on my laptop HP G70.

I called support and they wanted me to create a second user (MARKNEW) and try to install on the second user account...   It did NOT work, so that we actually went back to the original and found the problem user and have installed correctly...

Once the problem has been resolved, I went to control panel, user accounts and deleted the user MARKNEW id.

I recently delete a program that has been installed as a system check and was looking at my C: drive to ensure that all components have been removed and USER directory, I found the remains of the MARKNEW user ID.   Although some of the entries looked like pointers to the current files, some of the files in appdata/local had actually used in space...    Can I remove these or which will cause another problem?

Can I delete or remove the whole MARKNEW?

Can / could R.click C: HD, open, locate user accounts, delete the old user folders.

Also, the support of people kind of had good things, but the extent of the performance pc's, instead of

another partition on C: or a different user account, you should / could be running the software/storage etc.,.

on a flash drive. This eliminates the fragmented amounts that go into C: by default flash player suffers...

In addition, a good flash drive increases performance, & little expensive

  • PowerVault 725N RAID: How can I reflect my C: disk 0 to 1 disk partition?

How can get to reflect the current information on the first partition of drive 0, the system C: drive on the first partition of disk 1?

I got an emergency call in someone with a Dell PowerVault 725N, who I don't know.  Of what I read, it was established as a generally as a two RAID-1, one for OS C:, d plant: OS, and a great RAID-5 set all 4 drives E:.  He lost a disc.  However, when he lost a disk, RAID-5 was no longer working with one bad drive.  Obviously, that shouldn't happen, but it did.  I gathered that training was suspended the bus sometimes because sometimes the BONE wouldn't freeze also.  The fix was to remove the bad disk, which I did and copy data, much to their relief.  Find a new drive it in the city for her, and I put it.  This is where the problems started.

-When I put in the new drive, it came very well, I wrote the signature on the disk and dynamic implemented.
-RAID - 5 E: replicated on the disc fine, but not the mirror of the c: drive, I could not mirror, so I broke the mirror and deleted the "missing" disk it holds only 4 disks, and all 4 are there.
-When I try to mirror C: to free space on the new disk, it returns the error: "could not allocate contiguous space or partition." before I can even choose the button change.
-J' deleted the E: volume, the RAID-5 volume, to get all of the space on the new drive.  Therefore, I have a disk 0, with the OS on it in the first score, a 1 with nothing, put in place a dynamic drive and D: drive which is mirrored on the first partition of the disk 2 & 3.
-Even once, when I matches of the C: drive, then select Add Mirror, I always get the error: "could not allocate contiguous space or partition.»  Of course, there is a massive amount of space on disk 1 of mirror to.
-Dell pulled all the docs that people are used to solve this problem.  How can get to reflect the current information on the first partition of drive 0, the system C: drive on the first partition of disk 1?

    Thank you!

After several reboots, read manuals and posts, try several methods without success, I finally found the problem.  It turns out, I had no chance to get it to work as it was.  The difficulty and the ONLY thing that makes the difference, without exception, has been updated of the BIOS by, 08.  After that EVERYTHING worked EXACTLY as advertised.
