6. What is the serial number and model of the MP3 player?
Method 1:
We will first try to plug in other USB Ports and on another computer to make sure that there is no problem with the digital mp3 player.

  • Problems with error Windows Media Player, that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

We have a computer that is running Windows 7 and (I think) Windows Media Player 12.  When I start ==> all programs ==> windows media player, the program starts and it seems to work.  It is a work computer, so no video or audio file is saved.

We have an online seminar that the user wants to participate in, and when we click on the link to get the webinar, an error message appears saying that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

We use Firefox (version reasonably updated, but do not know which) for internet.

I used the "fix it" tool on the website of Microsoft, but that does not solve anything.  He said it sets some configuration settings.  I thought that maybe uninstall and reinstall it can work, but I can't understand completely uninstall because it isn't in my list of programs in the control panel.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

    Nolan

    (Moved to programs)

Uninstall and reinstall could be done by searching for and opening the option "turn on or off Windows features", but I don't think it will help.

Instead, what you need is a Windows Media Player plugin for your browser (Firefox).

But before you spend effort on it, I would test to see if it's really the solution.  Try to join your webinar with Internet Explorer (where the WMP plugin is built).  If it works, you can be reasonably sure to know how to make it work with Firefox.

    1. were you able to use the drive before with no problems?

  • CD/DVD drive not detected on the computer... Dell said to reinstall Vista

I have a Vostro 1500 running Vista Basic. My CD/DVD not detected on my computer drive. I looked in Device Manager and there is a yellow alert. When I look at the properties of my drive, there is an error "this device cannot start. (Code 10) ». I ran the PSA and all tests passed. I wasn't able to install an updated driver because the device is not detected on my computer. It is listed in the BIOS.
I called Dell support week last to try to understand the problem. After about 2 hours of doing the things I had already done including the installation of new drivers (drivers installed not because the system does not detect the drive), they decided to send me a new CD drive. I received it this morning and it's another brand than what I had before, but I don't think it's a problem. The new drive I received today does not work either. It has the same problem as the original drive. I contacted Dell support online today and after explaining my situation together again (what is the use for a no of cases when I explain the problem 5 times in any case?) is first sent to a Microsoft for Windows XP KB (I use Vista so it's of no use at all) and then told that my registry is corrupt and I need to reinstall Windows. I don't buy it, but I told the tech that I was willing to humor. So, here am I, there is no information on the Microsoft support site I can find related to this specific error code. There are a lot of XP, but like I said, it's of no use to me using Vista.  My patience is wearing very thin with this situation and Dell.
Someone has any suggestions, advice or anything before I chuck the stupid thing out the window? =)

  • Micro/recorders do not detected by the computer

When I plug my Turtle Beach headphones that uses the USB port and audio and recording taken, the computer won't recognize or even detect them. This problem occurs with all headsets I've tried to connect to my computer. This problem occurs if I plug my headphones in front of my computer or back. The audio device is recognized and works perfectly, but the recording device is not detected, either. I looked at several forums help and none of the answers was able to solve my problem. I went in Panel of-> sound-> recording and box empty to view active and disabled, right-click devices but there is no present when I plug in my microphone but in the audio, it detects my helmet and I'm able to hear fine.

Please help me solve this problem.

You will have to perhaps to reinstall or install the sound device driver from the web site of the manufacturer of your PC support.

Also open "Device Management" (start / right click on "Computer", choose / click on 'Manage' and in the left column under "System Tools" click on 'Device Manager'.)  Now, search all yellow 'points of question marks (?)', especially next to the item 'audio, video controller and game '.
